What can I say about my hometown? I grew up in Killeen, and it has always been poppin and fun. You just gotta figure out where to go and the right people to know to do the things you want to do. This past weekend OMG this was my first motown show that Ive been to because I never heard about them. A friend of mine told me what was going on and sent me a flyer so my hubby,my bestie and I got dressed and went down to celebrate plus it was a little bit extra special because the day they chose to do this motown event was also my deceased fathers birthday. Yayyyy So we had a blast. There also was a Michael, Jackson impersonator. There were people that performed there was a car show and a plethora of vendors and the commentator was really funny, And make sure the people was having fun and engaging with the crowd, best of all there were things for the kids to do little contest for them and ever it really was a great event. And its nice to see theyre bringing all kids of different businesses and events to bring people back to our downtown. Go go, City of Lights

Run down buildings, still homeless although is not as bad as it was. Instead of paving downtown business streets, how about we pave major streets like Fort Hood Street which has MAJOR POTHOLES and errosion around the railroad tracks. I literally jump my truck barely going 30mph everytime I cross. How about we fix ALL of the traffic cams so people quit running reds and getting away with it. Crosswalks are unheard of on EVERY STREET downtown. My 20 year old got hit simply crossing the street not too long ago. Driver ran a red, then jumped a pothole and hit my kid. Fort Hood needs to work with the community with improving Killeen and spend some of that trillion dollar government funding in the community making it better. Instead of living in a delusional suburbia surrounded with walls, and ignoring the obvious neglect to its surrounding area. Most of speeders are coming off base doing 50+ mph in a 30 causing intentional accidents so they can get disability trying to get out of the Army, Its obvious. Police are also letting them go because theyre Army, which most cops are X Army so they get a free pass. Ever wonder why theres so many mechanic shops and totalled cars/trucks off of Rancier? Now you know. Maybe lane lines are a good idea too. Many drive in the middle of the road because they can and run stop signs on purpose due to above mentioned. And many of the cars are driving down the road in completely totalled out cars that are COMPLETELY unsafe to be on the road. Smashed out windshields, NO bumpers and the trunk is totally missing due to a rear end collision are still on the road. Theres only TWO crosswalks on rancier, and thats by the school. Theyre simply lines on the road with NO crossing signals. Ive seen people literally in wheelchairs trying to cross the street almost get run over trying to cross. If you live anywhere close to there, forget about having animals, people dont even brake and hit those too. (Cat/dog) I see dead animals on a daily basis dead in the middle of the road that are run over so many times theyre flat to the ground. Whats wrong with people? Fort Hood will always be the Hood, no matter how many times they try to change the name. Go to the south end of town, whatdya know! Roads being paved where the money is...
