I called to place my order, simply asked if I can have the total? She got an attitude, and hung up! I hate it when people choose their jobs or go into business q1 and give consumers unnecessary aggression. So I will take my business elsewhere from now on. Great Chinese food! I was impressed with the extensive menu selections. Everything was delicious right down to egg rolls and hot and sour soup. This place has been around for over 25 years. Been here about just under 10 times and every time I am pleased. Food reminds me of good old East Coast Chinese food which I just cant seem to find out in Texas prior to this place. Egg rolls are great the chicken and broccoli is all great my favorite is the shrimp egg foo young. my wife likes the sweet and sour chicken. Price is reasonable. Parking can be tough but at least they have parking across the street at a neighboring business

Taiwan Dragon has been an integral part of the Killeen community in which the owner hosted many military gatherings and commemorated it with a photo on his walls. Food is good. Service is fast and friendly. Parking is an issue. Youll need to park in the bank parking lot across the street.

Used to eat here years ago, the Rainbow Rice was always the best around. So much so that I would recommend everyone I knew to go there. Needless to say that was then. I ordered what I thought was Rainbow Rice and it was completely disgusting! It was horrible, the Rice wasnt fried. It was soggy, mushy and looked as if it only had soy sauce in it. No egg, no carrots, no peas, no onions and half the meat it used to have and only about 7 pieces of shrimp. Not sure if the owners changed or not but I will not eat there again or recommend anyone else. The lady upfront was very nice but the food...horrible! Normally I dont leave reviews but this one I had to.

OMG! Finally, a Chinese restaurant to replace (or surpass) China Kitchen! Theres not one thing we didnt have that wasnt spectacular! Probably the best Egg Drop Soup and Sweet-and-sour pork Ive ever had! And they are not stingy with their portions! I think I have at least 3 more meals. Ive been eating at Taiwan Dragon to Seafood egg rolls for over 10 years and I just got back to Killeen after 7 years of being gone and I come down here and Im just sitting in front of Taiwan Dragon right now and I wanted to eat my egg rolls I got four of them that $2.30 a piece I got four I wanted to sit back and be an atmosphere and eat and be in the establishment since Im patronizing The Establishment I was told that I could not do that because my order was only four egg rolls that was Seafood egg rolls that was $2.30 a piece this will be my last time eating there because thats not how you treat customers I dont care what they ordered you always make them feel comfortable

My husband and I went today 12/18/23 to Taiwan Dragon Chinese in killeen, because of the reviews drove us there. but was let down and so very, disappointment and discussed, when we tasted our food we order. We order our food to go, because we live Austin and wanted to take it back home for dinner, boy were we surprised. I order the fried rice combination and vegetable egg rolls. The fried rice was mushed with no tasted, the egg rolls was horrible. My husband order egg foo Yung and beef egg rolls. it was also tasteless and horrible. Our first time is now our last time. With all the pictures of our troops on their wall, giving the impression that the food is excellent with so many people coming there and false reviews. Please dont fall for the photos on their wall and people giving an excellent reviews online about this restaurant. The Chinese food is horrible. Never, ever again will we go there!!! After reading my review, and you still go to this restaurant, dont say, I didnt warn you; you will be saying I should have listen!!!!!!

Based on reviews my daughter and I went on a late lunch with high expectations. The soup was ok, what we wanted and expected. The combination plates we ordered failed our review. Mine in particular. The fried portions were so dry that I had to break off ends to even bite them. The sauce on the General Jos was good but the meat was hard cooked. The fried rice had little flavor and appearance was a let down. One piece of the sweet and sour chicken was soggy, the rest too hard. Her fried pieces were also a let down-too long on the warming tray? We will NOT be going back and wondered at the multitude of pictures of happy customers.

We ordered our food for delivery. The egg rolls are about the same size as your pinky and for one of them youre paying over a dollar. Most of the food has a weird either old pasta water smell to it or just a funky dirty smell to it. Not trying to over exaggerate or anything like that. The sweet and sour sauce. Its completely sour. It smells like straight vinegar. The shrimp egg rolls are so oily that it literally looks like youre playing an oil when you put one of them down My fiance got chow mein and its literally regular pasta. Its not the chow mein noodles or anything like that. Overall we probably spent about a good $120 on food and I personally wont be coming back. It was disgusting

This place has a misinterpretation about Sichuan flavors. The red peppers are not cooked. Panda Express does a better job. Fried rice is not more than just soy sauce smoked white rice. What a delightful hidden gem! Located in downtown Killeen and owned and operated by the same family since 1981, this treasure is sure to please. We were looking for a new place to dine, and wow, the Taiwan Dragon far exceeded my expectations. Inside the restaurant, you will discover The Wall. The Wall honors the men and women who serve in our military and consists of pictures from military units, mainly from Ft. Hood, plus friends and customers of the Taiwan Dragon. It is fascinating. The unique décor and honor of the military members on The Wall only adds to the Taiwan Dragon s charm and inviting atmosphere. The Food: Phenomenal! From the first bite, one can tell the meals are prepared fresh and with great care. It s exceptional. Each dish has a unique flavor one can only experience at the Taiwan Dragon. I have had the same entrees at other establishments, like General Tso s Chicken, but the Taiwan Dragon offers a uniqueness to its dishes, and they burst with flavor. I ordered three meals with fried rice and they forgot one of the cartons of rice. The chicken tasted old and the rice smelled like mildew and tasted rotten, I don t even know how that is even possible this place is a sad choice for Asian cuisine.

The food here isnt very good at all. Typically, it makes my family and I sick every time we eat it. I do like the patriotism they display. I appreciate the acknowledgement. But, sadly this isnt as good as it is hyped up to be. At the end of the day after about 5 good tries we had to stop eating here for our health.

Best Chinese food in Killeen and Harker Heights area. Been to a lot of them through Connecticut and Texas. This has been the best in Texas. Loved Hunan Chef in Cedar Park closed now (family issues and Covid). Trust me Taiwan is the best!! Closed on Saturdays and Sundays though. Money Maker days! Try it you will not be disappointed.

I havent visited in years so I was super excited when we found ourselves in the area. Couldnt pass up the opportunity. The sweet and sour shrimp was disappointing. Mostly it was just tempura. It didnt used to be like that here. Otherwise, portions are great and you will be taking food home. The service was excellent. They really hustle hard to cover a packed dining room and we never had to wait for drinks. Kudos big time. Everything else we ordered was excellent. Would still come back again, just not for sweet and sour shrimp.
