Quick service calm environment and the jerk bird with the cabbage is amazing. FYI I ordered extra cabbage so dont be fooled you paying for that flavor and yes it is worth it. Always a pleasure ordering from here. Vegetarian options: The side dishes are very nice even without meat.

So I traveled here and decided that I wanted some Jamaican food. I decided that I wanted Oxtails and it came with rice as well. They were apparently out of cabbage, so I decided to just have the oxtails, plantains and rice. After eating my plate last night, I ve had severe food poisoning, not even being able to keep water down. Please be cautious.

1Luv has the MOST AUTHENTIC JAMAICAN FOOD on this side of Texas! I came one time for the steamed red snapper and been going back for it EVERYDAY since and I bring other US Army soldiers with me EVERYTHING is good the brown stew snapper, steamed snapper, escovich snapper, curry shrimp and the curry shrimp are NOT small baby shrimp like those other restaurants serve my battles LOVE the jerk chicken, oxtails, brown stew chicken and the curry chicken! If you are looking for GREAT food and AMAZING customer service 1Luv is the place! Ozzy is amazing, the lady in the front is so pleasant and so are the other staff members! I HAVE to start my mornings with ackee & salt fish the only thing missing from the menu is porridge. I m gonna miss being stationed at fort hood when I leave, you guys are the BEST!

Food was pretty good. We got the oxtail plate. The vibe inside was kind of weird. We walked in and the older black lady was all laughing and joking with another customer. When it was our turn to order, it felt like we were bothering her, we got the blank death stare. None of the prices matched the menu at all. Not the ones on Google, their website, the review photos all show a different price which was still different from what I was charged. Ordered a large oxtail only shows no more than $14 and some change at the most but I was charged nearly $18! Food was decent nothing to write home about. Man this place was great I never do reviews but I had to for them first off I had a small curry goat and a large ox tail lets start with the goat it was flavorful with a mild spice plenty of meat and Im a 250 pound male it filled me the rice was moist and the peas (beans) were tender the ox tail omg were delicious they gave me plenty I spent 25 for everything it was worth every penny they were amazing you have to to try them theyre definitely worth your money and those plantains there heveanly.

Great place, Great Food, Great people! I eat here at least once a week! Only thing is, they take orders over the phone but the order is NEVERRRRR ready when you get to the store! They don t even ask for a name for the order. When someone orders over the phone it s because they wanna come in, grab their food, pay, and go! And with 1 luv you will alwayssssss have to wait! A decent spot and very tasty food and the owner or staff were great people. The only reason I give it a 4 star was due to the cost which on the sign it said one thing but when it came time to pay it seems the patron just added some arbitrary numbers which even when I calculated it made no sense but I paid and made no scene. Lets see 2 small or was it medium carry out boxes combination oxtail and brown stew chicken and two drinks $43.... oh and I add a $5 tip so $48. Lesson for today ask for an itemized receipt before hand and ask to clearly explain odd prices. So do I recommend this spot, most certainly recommend checking it out as their food was good but make sure you to ask them to explain the combination plates and or anything else. Enjoy.

I am very happy and satisfied! Portions are plenty. I ordered Oxtails and Jerk Chicken. The food was very flavorful!! Meat is tender! Definitely coming back whenever I want Caribbean Food!

Great food! I used to frequent Ava s Jamaican Restaurant but I think the business is under new management and I can tell. Food is nowhere as good anymore and customer service when I visited was less then par. So on my quest to find a new Island restaurant I stumbled upon 1Luv...thank you Jesus is all I can say...this place is bomb ,seasonings are bomb, and customer service is great. This is my new spot...love the oxtails yassss
