The Bowden was one of the first venues that I looked at because of its ability to provide both a stunning chapel as well as elegant ballroom. It was one of the few affordable venues in DFW that had this combo to target the vision I had for my wedding day. It has been such a wonderful experience working with Phoebe their catering services manager and the team at the Bowden. They have been so helpful to work with me and my budget in the planning process to help bring my wedding day vision to life. My fiance and I are so excited to have our wedding at the Bowden come December!

I attended a wedding here at at the Bowden last week for the first tine and it left me with an impression of awe. The Chapel, the hall, the layout ot the structure down to the engraved names kn the ground allowed this place to earn the title of original. I have to say one of my favorite thing was the willow tree on the side of the Chapel. As we were waiting for the bride and groom I found myself lost in the rhythmic dance of the willow tree as the wind blew

I do not have enough good things to say about The Bowden. My wedding day was everything I dreamed it would be in a place that was absolutely stunning. Every staff member involved lifted so much of my stress for the day with how helpful, kind, and organized they were. They took care of so much and made sure that our special day went exactly like we imagined it would. I toured quite a few venues before having my heart set on this one and it exceeded my expectations and gave me and my now husband a day we will never forget.

We are planning our wedding at The Bowden. The staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make sure every detail is thought out for our day. Our event manager, Phoebe Williams, was a dream to work with so organized, responsive, and genuinely caring. She made the planning process so easy and stress-free. The venue itself is stunning. The beautiful chapel space and elegant interior of the reception space creates the perfect backdrop for our special day. We are so grateful to the entire team at The Bowden and we are excited to see how our day unfolds to make it truly unforgettable!

Shelly was great to work with on the front end to book the venue. We were on a time crunch and she was very helpful in getting us booked. The location is great to avoid the far drive for other venue options up near Little Elm. Having the chapel and reception space in the same area with plenty of parking was a huge plus. Personally, were big fans of natural lighting so that is a huge plus with the Bowden. Phoebe (catering services manager) has been great to work with - very responsive and proactive. There are a ton of functional items included with the rental that we intend to use: Very broad lighting customization, projectors in the reception space, TVs in the cocktail area, audio built into the chapel, etc! Its worth a tour if youre in the market for your wedding. Well be having ours in July!

We have been doing events here for a few years now. They have a chapel on property and a big reception space. Highlights from both spaces include very large windows and lots of space. We were back here again a few weeks ago for a wedding which had us provide DJ, MC, Uplights, Sound and Dancing on a Cloud. Most often we are here for Mallu wedding receptions. It s a great space for South Asian events.

We recently attended a birthday party at the Bowden venue and the staff there were very uninviting. Overall, the venue was nice, but there were several instances during the party that the staff were very unwelcoming. For example, we overheard few of the Bowden staff members cussing at the food caterers while we were grabbing food. This is highly unprofessional and unacceptable. We weren t able to enjoy the party because the chef tried to remove the food even though there were many people yet to eat. That was just the beginning but we will definitely never book with them for any of our future parties for our family.

Beautiful Venue, but staff are very rude and have zero hospitality. I recently attended the birthday party hosted by one of the most prominent business women in DFW. The party was for her kids and we were very excited to take part in their celebration, but this excitement unfortunately was very short lived when we arrived at the venue. When we arrived, we were met by the Bowden staff unprofessional behavior. They had no smiles on their faces, no welcoming behavior, and had very mean demeanor throughout the evening. Their expressions and attitude made me feel like I was there for a free meal and the staff were paying for it. On another instance, I was asking one of the staff where the restrooms were and they just walked past me like I was invisible. I am normally not the one to write reviews online, but had to share my bad experience here so that it will not repeat to other guests in the future. I really felt bad for the hosts as they are genuinely nice people. If it was me hosting a party in the future, I would not come back here.

The best wedding venue Ive been to. The catering is perfect. The grilled Mahi Mahi and beef tenderloin was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The cakes were amazing. Staff was super helpful. Location and our room and entrance was fancy and nice, food was dry and not good. We were there for a school sports banquet. The servers were nice and did a good job, the plating looked good, but the steak was really overcooked and the chicken was almost inedible due to being so dry. The potatoes and broccoli were good. I just know food costs a lot of money, and many people commented how badly the meat was prepared.

My husband and I heard of The Bowden through a friend and we immediately went to go tour the venue. We loved the beautiful chapel with large windows allowing natural sunlight for our ceremony, the dark wooden beams above us, and the ample amount of space for our guests. The reception hall is next door to the chapel which was very convenient. The Grand Ballroom is so modern, maintained very well, and created a great environment to make a memorable night with all your loved ones! Indian weddings require coordination, teamwork, professionalism, and most importantly, good timing. The Bowden, the employees, and the lovely day of coordinators worked so hard to ensure our day was perfect. Our family and friends enjoyed the tasty food made by the chef, great drinks from the kindest bartenders, and loved dancing the night away! We would recommend this venue to our family and friends! What a beautiful venue to celebrate a special day! From our initial visit to our final decision to go with Bowden, we have no doubt that this will be the perfect venue for our celebration. The chapel is simply gorgeous and the natural light through the large windows will make the wedding cheerful and bright. The ballroom is just the right amount of grandeur, but not over the top. The high ceilings and large windows give this space a nice openness and the patio in the back is a nice, extra space for anyone that wants a little time outside. The Bowden Events and Wedding Venue is one of the Most Outstandingly Beautiful Venue in the Metroplex. The Chapel is breath taking with its beautiful with its glass window view to the gardens and beautiful and spacious dressing rooms for the Bride and Groom. The Ballroom is very spacious and open with glass windows across the back wall, beautiful dance floor and spot light accents and lovely chandeliers. The staff is very professional, friendly and easy to work with. The Chef prepares delicious high quality meals with a variety of menus. What an incredible place to get married! We were blown away by the space when we toured and it was even more beautiful the day of our wedding. The food is outstanding; all of our guests had nothing but great things to say about it. The team was also really flexible for our gluten free and vegan guests, giving us ideas and alternative options to suit those dietary needs. As the father of the bride, I felt sticker shock at every turn during the planning process. And there was no surprise that the venue & seated dinner at the Bowden was the biggest bill. And yet the highest value for the money hands down. The staff was beyond professional: responsive, clear communication, and helped my wife and daughter every step of the way. The food was wonderful, and the day-of staff was flawless. We were all impressed and happy with The Bowden, but even more impressive was the unending compliments from the wedding guests. The Bowden is an amazing venue! I got the bridal attendant (Jennifer), and she was terrific! Food was great. I definitely recommend going to a tasting and doing a day of rehearsal. Most of the bridal party was coming from out of town so that left Friday night for our Bachelor/Bachlorette parties. The staff is VERY friendly and accommodating. My wedding was perfect!

Five Stars isnt enough to describe our experience with the Bowden. We just had the wedding of our 3rd daughter and used the Bowden for the event. I cant begin to say enough great things about the entire staff there. Denielles team was simply fantastic and guided us thru the sea of details to make our event such a success. I have heard from so many guests how GREAT the food was. Heather handled the event order and timeline, Jennifer was our wedding coordinator and Frances handled the coordination of the facility the evening of the wedding. They were all amazing and we were so appreciative of everything they did for us. You could tell that they wanted the evening to be special as much as we did. WOW. The facility was beautiful and literally had everything we wanted and/or needed. Do yourself a favor and use these wonderful folks for your next event.

We had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances out of our control, we paid in over $10,000 and cancelled 8 months in advance. They don t return anything. Not even 25% of it. People have to work months and months to be able to even gather that much money. As a non profit company you d think they wouldnt want to withhold that money from someone. Before out appointment we sent the even coordinator a rough copy of what we were looking for within our budget. The coordinator said the venue will be able to accommodate this budget and will work with us. During our meeting the event coordinator kept cutting off my mother and I when we were speaking regarding venue details. It seemed like she was not listening at all especially since after we asked for an itemized quote, the amount was 7k over what we discussed. If the venue was unable to accurately accommodate their services to our needs I would have appreciated them being transparent and upfront with us during the initial conversation verses wasting out time. Further more we asked for quotes regarding details (i.e. pictures of the table setting, different cloth options ect) the email was NEVER sent out. Its as if the coordinator did not have any intentions of furthering any relationship. We were genuinely interested in booking this venue this year however after the inconsiderate behavior of the staff, I decided to move forward elsewhere. Be informed before walking into this place. Additional charges out the waaazooo and very dismissive staff.

Wonderful staff, very helpful and tireless in their pursuit of you having a perfect day. The appetizers and food were very good. The dressing rooms were spacious and comfortable for both sides of the wedding party. The location provideds plenty of places for wedding photos and the chapel is beautiful in the setting sun.

This review is a little late, but thought it was worth sharing. We went to visit this venue and were not necessarily impressed with the professionalism of the staff, but, despite that, the venue was beautiful so we decided to go back and book our date. When we returned, we were about to hand over payment when I noticed there was a wedding booked for the same day as ours even though they promised they only do one booking per day. Upon asking, the coordinator said that if we were to read the fine print, we would find that it was allowed under certain circumstances. Not sure what else had fine print attached to it, we took our payment and booked someplace else. It wasnt worth trying to figure out what else could be hiding in that fine print and we no longer trusted the integrity of the venue.

We LOVED the Bowden! Had our wedding here and it is such a beautiful venue! Denielle Godwin was absolutely incredible to work with. She jumped through hoops to ensure that it was such a special day for us! She was amazing! Chef Erwin s food was beyond delicious, and he was so good at advising what would go well together! He was so great to work with! We worked with Jennifer for a bit as our day-of coordinator and she was great! David took over after her and he was awesome! Loved my big day at The Bowden!
