Too many rocks and too many muscles on rocks and in the sand. The muscles have invaded the lakes. Went out there for Memorial Day weekend and everyone that entered the water came out cut up. I do not recommend unless you love pain because you will leave in pain if you enter the water.

The lake here is noticeably suffering more from the dry weather then others. Most of the boat docks are sitting on dry land. The $20 entry fee is okay if you are launching a boat but outrageously expensive if you are doing anything else considering the small number of amenities provided. If you dont plan on boating and just want to go swimming off the bank I dont recommend this park. The lake shore is covered in very sharp zebra muscles as every other place on lake travis is but the ones here are buried in a layer of mud & impossible to see. The water here is also thick with algae compared to other parks in the area.

$20 parking fee per car doesnt matter if youre 1 person or 10. So load up the family and come to this tiny little park with very little shoreline that doesnt offer much. This place was great when the price was free. Id even pay the $5 per person that most parks charge but it just doesnt make sense now unless Im bringing at least 3 others along. Maybe if they offered a season pass? Anywho, 3 starts because theres water.

The park is nice and has some good areas you can set up at but you have to make sure you get there early enough. I like how they added air conditioned bathrooms, everytime i had to use a porta potty i risked heat stroke. However, the park did add a 20 dollar charge so if youre going to hangout on the water or just by the lake side be sure to be there a while to make what you spend count!

Update: The daily admission is $20 per car which seems a little excessive given the amenities and type of park it is. You can get into bigger county parks on the lake for $5 a day and that pass is good for multiple parks. For that reason Im changing my 5 star review to 3 Great place to launch a boat, catch some fish, or just hangout with the friends and family. Pets allowed on leashes.

So Jonestown decides theyre not making enough money off this place already. A $15 launch fee and hardly anything to make the park worth it wasnt bad enough, now its $20 to launch AND $20 TO PARK THERE AT ALL! Of COURSE they used COVID as the excuse for this change. Well funny how the change is still in place even long after the easing of COVID restrictions. I think we all know the real reason then. (Yes, its greed. But probably also to keep the riff raff out too like others said because the elite wish to have nothing to do with the rest of us as we all know.) Heres hoping it backfires and teaches them a lesson. Based on what others have said, it already sort of is. Youre making enough money off people as is, Jonestown. You dont all need 2 or 3 lakeside mansions to feel satisfied with life, and if you do, its YOU that needs change. Not your life. I wont be coming back, so hey, Im glad that getting rid of people like me was your goal anyway.

Have been visiting this park for years. The park itself is nice, it has some of the basic amenities that any park would have and lots of areas with open space. In addition it has a couple of areas to launch a boat, almost unlimited areas along the bank to easily launch a kayak and to fish. However now theyre charging everyone a $20 (parking) fee. Again the park is nice and clean, but it doesnt even have half the stuff that Brushy Creek Lake & Sports Park has in Cedar Park. If youre planning on doing anything else besides launching a boat here it would be more worth it to just go somewhere else, or to Brushy Creek Lake Park because they dont charge any fees and have more amenities there. (Im giving it 2 stars because of the $20 parking fee.)
