My boyfriend and I decided to give this place a shot since we were in the area. Although we have our go to spot, however this place was far better. The cozy atmosphere was perfect, I recommend it for sushi lovers who prefer more fried rolls. The rolls were the perfect size, and they re very generous with the portion sizes, just enough to make you full. We re definitely coming back the 30-minute drive is so worth it!

Im going to start with saying Im a little biased. We started going to Tims, the owner, first restaurant in Plano back in 2006 so weve known him since then. He was the first person to ever serve our son fish so theres a lot of history. That aside its very rare we get to Irving since the pandemic so it was a rare treat to get to stop in here since we hadnt seen him in a couple of years. Outside of personally liking him, his food is truly remarkable. He has always taken such care in offering such high quality food and sushi and that continues. Our poke bowls were absolutely phenomenal. So look past my obvious bias and what really matters here is the quality of the food and the character of Tim and you will not be disappointed.

I ve been to this place 3 times in the past week and a half. Very fast service and the food is so fresh! Great portion sizes on the Poke bowls. Each time I ve gotten the build your own poke bowl. Take out and dine in are both great, my takeout bowl was so big I ate it for 2 meals. The prices are also very reasonable!! Would highly recommend! And they have complementary miso soup for dine in customers :) Very laid back atmosphere, great place!!

Excellent place! My family and i went for the first time this weekend and everything was delicious. We tried the build your own poke, shrimp ramen, and sushi, and got them all as combos plus and order of seaweed salad. Everything came out fresh and quickly, and it was a huge amount of food for the price. The sushi rolls were stuffed with filling, I had a big amount of fish in my poke bowl, ramen was hot, the miso soup was yummy, and it was a huge portion of seaweed salad. Employees were very kind and polite. So glad we stopped by, keep doing what you re doing!!

I got the Chasu Ramen lunch special. It was very tasty and flavorful. It had a fantastic smokey flavor and the chasu was unlike any Id ever had. It was almost like a smoked brisket ramen. It was sooo good!!! The savoriness of the meat and broth were fantastic! Will definitely order again!

I had a sashimi bento box. Great food with generous portions at a low price. I will definitely go back. Service gets 3 stars because this is counter service, not table service. I have no idea how this place gets its high rating. It is a walk up to counter to order type place, nothing at all special about it and looks somewhat janky. The man taking order Hispanic guy looked lost the entire time we ordered and I never knew if he really understood what I was saying. I asked if they have California rolls (very basic standard order) he gave blank stare, I ask again, he says yeah in a lost way like when you have no idea what someone is saying. I had to check menu and ask again to order. So that experience was...weird. then we wait for food didnt take long looks ok...taste like I should get sick from eating it. The egg rolls are very pastry like instead of just flaky inside and there is hardly any vegetable and looks weird. This aint my first rodeo with Japanese food. I would say this may be the worst Japanese Ive ever had. The plain edamame was ok...its the only thing I could finish...barely. California roll had a ton of crab but hardly any veg. The ginger was AWFUL and pink lol. Was not good at all. The sauce for the egg rolls was good. Would never recommend or come back. I think A.I. is making up these ratings because there is no way its anywhere near any 4 star.

The food was very good. I had the chasu ramen and my daughter had a poke bowl. Of the two, I think the ramen was the better choice but she enjoyed her meal as well. We were there shortly before 8:00 PM on a Wednesday evening and their hours say they are open until 9:00 but I got a very were closing up for the night vibe from the start. We left shortly before 9:00 and they werent locking the door behind us but probably only because someone else had showed up and was placing a to-go order. I will go back if I get the chance but only if I can arrive earlier in the evening.

Wonderful place with great food on a budget price. Employees are nice but it was a slow day when I went. Grab your family for a great value on sushi at the sushi poki. Its near alot of the hotels, maybe walking distance for some travelers wanting a light meal with their walk of the area. The back roads there are nice at night for star gazing when the parking lot lights are out. Hope to swing by the next time Im in the area.

I have gone here several times for the Salmon Poke. For those of you who arent familiar poke or a poke bowl is essentially a sushi salad. The salmon poke has raw salmon, crab, thinly sliced cucumber, white or brown rice, lettuce spicy mayo, pineapple and crunchy onion toppings. The addition of pineapple really rounds out the flavor profile with a bit of sweetness to pair with the salty soy sauce, the spiciness of the mayo and savory sides of the salmon and rice. While the meal itself leaves you feeling full, it is light enough to leave you satisfied but not overly full and lethargic. This has become one of my favorite quick grabs for a reasonably healthy lunch. The staff are always super friendly and to go orders have always been ready very quickly which is a plus when stepping out from work for a quick break. I have yet to try it but I imagine their sushi is top notch as well. The salmon used appears to be top quality and is always very fresh. A well deserved 5 stars from me.

I dont know how this restaurant was before as Cbowls Poke and I dont know if its still the same owner with just different business names. Their restaurant name is Sushi Poki as of today. I had a poke bowl today there and it was the worst Ive had. I meant, poke bowl cant be bad because it is not something you cook. It is just all about ingredients you put. The ingredients in their poki are just way different from regular poke bowl elsewhere, or from the pictures uploaded in previous google reviews (that must be for when Cbowl Poke was operating). The ingredients were so stingy. Not just they are stingy about fish but all other ingredient like seaweed, etc. (Now I dont remember it had any seaweed,,?) When they served my poke bowl, it made me think for a while they made a wrong order. The owner/cook obviously never had any poke out there.

We ve been looking for a standout poke bowl place and this is definitely it. After the first time I went there, I literally sat and thought wow for awhile after eating my meal. Each time we ve gone, the bowls have been made impeccably well. They put a lot of care into how the bowls are composed, which makes a big difference. The fish itself is very fresh and not fishy tasting at all, with excellent texture. Even the chicken is good as a protein option, for non-fish eaters. They heat the chicken separately and put it on top which is a nice touch. You can get kale, brown rice, or white rice as a base (we usually get half kale half rice, which I recommend). The kale is cut into nice small strips which you want for this kind of preparation. All of the toppings are really good and flavorful, but you can t go wrong with the seaweed salad, the crab stick, or the crab salad. We recommend the garlic ponzu sauce in particular. The guy who runs it is very nice and always willing to answer questions. After lunch you leave feeling full and satisfied but not weighed down by your meal. This place has made it into our regular rotation.

Other fast casual poke bowl establishments offer more of same quality for same price or less. So not the best value around but would still recommend. Edit: After finishing this meal I am absolutely still hungry. I have to lower the number of stars, hopefully this motivates the owner to be less stingy with quantity. I would love to come here again for a good filling meal at a clean place. Staff is professional and knowledgeable. Good for ramen and equally good for poké. Ordering food was so simple and easy, I had more time to actually talk to the people I was with.
