I have visited other Saltgrass restaurants and eaten at this one before. I think we caught them on a bad day. Food was not up to usual standard. Mashed potato tasted old and not usual standard. Loaded potato had tough dry skin. Disappointed on this occasion but usually have no complaints about saltgrass

I came here for my 13th birthday and I know that doesnt mean much but I remember it so clearly. My server had a great attitude and always smiling to make others day and DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE FOOD! I got myself Baby Back Ribs and they nice and just they way I like them, plus they had sauce that they gave me as a recommendation and it made it smokey, smooth with a little kick to it and it was graceful.

A few days ago, my son and I went to have a late lunch at this location. We go to this restaurant frequently and have never had an issue. Our server was top-tier. Our food came out, and my son discovered that there was a screw in his broccoli. We were so shocked we didnt take a photo or anything. The server was extremely apologetic and said he would take the dish away and check in the kitchen. The manager Santos Rivas, Came over and asked us what had happened. We told him again there was a screw in the broccoli and my son almost ate it. This guy has the nerve to look at us both so accusatory. He was just like wow thats so weird. The tone of his voice was so obvious that he thought we had planted a screw in the broccoli. This sounds ridiculous, even writing it, but I need people to know that they did nothing to rectify the situation. He said he would remove the broccoli from the bill, but how in the world could he do that because it was part of the dish! So this review isnt as much about The food, its about this manager, who immediately assumed that we somehow had done this. My son and I both make pretty decent money so $100 at this steak house was not going to break our bank. I can assure you if we had been 2 well dressed businessman he wouldve immediately comped the whole meal. He was unprofessional and made it clear he didnt care. When we left he was sitting at a table with some employees chatting and laughing. Highly recommend anybody who goes to this restaurant to check their food. The screw couldve come from the prep table or God knows what. Some people work in the kitchen after coming from another job and they may work in another field where they use screws so I dont know. I also reached out to their corporate office and they did nothing but a phone call promising to make it right. But nothing. I wish we had taken a photo now, but we were so shocked, we did not. Check your food when you eat at this place!! Horrible management.

Ozzy, our waitress was fabulous. She was personable, attentive and went out of her way to make our experience spectacular. The manager, Jacques was also very friendly and checked on us several times throughout our meal. Great service like this makes the experience, and they do a superb job at this location going that extra mile. That is hard to find these days!!

Awesome place highly recommend. Had the Pat s ribeye with sweet potato, asparagus and crab meat tasty. Atlantic salmon also awesome with sides. Classic chop steak succulent. BBQ ribs and garlic mashed potatoes yummy. Bacon wrapped quail amazing. The fried shrimp are huge. All sides fantastic. Definitely will order again had delivery. Great place.

Steaks cooked to perfection. Great bread, mashed and baked potato. Best of all was Morgan was a fabulous server - got order correct even with exceptions, kept drinks full, checked on how food tasted, and remembered to bring us our soup at end of meal in take out containers bagged and ready to take home (we like to take it home because if we eat any of it in the restaurant we get too full to enjoy our steaks ). I got the wagyu bone in steak with sweet patato fries and a crab cake. I was in heaven! The crab cake was to die for. The steak was melt in your mouth good, and the sweet patato fries were perfectly crispy. We had the quaso and the deep-fried pickle/jalepenos. There wasnt a single thing I didnt like about the food here. I would recommend this place to all my friends and family.

We went for Happy Hour. They have 1/2 Apps and drink specials. Order nachos, Brussels sprouts, beef tenderloin, crab cakes, and cheese fries. My favorite was the crab cakes. The staff was so wonderful. Truly recommend this place near the DFW airport.

I was excited to get a last minute reservation here, as it was my first time and ive always wanted to try it. REGRETS! The hostess who sat us was wonderful, and the server started out on a good foot. But he never came to check after someone dropped off our entrees. If he would have, or if one of the 2 managers would have asked, our food was cold. I got the chicken fried chicken, it was overbreaded and the gravy was congealed. My boyfriend had the urban cowboy, it was also cold and not tasty. Unfortunately, I will not be going back.

Having a date night for our relationship check-in, and we wanted Saltgrass. I typically avoid this location due to their cooks, but my partner wanted to go to the closer one. Hand to god, our server Chanze is the *only* reason I would come back. She is very pleasant, professional, and fun to talk with - I swore up & down she had fine dining experience or training, nope! It was just her collective experience. I am so grateful for the wonderful time we experienced tonight! If you go to this location, ask for her & you wont be disappointed! My brother and I were in town (California) visiting our 80 year old mom and she loves a tasty steak! We dined at your Saltgrass Steakhouse establishment at 560 West Frwy - Irving, TX. This location was very professional, friendly, amazing food to choose from and with GREAT customer service! Santos the manager made sure every customer was happy and satisfied with their meals ordered, especially their steaks cooked to PERFECTION! We will return again! Vegetarian options: I try to eat vegetarian meals when I dine out too! Great options to choose from and will accommodate your dietary needs. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair Parking was very close to the entrance and they held the doors open upon seeing us entering the restaurant.

Traveling on business. Just wanted steak in my room. Randomly picked Saltgrass and to my surprise it was awesome even in my room. I had those range fritters. The best stuffed jalapenos Ive ever had. I had the grilled shrimp with my steak and they were incredible. The smashed potatoes were good and even the delivered steak was flavorful. The only thing I can complain about was not getting my A1 sauce that I asked for. Nonetheless, the steak was still good without it. I look forward to going back and sit in with the meal hot.

My husband and I were excited to have lunch at Saltgrass but our visit was not so good. We were charged dinner prices for lunch. Our waitress forgot my dinner salad. As for my order, I ordered mash potatoes and I got fries. I pointed it out to the waitress so she bought me out mashed potatoes. The mash potatoes were extremely salty so the waitress offered to replace them with a salad. My husband was charged for dinner shrimp and he ordered the lunch. When we got the bill she charged me for the salad. I inquired and she said it s considered an add on. That s not what she told us at first. So our Anniversary lunch was not pleasant at all.

My husband and I are visiting from West Virginia. This place was a great choice. The food was very delicious and the staff was very friendly. One of the staff recommended the carrot cake, which was on point.

We came for a medical procedure and were a bit anxious about our day. Santos the manager greeted us and immediately welcomed us and suggested some of his favorites. We settled on the rib eye, filet, and ribs/chicken combo. All three were great, but it was the friendly atmosphere of the staff that really set the night apart!

Had an excellent lunch at Salt Grass with my coworker. We were greeted very promptly and treated like family. Food came out fresh and on time. The service is really what stands out at this place. Santos is one of the managers up there, and he really elevates the dining experience. He was very friendly, and you can tell that your happiness comes first at his restaurant. Melanie was our server and she did a fantastic job as well. I would 10 out of 10 recommend this restaurant to anybody and everybody.

We were there for my birthday February 28, 2024 Food was fine. We ordered steak, a 22 onces and baked potato. The baked potato was very small= Downsized. Typical nowadays to save pennies and dimes.. We asked the waitress for a complementary piece of cake, but she said, it is not free.. ok bring it anyway. Wau Very very expensive...a little tinny piece of cake, Next birthday we will go to outback steakhouse instead. More food and a free cake for the birthday person... I wont be surprised this location will be closed soon.. it looked very slow for a Wed. night... Manager, never showed up to ask us if everything was ok.. of course. Hes getting fired anyway. 1st time eating at Saltgrass and was not impressed. We were 7 people, 3 rolls of silverware had food still stuck on them, my daughter got water that had particles floating in it, our food was delivered on dirty plates. The service wasnt to bad, but it did take awhile to get our food even though it wasnt busy. Staff was friendly but the overall experience wont be bringing us back in.

Went there couple of times. Was good experience overall. But yesterday on Valentine s day we went there, I ordered the Cajun Ribeye. But they messed up my order and gave me one dish that had newyork strip, not ribeye. I understand that it was very busy and mistakes can happen. However when I informed them, they took that plate away and 5 minutes later served me the same thing, only this time they made the shrimp cajun and made it look like the dish that I ordered. They totally tried to trick me hoping that I wouldn t understand that its not the same. Probably they thought that I don t know my steak. So, I politely sent back the food again and finally they gave me ribeye. I could have accepted that the first time it was a mistake but the second time presenting a dish differently to trick your customer is pure fraud. Wont be going there again.

---Update: 02/06/24--- Curbside pickup arrived on time! But it was missing a side when I got home. My fault, shouldve checked everything before leaving the premise. Called and was able to speak to the manager, Jason, who graciously had the missing side ready for pick up, and even added a slice of cheesecake as gesture of good faith. Since the side was for my wifes meal, and the cheesecake was her new favorite, it really made her night, which in turn, made my night too. Not only do we have one more item to order from now on, but we also came away with a pleasant experience. Jason deserves all the praise and credit. ---Update--- Order #11771 I placed a pick up order, arrived on time, and texted in for pick up. Food never came out, had to go in after waiting for another 20 minutes or so, and the bartender was able to bring my order out right away - they responded to my text but promptly forgot about it thereafter. I guess at least the steak wasnt completely cold yet? This is the kind of service that tries to tack on an automatic 20% tip on checkout. In my experience, its not even worth 2 cents. The lowly McD down the road can get you through without waiting 20 minutes on some nuggets. Good food but dont bother with tips until youve satisfied your craving for decent steaks and received acceptable service.

A party of 16 here! We decided to eat here after an engagement due to other reservations being canceled. The food wasnt that great. It couldve been the cook because I personally havent experienced bad food from here. The entire table food wasnt tasteful! My husband ordered a well-done steak and got medium rare. Alyssa always provides great service. Baked potato soup you cant go wrong with. Crab cakes make a great appetizer to any meal. Filet medium rare is awesome. Alyssa is 1st class and will make sure you order is correct and drinks are flowing.
