This is a new location and has been in operation for around 9 months and the raving reviews attracted me. This is some of the best Korean food you can eat in the DFW area. We were seated promptly with a smile and the order was taken. The host offered helpful suggestions with our order as well. This restaurant is well known for their hot pots and the booths have burners for family style eating. Service was really quick with the salads / small eats arriving first. Each of the small bowls were unique in flavor and tasted amazing. You can ask for refills and they are provided with a smile. The dumplings and Bulgogi with rice were excellent. The Bulgogi is definitely spicy but it hit the right spot where you wanted to continue eating more. Be cautious when you place your order and specify spice levels if you cannot handle the heat. Plenty of parking available. The restaurant is spacious and well maintained. Pricing : Moderate Will I return? : Absolutely! I need to try the hotpots on my next visit.

Came out to a Dallas trip with some friends and this place is a must have for dinner if you craving something yummy and filling. Esther was a great server and took great care of us. She is so attentive and friendly. Everything we ordered was delicious I recommend the seafood pancake and bossam (#2 lettuce wraps with boiled pork) for sure. I wish I had a second stomach to try out the stew too.

I think i found my new favorite korean restaurant! We got the bossam and seafood pancake. The seafood pancake was perfectly thin and crispy (which is what we asked for) and the bossam was seasoned just right. I loved all the banchan too. We got such a warm welcome and they were so friendly. Even gave us watermelon punch dessert at the end! I will definitely come back! Wishing yall the best!

Great Korean restaurant! Has great pork belly, very tender and great flavor. Cold noodle is excellent, slightly sweet and not too vinegary. Bulgogi isn t too sweet, has lots of veggies, and great flavor. Owner was super attentive with our large party, kept our sides full and was coming by multiple times to make sure we were okay. The sides had good flavor, my mom really loved the peppers they were super spicy! She even bought a small jar of it from the owner. Excellent for anyone who likes SPICY spicy. Kimchi wasn t too sour and the pickled radish was my personal favorite perfect crunch and not sour! The seafood pancake was crispy, came with a great soy sauce based sauce that was very flavorful (we tried the kimchi one and well but the seafood one is way better!). Its also amazing how late they stay open! This has been our 3rd visit and each time was great, I hope this place continues to thrive and I look forward to showing more friends and family this great food spot!

This place is a nice hidden gem outside of the rest of Korea town. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the attention for Esther and others are fantastic. So friendly and helpful. I ve had great Korean food in the past, but my Gold Spoon experience was special. It was food made with love, the kind created only by those with a passion for their culinary trade. Like going Grandma s house for Christmas when you were a kid. The Banchan was the best my wife and I had ever experienced. My favorites were the fish cakes, eggplant, and cucumber. My wife s were the regular and the radish kimchi and the jalapeño. Our seafood pancake was crispy and balanced well with the dipping sauce. The LA short ribs were above average thickness and well above average flavor. However, the star of the meal was the squid stir fry with the purple rice sides.The sauce was rich and packed with flavor, and I would ve happily eaten this delicious sauce on top of the purple rice alone - so the squid and remaining ingredients made a perfect dish all the better. First off, Esther was excellent making my sister, baby and I feel so welcome. When we first arrived (around 12:50pm) on a Thursday, there were no other guests, so we were worried that maybe we chose the wrong place, but the atmosphere was quiet and Esther tended to us like guests of honor. We ordered the seafood and noodle hotpot with the short ribs & a seafood pancake - all of which came out quickly and tasted delicious. Everything was so fresh! She refilled our side dishes of kimchi, pickled cucumber, spicy jalapeños, eggplant, and fish cake as needed without being asked and even brought out a side dish of mung bean cake that they usually serve for dinner for us to try. Even the steamed rice was delicious! We ate to our heart s content and my baby slept through the whole lunch to the k-pop tunes playing in the background. She offered us to go boxes and even a drink to go, but we declined bc we weren t going straight home. Overall, a delightful experience for a first time and I m already looking forward to visiting again with my husband since he dislikes crowds. (It s helpful with the baby too but I could swear I ve seen this parking lot packed out at night!) I m sure he ll appreciate Esther & her charm. I even heard her offer a side of kimchi to a delivery driver picking up a to-go order - so kind! Can I also say that I judge a place by their water and when she served it to us, she claimed it was the best iced water in Dallas and ya know what - it WAS phenomenal. I can t stand being served tap water or room temp water. And even though she was joking, I just wanted to note that I appreciate a good glass of water that actually tastes good. So kudos for that. they do serve other beverages and some alcoholic drinks too, if you re into that. Would recommend! Would return again!! Thank you so much!

The ban Chan is the best we ve had in the DFW area! Good portions and very tasty dumpling and rice cake soup - will definitely come back. Very authentic korean food. Literally everything was delicious including all side dishes. Kimchi was so good we had to order some to go. Portions are huge, we ordered way too much not knowing each order is like for 2-3 people. The best part was the service. Our server was so positive and enthusiastic. Was here last night because I was curious how this restaurant got such a good mark. Me and my daughter were not impressed. The seafood scallion pancake was not as crispy or fluffy like we used to have at the other restaurants. The seafood soup was just ok, the broth was not as sweet as I expected LA Kalbi was good but was 40 minutes late due to the forgetfulness of the waitress who forgot to write it down on our order. We almost finished the meal and was wondering why it took so long. We ended up having to take the Kalbi to go.

I took my mom for a belated mothers day lunch here and the food and service were amazing. I had the doenjang jigae and my mom had the tteok mandu guk. We shared a pajeon which I have been craving more of since we left. The banchan were delicious. Got my mom to try some blueberry soju with me and I think she is hooked.
