Very dissapointing. It used to our one of the favorite restaurants. We havent ordered from here for many years. Thought well give it a try tonight. Butter chicken tasted worst, and chicken Biryani didnt taste fresh. Chicken kebab was okay, only thing we liked was naan. Never going back again.

Dera Grill is so underrated. If you wanna have authentic taste of Lahore, look nowhere else. This place is so conveniently Located in irving. I live right across Dera Grill And often do takeout from here. Sometimes I cook at home and grab Tandori Naans from here. Food is always fresh and made with desi ghee. I am eating their Halwa Puri right now While writing this review. And I feel like I am sitting in Lahore having that exact taste that I miss. Their Nihari, Haleem, Paya, karahi chicken, daal and Pakora curry are must try. Restaurant is mostly famous for catering, but they also have a very clean dining area. I give them five stars for their food!

Great food. Great Service. Everything was extremely fresh and delicious. We ordered aloo naan, Chapli Kabab, beef cheeseburger, chicken biryani, plain naan, chai and Nehari. Everything was great but aloo naan and chicken biryani were exceptionally good. We ordered Lahori Chanay as well. They really were Lahori chanay in looks and taste. Had a wonderful experience.

Staff/owner were friendly. A/C doesn t really seem to work. Paya was def watered down and was three bones and literally two tiny bites of meat- wouldn t get it again. Naan, nihari was good but no fried onion topping (not necessary but nice to have with nihari). Ladies restroom had no soap (I ve only been here twice and it was like that both times) - wonder if staff is washing hands I guess just say Bismillah folks

Last minute stop by at Dera grill iftar buffet. Was little late .There were not enough items but ginger chicken karahi, chicken tandoori, chole,and fried cauliflower was good. Resturant was lil dark. 2year back i tried their Goat chop. It was delicious and my brother came from Alabama and he loved the goat chop. It takes 25 minutes to make so different not order this time. Another thing is this restaurant is little dark , less light and i didn t like that. Mostly ppl do take out.

Food is generally good. But recommend getting take out. The place has always been a little run down looking on the inside. Dont get a particularly clean feeling from it. The servers were confused with our orders and brought out the wrong food. Told us the wrong dishes that were not available. They were nice servers but should have wrote down our orders.

I was excited and convinced my office to order from this establishment. Upon entering IO immediately felt unwelcome and unwanted and the cooks were eating as they cooked. The food was disappointingly bland and the chicken tikka masala was pretty much watered down soup with a few (2-3) chunks of chicken in it served with no rice and Naan that was allegedly buttered but was much more like a large cracker. This was a huge let down for our office s luncheon. i would not recommend this restaurant for anyone.

I went back after a year , ordered Dhaga kabab. They did exactly what they did last year and thats the reason I dont go to that place anymore but I gave another chance. After I ordered the Punjabi owner came out and looked at me since I look Spanish and he gave me a sheesh kabab with threads wrapped around like I wont know. After reading a lot of good reviews about this place, I wanted to give it a try. Ordered dhagay walay kabab and haleem. Never in my life have I seen Haleem like this. NO GARNISHING AT ALL. No onions, ginger, cilantro, green chilies, or lemon. Who sells Haleem like this? With kabab, theres no chutney or raita. These are essentials for bbq items. How will you eat dry kabab. It doesnt look appealing at all. I mean charge some extra and add these things. My first and last time ordering here.

Visited this place on Jan 15 2023, for Lunch. Ordered Goat Paya, it came with a butter Naan. I literally have no words to explain how good it was. Perfect blend of spices and cooked to its perfection. Waitress was nice and kind to check Mutiple times if I need anything else. Its a 5/5 star experience for the taste. Ambience was okay, but it rules out over food taste.

Our most favorite restaurant in Dallas. We have been eating here for 16 years now. We moved 40 minutes away from Irving. We still come back to eat here very often. They have excellent service. The food is prepared with love and care. No Shan masala. The taste is very authentic and consistent. Food served piping hot. The owner is very nice and welcoming. The price is quite reasonable compared to similar places. We haven t had such good quality of food in any other similarly priced restaurants. We recommend this place very highly.

Dera Grill is the cleanest Pakistani restaurant in the area. The kabob and curries are all delicious but I was there for the traditional breakfast of Halwa Puri and it was amazing. The taste was perfect to Lahori style Channa and Halwa. The puris are made fresh to order so they hit the spot. A really great dine in experience at this restaurant after a while.

We walked in on Sunday around 1pm, there was no buffet so we asked to see the menu, the lady looked at us like she was very bothered by our request and said give me a moment with a disturbed face. We waited for few minutes to watch her not having any interest on our business so we left. There was 2 other guys stood there but didnt say a word. Google should have an option to rate 0 star.

We got Haleem takeaway from Dera Grill while dining at Krispy Krunchy. They responsibly brought it to us. Haleem was good and I enjoyed it later with the Naan and condiments given with it. My cousin enjoyed her Chicken Karara from here. Id like to try some more items from the menu.

had dinner with my family, place looks so different now, looks way better and clean. We love their Grill Platter, trust me out of the world. If you are BBQ lover then just go there, you will love it. Tandori naan with butter was so good. Unfortunately, we didnt get chance to take pictures, when we got the food, we forgot everything and just ate it, had super yummy platter, love it. Delicious food, enjoyed the authentic south central asian food, the restaurant is a cool place with great food options. The employees are very professional and serve the food in a decent time with smile. I enjoyed the Goat karai and goat chops. Very spicy but tasty!!!!!! Make sure to ask for the karai and tell them make it less spicy as it will be very hot and spicy if you do not tell. Good place to visit and the food taste good. This restaurant is a failing business in the making. They did not have any biryanis which is probably the most commonly favorite item in any Pakistani restaurant. They did not even have sodas just Diet Coke. What kind of a restaurant only has one soda option??!! That s terrible for business. There burgers were not real burgers. Instead of a beef patty they put chapli kabab instead. That is definitely NOT a cheeseburger. I decided I wanted another burger but they ran out of burgers too (unbelievable) one of my family members wanted the carrot halwa yesterday and it took them such a long time to make it. They told us three minutes meanwhile it s been ten minutes still no carrot halwa. (It does not take that long to make either). We didn t feel like waiting any longer for that so we just ate whatever we had and left. This restaurant totally ruined our dining experience yesterday. Do not eat from here. They don t even bother restocking their supplies. Very bad and shameful for a restaurant business.

Came to eat Halwa Puri on a Sunday at 12 am, they open the shop at 11:30. We walked in. There was one man sitting with the lights closed. We asked him when they will start serving. Highly disappointing food and management. I went for buffet Iftar on May 5. They had no drinking water, only Ruh avjah and every body did not get it. After asking 4 times gave a jug of tap-water. I just took a little amount of food to break my fasting then said my prayer. After finishing prayer, there was no chicken kabab, not a single piece of meat in biryani. They placed very little amount of foods for about 60 people and they could not refill the food items. It was an embarrassing situation for me with my guests. Coming out from the restaurant, I had to go to buy Pizza.

Was totally shocked at this place in a good way, unassuming, not at all salubrious and unless you knew to come here, you probably wouldnt bother, but that would be a terrible shame! After being assured by a Pakistani friend this place was legit, I decided to come and try it out and was impressed by the quality of the food. Best Tikka Masala AND kebab Ive had in Texas, and that is saying something as Im always on the look out for both. Add to that great prices and a cute attentive waitress and youve got the perfect recipe for a tastes-much-better-than-it-looks kinda place. But dont let appearances be deceiving, if you come here for the food you definitely wont be disappointed!

We drove a one hour drive to go to this place. We ordered the grill and chicken khari, the food was completely cold. The only thing that was fresh was the naan. The taste of the food is good. I am not complaining about that. But horrible customer service. The way they treat their customers are awful. I went to my nephews birthday and the banquet halls floor was super slippery. One kid almost had an accident which could lead to a serious concussion. Also, the heating system was not working at all in very cold evening. After requesting several times they came but left without fixing that. All my family got sick on the following day.

Last Sunday I arranged my sons birthday in their banquet. Previously I have done 4 get togethers there (under old management), every time in their restaurant. Everything was perfect, from food to management and specially the staff courtesy. This time, I again chose to do my party at Dera Grill despite all the other better options available to me. But I am sad to mention that it was the worst experience for me with their new management. The quality they give me for every single thing was not up to the mark for the price they charged me. The biggest issue of their banquet was that there heating system was not working. When I inquired, the manager lady on the party night, she said that I dont know about it and it is cold outside thats why it is getting cold inside. How you dont know about it, at the time of booking and deposit you should have informed me that heating is not working. You are offering the banquet for the customers party and you dont have your HVAC mentained.The temperature at that night was in above 50s but it was much much cooler inside. All of my guests complained about it. And I was so embarassed. They brought 2 heaters to warm up the place but those were of no use. Totally disappointed.

Horrible service. The waiter she is very rude and doesn t know how to greet her customers with comfort. Horrible, horrible manager when I was asked for a refund. No refund policy, and no menu as you walk in straight ahead. Prices are fake on the menu and charged differently as youre ready to pay. The tables aren t clean, and the ceilings are all broken. Wouldn t recommend to go on a special event or general. Went 2 times, and both times lamb and beef wasn t available in any dish..

Horrible place. DONT GO IF U CHANGE YOUR MIND ON A PRICE. The food tastes horrible and the staff is soooo rude. I asked for a refund and she told me she cant gimme one. The staff lied and charged me soooo much. Dont go. Its such a disgusting place!!!

Excellent place!! We did our Eid gathering in their banquet hall and we all had a good time. Food was delicious. The owner himself attended to us and made sure all our guests are comfortable. The owners wife had decorated the hall very beautifully. The price was very reasonable. I highly recommend this place and we are going to have all our gatherings in their banquet hall

Excellent fresh buffet at lunch. The chicken is the best chicken I ve ever eaten in my life. The rice pudding at the end is the cherry on top. Very clean, affordable, and delicious. Keep up the great food!

I came here the first time and all the food made my tongue so happy! We had dal and chicken karai. I love how both of them have unique flavors especially the karai! The naan was so good and buttery! Then after we got to have keer and that s how my diet kinda messed up but it was worth it! It tasted like all the best flavors you could think of mixed together! I really think people should come to this restaurant and try as many dishes as you want!

BBQ items (specially chicken karara) and Nihari are two items we normally go for and they are good along with goat karahi. If you stick with these, you should be fine. These items taste like pakistani cuisine. Biriani is not their thing IMO :) Weekend buffets are also good with halwa poori and Nihari(which they dont include on week day buffet). Weekday prices are very reasonable i.e. 7.99 and weekend are a few $ extra.
