We stayed two night for nearby concerts. Rooms were clean, dark, and more importantly, quiet. And, they drove us to Toyota Music Factory so we didn t have to pay for parking. We appreciated that.

Two steps into the lobby, it felt unsafe and unclean. Front desk was neither nice nor not nice. The exterior looks dirty and really felt unsafe. Me and my daughter were staying overnight for an event, but we will never stay at this location again. The bathroom walls were dirty and some of the walls in room looked like they have never been wiped down. Dirty. Beds were comfortable but had doubts on cleanliness. Good location if you are there for the airport. Rooms: Bathroom walls were dirty and dingy. Room walls need to be cleaned. Very dingy . Beds were comfy but had doubts on cleanliness. Been an ihg member way too long for a hotel stay like thus. Sorry just truthful. Safety: Did not feel safe here. Dingy and old feeling. Exterior was dirty and felt very unsafe.

Ugh. The thing I hate about traveling with a service animal is that people act like its some untrained heathen animal. They put you furthest away (thanks, my disability needed that 2 mile trek), and in the stinkiest damn room they can. Every. Hotel. The staff here is very accommodating, and the manager was open to listening. The location was good, but the carpet really needs to go or an overhaul might help. Noteworthy details: Beds and pillows were EXCELLENT.

This hotel is a complete scam! They advertise Airport Parking but dont offer a shuttle. You have to park there and then spend another 30 to $40 each way to get to and from the airport. After this bad with parking, I cant imagine how bad it would be to stay there!

The staff are great. They are helpful, friendly and care about your stay. With that being said the rooms need serious love and upgrades. The first room smelled of urine and mildew. I asked for a different room and the staff upgraded me to a suite, which I appreciated. However, the second room smelled of smoke and mildew. Better than urine and mildew. There were stains on the couch cushions, the carpet, and some of the baseboards were coming off the wall. The bathroom toilet was stained and the shower grout was dirty. It looked like mold was growing out of it. The bathroom door needed to be replaced as well. I only stayed one night. I did appreciate that the room was somewhat quiet and I didnt hear a lot of noise from the hall or other rooms. I was given a complimentary breakfast ticket, which I appreciated. The breakfast is lacking though. You will pay $10 or $15 for it if you choose to eat there. I have stayed at Holiday Inn Express many times (I am aware Holiday Inn and Express are different) and they provide the same breakfast for free with many more options. I would recommend going out to breakfast if you stay here. The courtyard is nice and the lobby is clean and well kept. The staff is great. Hotel not so much. I wouldnt stay here again.

Nearby activities: I went to a dirty heads show on a Friday. I realized I booked the wrong date. They were quickly able to get me checked in. I wanted to thank them so much for such enjoyable stay. They had a shuttle that dropped me off at the venue. It was a easy walk back after the show. And conveniently located right behind a convenience store. Once again thank you so much. I would definitely stay here again.

All of the staff was amazing and polite. The front desk kindly upgraded me with no additional charge because I accidentally booked a room without a fridge and microwave. I have food allergies and I travel with my own food in a cooler. The room was very nice. It just honestly needed a good cleaning/dusting. I had a couple of spiders hanging out in the corner and in the shower. They werent hurting anyone so I let them be and moved the one from the shower outside on the balcony. The sheets were clean. They had extra blankets that came in handy. The bed and pillows were very nice and comfortable. They even cleaned the room while I was out for the day and gave me all new towels. I dont think Ive seen that since before COVID. They even made the bed with the extra blanket I took from the closet. The balcony was a nice addition. Its small but it was just fine. They have a bar that I did not frequent but there were a few people that looked like they were having a good time. Overall I would 100% stay again. I was traveling from the other side of the DFW to visit a friend and wanted to be closer for the weekend. I would choose this hotel for a future trip or staycation. Rooms: The room was very nice. It just honestly needed a good cleaning/dusting. I had a couple of spiders hanging out in the corner and in the shower. I wasn t expecting much for $103 that was quoted online but that quickly turned to $160 during check in. The building is not well maintained. The hallways were 80+ degrees and smelled of mold. The AC in the room kept it comfortable but was too loud to sleep through when it cycled on and off. I requested a shuttle to a nearby venue and the shuttle van smelled like it had been used to haul compost. This may just be the standard for Holiday Inn. If so, shame on me for not knowing. Management, if this is the standard, please reach out and I ll take down the review. Conf # 84690022

Id like to start by saying the hotel wasnt the problem. It was simply the Incompetent staff. It took almost 45 mins to check in & just as long to check out. (mind U my room was already pre-paid) Why did it take so long??? Exactly! Because at check in, I was asked for my credit card for Incidentals. I understand the process. This was not my 1st time so Im very familiar with how this works. However, Im still trying to figure out 3 days later why my card was charged $25 for security deposit four different times. Theres also two more charges for $43.99. I still havent figured out where did the $43.99 × 2 come from??? I found out later after check out the the Receptionist Brittany lied by telling me she took my card out of the system the day of check in. Only to have two more drafts taken out after I checked out the next day. Who does that??? Well the hotel manager, Ricky B obviously lied too by telling me.....Ill get with my supervisor & get this resolved, then reached back out asap. That hasnt happened. In fact Im still trying to figure out why is there still $187.98 still in limbo for a $99 pre-paid room??? Btw, the complimentary $10 breakfast vouchers (2) & drink vouchers (2) were appreciated, but didnt make up for the wasted time & inconvenience this caused. I might consider using Holiday Inn again but definitely not this location. UPDATE: My credit card was charged for another transaction of $68.99 by Holiday Inn, just since the original review was written earlier today. (7 transactions = $256.97) All these unexplained transactions for a room that was completely paid for in advance??? Im confused....

I seldom leave bad reviews, so when I do, take note. Had to stay here after dealing with the Crowdstrike outage that delayed our flights overnight. We received a comp from our airline that was to put us up in this 3-star hotel overnight free. Tried calling them dozens of times during our delay to confirm our stay and ask about services at the hotel. No one ever answered, the line rang all night long. We finally touched down in DFW and got an Uber to the hotel. Upon check we were the only people there and told to hang on while the person at the desk did something else. Maybe five minutes later we were helped and asked for a card on file for incidentals. I turned in my flight voucher and they confirmed it was paid for. Then we proceeded to the basement level (negative floors in an elevator?) That was a bit sketch. Not to mention the giant roaches hanging out by the ice machine. Yay. Now I didnt expect a Ritz, but for a 3-star hotel, this place is in shambles. The hot water was lukewarm at best, and I tried not to think of the moldy AC, walls, and bathroom, given how little time we would have to spend here. Just one night. In the morning we checked out and turned in our keys to ensure we were fully checked out. A week later I noticed a charge for 1-night on our card that had posted! I called the hotel to dispute and was told I was wrong, that it was pending - as if I didnt know how credit card authorizations work. I told the person they were wrong, because my card had indeed posted the transaction and it was on my statement, not my pending auths. They told me their system is never wrong and I would need to take that up with my CC company. I asked to speak to the owner or someone who had access to issue a refund, since at this point the transaction had indeed posted and needed to be manually refunded by the merchant. After fighting me on it, they said they would have someone call me right back. A week later and I never heard a peep. Now I get to dispute this transaction with my credit card company and hope for the best since Holiday Inn is unwilling to assist. I recommend you AVOID this location at all costs. Heck, I will never stay at a Holiday Inn again anywhere after having such bad experience here. This sticks for the brand, and left a lasting impression for me. Hope you learn from my mistake.

I was extremely pleased with my recent stay in Irving, Texas at the Las Colinas Holiday Inn. Each customer facing staff Member was extremely courteous, polite, and interactive. After 12 hours of airline travel stress trying to get to Arlington, I was met with staff member Danielle s infectious smile at the front desk. I was greeted by name along with being recognized for being diamond elite, which is rare at many IHG properties. I was offered a snack as well bottled water. My room met all of my needs and I was pleasantly surprised with how cold and efficient the air conditioner kept the room even with it being near 100° outside. The TV and channel selection was perfect. It allowed me to find The local stations for local news while also offering premium movie channels, which I also thoroughly enjoyed! I was extremely impressed and appreciative of the hotels bar/food service . Both my breakfasts and my evening meals throughout the week met all of my dietary needs. While I don t recall the name of my bartender, I will tell you that she was absolutely amazing. Such a joy to talk to while unwinding after a long day of work. She was spot on with recommendations for the appetizers she chose for me. Not just the taste, but the serving size also aligned with the cost. She offered amazing customer service making sure you had some snack mix and something to drink until your food arrived. Lastly, the location of this hotel is in a very nice, clean, quiet area. It is conveniently located near many local amenities. It also provides simple access to all major interstate and highways taking you where are you need to go including the Dallas Fort Worth Airport. This will be the new place for me to stay when I return to our plant in Arlington Texas. while I recognize I have many hotel choices with many of them being much closer I d much rather stay here, knowing all of my expectations are met and all of my boxes are being checked. Thank you so much Las Colinas for a great stay! Nearby activities: This location is easy, no matter where you re trying to go with local amenities or nearby cities being just minutes away. Food and drinks: The breakfast serves a wide variety of dietary needs. There is certainly something for everyone to eat and drink.

I chose to stay at this Holiday Inn due to a recommendation from a physician I came into town to see. I made contact before I arrived and the customer service was fantastic. Checked in easily and the lovely lady at the front desk gave me some info on how to access wifi and told me she would be texting me to make sure everything was to my liking, and that I could also get in touch easily via text if I needed any help. The room was very nice, spacious, and perfectly clean. The wifi was easy to use. I messaged to ask a question and got a speedy reply. I liked that more than using the room phone and not knowing if I was reaching someone who could help. The bed was comfortable and I slept very well! I ll be back in the area soon and I will definitely rebook here (maybe with my swimsuit this time ).

We had a nice stay here to watch the eclipse in April 2024. While some areas of the hotel might benefit from renovation, the overall experience was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms: Rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy there, but reasonable to stay a couple of nights. Walkability: Grocery shopping is right around the corner at the 7/11 store. The more interesting parts of Las Colinas are easy to reach on foot, as are the light rail stations of the Orange DART line that leads to downtown Dallas or DFW airport. For anything else, the hotel staff can hook you up with taxi or other ride services. Food and drinks: Breakfast had a good selection of food and friendly staff. Nothing fancy there, but reasonable for a three-star hotel. Noteworthy details: Hotel and reception staff were very friendly and helpful, helping us a great deal to sort out transportation.

Room is spacious but everything else is mediocre. The hotel itself is old. You can hear other rooms pipes from your room. If you book with IHG rewards, they put you in the basement with a long hallway that is inconvenient to get to. The internet downstairs is janky. There was no mention of welcome gifts or upgrades, as IHG platinum members would normally receive. Lots of potential for improvements.

Not the best- you are charged for breakfast- which was mediocre to say the least. There was no free water available (outside of breakfast hours)- not even in the gym, which was also mediocre at its best. While a maintenance issue was quickly taken care of, it reoccured the next day - by then it was check out time. Staff was very nice- especially Ricky. To sum it up: keep the staff, make some improvements. It is close to several attractions, within walking distance- which is a plus.

Id highly suggest you dont stay at this hotel. Ive traveled a ton over the years for business and pleasure. From various countries to countless states, Ive stayed in both great and so so hotels. This was by far the worst hotel experience Ive ever had. It turns out the feeling was mutual from many of my friends that were also staying there for a convention we were at. The bathroom shelf where the hair dryer and extra toilet paper rolls are kept had powder on it. What would you think white powder on the counter is? For that reason I wasnt going to touch it. Totally not cleaned or dusted. The toilet paper on the roll had very little left so they didnt change it since the last person used it. The shower had hair on the wall which showed me that wasnt cleaned either. When I took a shower and went to dry off the first towel had what appeared to be a human waste stain on it and the next one had makeup. It looks like the towels werent cleaned and just folded up again. I went down to talk to the front desk staff who seemed like I was bothering them rather than caring about the disgusting situation. That made me think it happens often there. They agreed to take one night off my bill for the trouble. They said to stay down in the lobby and theyd get it taken care of right away. I needed to get going to the convention I was attending so after an hour I went back up to grab my stuff. There was no housekeeping staff working on my room. I sat in the lobby for an hour for nothing. It was still a mess. I went to the convention, got back hours later and found a little gift bag with a bottle of water, a little breakfast bar and chocolate kisses along with a card from the staff saying how sorry they were and that my room was now clean for me. My room was just how I left it. Nothing was clean. My bed wasnt made, the hairs were still on the shower wall, the stained towels were still there and the powered was still on the counter. I called down to the front desk and they said I had to leave my room again so they could send someone up to clean it. I wanted to get a quick nap in before I headed out for a party with friends, but couldnt because they kicked me out of my room yet again to clean. Why put a card and gift saying it was clean and they knew it wasnt? Im an easygoing person and this was the first time Ive ever complained to a hotel manger. Now Im even more upset because they didnt clean it after making me stay out of my room. I paid for a room and needed / wanted to use it. So instead of getting a much needed nap in I stay down in the lobby and then head out to the convention party. I get back a few hours later. My bed was made, I had new towels and what else did I find? Hair was still on the shower walls and the powder was still on the counter. I called the front desk again and they sent someone up along with the housekeeper to check it out. Now for the third time Im asked to leave my room and sit out in the lobby. After being asked to leave my room three times the room was finally clean. If I brought a black light with me who knows what I would have seen on the bed, floors, walls, etc. I tried to get in touch with the manager over the phone a few times, but she was always busy. The elderly man that is the front desk manager in the evenings talked with me once over the phone and was laughing as I told him what happened. Laughing at a hotel guest that had issues with their room? He said they will not do anything else for me as far as a room comp or money off and theyd be happy to cancel my remaining nights and I could stay someplace else. ??? Now Im the bad guy? I was given a free night because of the dirty towels, the white powder on the counter and the hair on the shower wall. That was one incident and then having to leave my room and deal with it two more times, Im told the best they can do to make it up to me is to have me leave and try to book someplace else? The owner really needs to get better staff at the desk there. Others at the came convention also had issues there. Dont stay here.

Update 10/11/2023: manager replied to my review. I sent an email as they asked but never got a response. TLDR: Our rooms door would not open. We had to wait more than an hour to get another room and couldnt get our bags and stuff until the next morning. We checked-in and left our bags to go to a concert. When we came back, tired from the concert and just ready to go to sleep, the key didnt work. Tried many times, visited the front desk a few times, new set of cards issued, the receptionist tried to contact maintenance, etc. After more than an hour (already pass 1 AM) the receptionist told us the only thing she can do is give us another room and maintenance would open the room for us in the morning. With no other choice we go to the other room but we dont have our clothes, chargers, laptop, so we cant shower and go to bed around 2 AM (we were planning to checkout at 7 AM). Around 7:30 AM I go to the front desk expecting everything is fixed and I can get to my room to pickup my stuff but no, again I have to wait 15 min so they call maintenance and they finally open the door with a regular key. Terrible experience. Unacceptable that a hotel doesnt have an alternative way to open a door in case of an emergency and that they dont have maintenance people during the night. I wish I could give them 0 stars.

After some time, we had to go to a different room, without our stuff, tired, worried and frustrated, we asked to talk with a manager a couple of times and were told they werent available. Never coming back here.

I was traveling for a business conference and had a problem with NYLO tapestry by Hilton. that had canceled my reservation even though I had confirmed via their app. What a mess to be left by them to figure out what to do next. I actually called the Holiday Inn Las Collinas in Irving and Cassandra was lovely in helping me secure a room with amazing customer service skills. I will say the room was great , service by all staff was a delightful , food was good and shuttle service to and back to the hotel was a delight. Again thank you Cassandra and Lloyd for the excellent customer service. I will definitely stay here again on any future trips to Dallas. I had to leave a review for the amazing staff! It started from the first call, I needed an early check in time, big ask considering I was coming there for a very large convention. They made it happen and even blocked out an amazing room while I was on the phone. Every time I spoke any staff member they were helpful, friendly and very pleasant overall. They asked how the convention was going when we came in at the end of the day. I don t say this as an exaggeration, this was hands down the best hotel experience I ve ever had!

The lobby and bar area are really nice. The room I stayed in was mediocre at best. The shower was either freezing cold or scalding hot. Then after about 2 minutes the water pressure slowed to a trickle and made it almost impossible to finish the shower. The bed was as hard as the floor and the A/C barely kept the room cool. The balcony had a nice view and it was a very peaceful place. But overall this place needs some work to be brought up to IHG standards. Everything needs work as it s falling apart. Oh and you have to pay for breakfast.

The other front desk guy was great and very helpful (overnight). In the morning the breakfast staff (cook and breakfast man) were both very kind and attentive. They checked in with us and spoke with us making sure we were satisfied with everything so that was great and they deserve to be recognized for that. The front desk people in the morning however were rude and if you stand there waiting to check out or ask them anything they dont even welcome you to the desk. I bought chips and not a word was said to me, not a price or anything. Never been to Texas before but this being my first experience wasnt great. I got a great deal to stay here at the Holiday Inn for 4 nights. The hotel is at a prime location right by the Toyota Music Factory and close to lot of corporate offices in Las Colinas. I came in at 3 AM after my flight got delayed, but was warmly checked in by Erik. He was so helpful at such an odd hour. The room was neat and clean. I really felt home out there. The best part about this hotel is all of the staff were very kind and courteous. They went out of their way to help me in many scenarios. The breakfast spread was standard fare but the taste was amazing. The lady (forgot her name) managing the breakfast is one of the kindest soul Ive met. The only blemish was that the breakfast was not included as default in your room cost.

Loved the bar area and the sitting space outside. I came for a work event and ended up sitting outside on my laptop to enjoy the fresh air. I switched my room to the first level due to carpet have a extremely musty smell. 1st floor still smelt musty but not as extreme as the previous room. I was able to tolerate for the evening after switching. I try d to spray the room with air freshener first but it didn t work, this room was on the second floor that had the major smell issue. My coworker stayed in another room on the second floor and had the same complaint of musty smells. Carpet should be switched out asap. The customer service was great and understanding when I asked for a new room!

Upon checking in, there was a bug in my shower. I wasn t overly concerned about that so I didn t mention it to the staff (it happens). I was there for business so I wasn t in my room much. After returning at the end of the day, I spotted another bug that had crawled out of where the carpet met the bathroom tile. I then noticed black spots all over my sheets and pillows. I immediately checked for bedbugs but did not see any obvious signs. Still concerned, I brought one of the pillows to the front desk to show them and request a new room. They moved me to the room directly across the hall and reported they would have someone up there to inspect. Thinking someone would be there immediately, I left the door hinge between the door to keep it propped open. The next morning, the door was still propped open - indicating no one had been there to check. For this reason, I became concerned about the overall cleanliness of this hotel and would not recommend. I would say, the breakfast was really good and the employees who manage the buffet are incredibly friendly and kind!

Please DO NOT STAY HERE!!! AVOID AT ALL COST!! We booked this hotel for one night, based on the reviews, which by the way, all those positive reviews are employees or friends reviewing their own business, because the quality of this hotel is a true hazard and a liability at this point. The booking and friendliness of the staff was no issue this time, but the hotel had a cheap look overall. We booked this hotel for one night, and two families stayed in two different rooms, both rooms were smelly, you can tell there was some water damage under the carpet because of the smell. The pillows were comfy, thats the only reason why i gave them one star, but everything else was just outdated, SMELLY and for the love of God, someone needs to shut down their POOL and redo the whole entire thing from scratch. The chlorine in the pool was just outrageous, the jacuzzi did not work at all !! i really wish i would taken pictures to be honest. Just by sitting near the jacuzzi your eyes will water from the chlorine. The floor of the pool has dirt visible from the outside, and its not smooth at all, we all came out of there with scratches and our skin felt disgusting from all the chlorine. It was truly heartbreaking since the pool was very important for our kids. My son was sick after being in the pool. Im pretty sure it was due to the conditions of the water. On top of it all, breakfast is $16 per person more!!! I walked by just to see if it was worth it, and lets just say i am glad we did not have from there. I wished at least one of the reviews from this hotel was completely honest, because it would of save me and my family from staying here. AVOID THIS PROPERTY AT ALL COSTS!!
