My seasonings were great and the flour crust was awesome but, the 6 little wings were bruised and nasty [I dont eat meat and Cousin convinced me to try this new chicken and it always fails.]. I had got me a fried catfish platter with great fried okra and okay meatless string bean. The catfish could have cooked alot longer and it was full of parasites. I trashed everything but my fried okra!!!

I received the most horrible customer service at this place. I placed a mobile order to pick up through the drive-through and they insisted I went inside to pick it up. They claim it s their policy, but I go to every other fast food restaurant with a mobile order and I can pick it up through the drive-through. don t ever come to this place they re sorry excuse for a restaurant.

On August 7, 2024, at 11:40 am, I ordered two 9-piece boxes of wicked wings without spice (plain) and a family-size of fries. Josue H. took my order. When I received my order, the wicked wings had lotto spice. I told Josue H. my order of wicked wings was wrong and that I wanted them plain, without spice. I handed my order back to Josue H. A few minutes later, he gave me a new order of wings. I checked it and saw the wicked wings still had spice on them. They fixed it on the third try. When I bit into the wicked wings, the chicken was very salty. I only eat 4 pieces and throw out the rest. I have never gotten a batch of salty wicked wings from this location (Golden Chick 1267, 2520 North Story Road, Irving, Texas, 7562). I don t know if new people are working at this location or if they deliberately made the wicked wings extra salty because they messed up my order twice and had to make me a new batch of chicken.

A mid America town family pizzaria that was very busy on a Friday night. Local flavors and flair was very evident across the menu. I had a small bacon and pineapple thin crust pizza. It was tasty. Staff was very attentive and prices were reasonable. Would recommend this to any body for a meal.

*** Warning: if the drive thru line is long your order WILL be messed up*** I hate having to rate so low because I love golden chick and this is the only location near me. But everytime, I order something is wrong. Usually its something small like not getting the extra sauce I paid for, or not getting the roll with the tender combo. Normally, I dont mind it because this location gets busy in the drive thru and the workers are doing their best. But I just ordered from here after getting off work and my order was all wrong. I ordered 8 tenders and only got 6. I asked for half spicy and half regular but all the tenders are spicy. Even worse the roll wasnt even fully cooked! It was doughy in the middle and too flat to be considered a roll. I paid 18 dollars for this meal and I feel like I got ripped off. This is just the straw the broke the camels back for me. I see the reviews here say that its better to pick up so I guess Ill try that from now on so I can check my food before I drive back home.

This location shared a building with Schlotzsky s so there s something for everyone in one stop! Golden Chick is one of my favorite chicken places to eat, but we don t have one near home. Ouch, we ate here about a month or two ago at another location and it was delicious. This time around not so much. I guess all I can say is that Golden Chick is hit and miss. Depending on the staff and time you can get anything from fresh, hot and mouth watering food to cold, nasty tasting rude service. I m out on this location but will give them one more try before I completely disown this franchise. Super crispy. I would compare it to KFC extra crispy times 2. The batter/breading (texture) was amazing. Corn nuggets are like a spoon of cream corn breaded then deep fried. The strips were also good, same breading. Sauce options were small. I think they have sweet baby rays bbq though, so thats all you need. Overall a great experience, however there was a spice or something-maybe the marinade? - that made the taste of all the chicken breading seem off. Almost bitter? Maybe it was slightly burnt? Not sure what the issue was... but I would try it again for sure!!
