stopped by this place randomly with my boyfriend for some coffee & this place outdid our expectations. i mean just LOOK at how gorgeous this food is. the strawberries were fresh and the strawberry jam was DELICIOUS. way better than ihop and for cheaper prices. our server was great (i didn t get her name but she had a slick back dark brown bun and gold hoop earrings) she was super nice. definitely will be returning <3

The food is always good there. I just dont like the atmosphere. I see they are very welcoming to the Caucasians and not so welcoming to us Hispanics. I wish I could say I feel comfortable, but i dont, and that is my honest opinion. But the food is always good.

This coffee shop caters to seniors and is reasonably priced. My mother likes the meatloaf and loves the pies. They have good coffee, and the service is solid. We usually spend at least an hour or more eating and chatting. We never feel pressured or uncomfortable. Its my aging moms favorite place to eat out.

Just visiting Dallas and stopped here in Irving. The food was great, we ordered the Big Bird and we received the food so quickly! The waiter and the manager were so attentive to our needs and checked on us quite frequently. The manager was bussing tables as well. So it shows they re very responsive and aware. I highly recommend this place for breakfast. The pancakes are huge and the food is very good.

I have had bad luck with their sirloin before, couldnt chew it so I thought I would try their New York Strip. Could not even cut it with a knife. I returned it. The manager gave me bad attitude stating the same as she did before that other people dont have a problem with their steaks and I should stop ordering it if I did not like it. Who says things like that. Also I replaced it with the chicken and it was rubbery and dry. I still left a good tip for the waitress. It wasnt her fault they serve bad food.

Sooo, been coming here for 3 years even ALL through Covid. Stumbled in with a group after a very long night of fun, been addicted since! THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE IN TX WITH CONSISTENT FOOD AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. Tammy keeps this place a hidden Gem & now my family only go as a treat. My kids faces light up every time we hit the lot. Variety of the best pies, breakfast is the best EVER, lunch portions are perfect & extremely affordable. Best part, this family have stuck together for this amazing diner. I even see the original owner (mom) from time to time.

The thing that struck me most was the friendliness of all the staff, and the casual yet caring way they greater the obvious regulars. The atmosphere was homey and unpretentious, my server was friendly and attentive, and the food, while nothing out of the ordinary, was filling and plentiful. Joe s is the iconic coffee shop/diner with a small town atmosphere in the not-so-small City of Irving. I enjoy bringing my grandson and daughter every Saturday for lunch. It s our tradition. Tammy, the owner, always makes a point to give him a hug and a smile. The waitresses are friendly and helpful. And, that s true for all the other days I pop in for breakfast or lunch.

Just started working in Irving, right up the street from Joes, and decided to have a business meeting here. The host greeted me immediately and found me a comfortable place to sit while I waited for my business partner. The server was super attentive but not pushy or overbearing -- kinda perfect, actually. Got great coffee -- nothing fancy, but better than ihop! -- and the server kept us topped off. Wasnt interested in getting food, but the server briefly mentioned the BOGO special on pie slices and we couldnt resist. I had a slice of cherry pie and it was great! Atmosphere is charming in a small town cafe sort of way and was a great place to have our informal meeting. My only criticism was how bright it was inside, but it was early afternoon, and that might just be a me thing.
