We love Chuys. The food is great! The server we had at the recent visit was fabulous. We were finishing our meal around closing time, but he didnt rush us at all. He also helped box our food and got us to go drinks. I like the atmosphere. The only disappointment was that they werent allowing outdoor seating while we were there.

So we are going to stop making Chuys our usual on Friday nights. These guys are overwhelmed and dont work well under pressure recently. It just became a problem the past few times but now its consistent. Wait times for food that we ordered over an hour and a half in advance. The food being incorrect and seemingly forgotten about so its cold and sometimes just the wrong order completely! Definitely a bummer, to have a good experience turn poor.

Was happy chile rellenos are back for a bit so went in for them. Waited an extremely long time and they finally arrived but were very overcooked (DARK brown on outside). Asked for a manager and DANNY came out. He looked very frazzled and curtly asked what was wrong, I pointed out my plate and he basically said: were getting used to them again, so are having some issues. Is there anything else? Not a smile or a sorry but very much a kiss my grits kinda attitude. If the manager has that - well, that explains alot!

We went on a Sunday evening and they were out of everything. They had no ground beef for tacos or enchiladas. They had no straws for drinks. Then we were informed that they have no rice. How can you run a Mexican food restaurant and not have the simple things such as rice and shredded beef? And to top it all off we had waited over 20 minutes for chips and Caso that never showed up before we left. I will never go back to this location.

Growing up in Houston, I know what Mexican food is supposed to taste like. This is kind of a Tex Mex place but the food is just okay. The salsa is nothing special but you can get the green stuff as long as you can handle a lot of heat. This place used to have a creamy jalapeno ranch that was worth the trip. Foods gone down in quality though.

Since the start our host, a guy, he sat us down in a dirty table. He knew it was dirty since he brushed some left over chips froms the table with the menus he was going to give us while we sat down. Immediately noticed, and new I was going to have a bad experience. There was salsa chips underneath the table as well. The food was not great. I ordered a burrito, with sauce on top of it, which basicly is a chimichanga. No reason to call it a burrito. The only good thing about the experience was our server. Very attentive. Very nice. First and last time at this restaurant.

The waitress was so happy and nice it really added to the amazing tasting food! Normally I never go crazy for tex mex or even think much about it. This place made me think that foe the first time if tex mex deserved to be a category of food on its own this place would defined represent it!!! I will definitely recommend this place, I had the fajita beef burrito, my date had the comida deluxe and it had a little bit of everything. Everything was so good even the chips and dip you get at the beginning were impressive! Their flautas are great lightly fried. Since they took Elvis fried chicken? They said because you have to handle the potatoe chips but one of the help said if you bring your own chips, depending on whos cooking that day, you can still get it. And you have to handle all foods anyway. Just bring the Elvis Presley chicken already!! Only the 5 because of the staffs honestly. The food is always good, but when you have the anchoring for something and you have the chicken, you got the boom boom sauce, you serve chips, tortilla but not potato chips. Changed my mind your a 4 star .

I brought my son here and now its his favorite restaurant of all time. We came in on a Friday afternoon and were seated immediately. The service was excellent everyone was SO polite & friendly and the food was just delicious! I cant remember my waitresss name but she was a delight. I ordered the Burrito Bowl and my son ordered Chicken Fajita Quesadillas. The chips, dip and salsa was super fresh and we couldnt stop eating it! Also, I am not exaggerating when I say my shirley temple was probably the best one Ive ever had in my life. I even bought a really awesum shirt because I saw it on a waiter and needed it! Love the food and service. We ate in the bar area and the bartender was incredibly efficient and helpful. However, we asked if the TV volume could be turned down - he said it couldnt be. With the loud talking no one was trying to follow what was on the TV anyway. Also, it was FREEZING in there! We will return, but may not eat in the bar.

Small on the inside it felt as if we were on top of each other. I had to ask the hostess to find another table because there was a party of 10 or more at the table next to where we were about to be seated. This was a first time experience for us and I will not be returning. The server was great but the food was small portions and they dont offer a variety of sides. I wanted churro beans they only have refried, I wanted skillet potatoes they only offer Spanish rice. I was very disappointed. We only went to this place because my mil got us a gift card. She could have kept it.

Family of 12 and we sat down at 8:00PM. Didn t get our food until 9:47PM. Absolutely ridiculous. Ppl around us that came after us were getting their food before us. When I spoke with the manager a short Hispanic lady, she stated they had a 31 top and a 20 top they had to tend too. Like that was an excuse. Mind you, I didn t see all those ppl she claim was here when we walked in. It was pretty empty inside and outside. When we got out food, the meat was overcooked on the nachos and burritos.

The service & atmosphere wss great. The food, not so much. The house salsa was far too spicy, so much so that I couldnt enjoy it. And they dont offer a milder version. They only had refried beans, I like black or churro. I tried a new dish with shrimp & real crab meat. The cheese sauce was good, but the inside was bland. No seasoning. I took it home & seasoned it myself. There was also something on the plate that was too spicy, again making it hard to enjoy.

You can tell the people preparing the food at this place dont have the passion for it. The salsa and trimmings are not cut up very good. The salsa will have big chunks of tomatoes and other ingredients. You can tell them you want something a particular way and they will bring it to you wrong. Chicken fajitas were cooked just enough, like as soon as the last pigment of pink disappeared they pulled it off the grill. The happy hour prices are ridiculous, margaritas were the best thing there but at those happy hour prices, I will be looking elsewhere next time I want a drink.

The food is always amazing and CHUYS usually has a place where you can see their homemade flour tortillas being made. Bring a small framed picture of your dog so they can hang it up as part of their collection.

Chuys is wonderful! Their service is incredible. One of the best I receive on a consistent basis from any of the restaurants in the area. My order is usually ready and waiting for me when I arrive. If its not, it wont be long and I can watch the baseball or football game on the TV to kill a time and keep up on the things I like to keep up on Ive had really great interactions with the staff as well, but I dont typically see anybody except the host as Im always picking up. I see this one in particular the majority of the time who is very friendly and polite. This is one of the few people I know by name in this area. (I wont put it out there, though.) Something about that makes the whole ordeal even more rememberable. Shes been doing that there for, at least, the same three and a half years that Ive been doing what I do which is what drives me to go to these places. That is saying something, as well, because from my experience the turnover rate of the employees at the restaurants around here is extremely high compared to what Im used to in my little rural town in the middle of a cornfield in Illinois. I have never eaten the food at Chuys before but Im sure its just as wonderful as the other aspects of the business! (Except Im not a huge fan of Mexican food.)

Dinner party of 15. Manager told us wed have a dedicated server but she had to service 4-5 other tables. Food was good, just took longer than expected between order and arrival at table. Server was great, just overloaded.

Always love Chuys food, but I was surprised by the fajita nachos that were delivered as a tostada (fried tortilla with nacho topping - not cut). Couldnt eat them until I got home three hours later.
