Nice place, pretty calm and the food was great. We ordered the bento and Cajun roll. Excellent food. Sundays is happy hour all day for sushi rolls. Sake bombs are great the staff is also amazing. One of our favorite places.

Rising Sun are always welcoming & the vibe was good; hardly ever crowded. Weve gone on weekdays & weekends, & sometimes in time for happy hour. Weve ordered the sushi boat for two that came with miso soup. My son has ordered the Katsu chicken Bento box, an excellent recommendation from the waitress. I had the Sapporo beer, which compliments my meals perfectly. Ive also had the Thai Seafood curry, udon mix soup, wife had had the Poke bowl, with a Salmon Fruity, Atlantic Maki cut roll, along with a Kiren Light beers. We always have a nice time agency we go. Parking: Most of the parking in front of the restaurant is usually full, so you may have to ask a bit, but its not bad.

The service was spectacular and the speed was great. I took my husband there for his birthday but it wasnt as great as I had hoped. Most of the happy hour sushi were small simple rolls. The kids Chicken nuggets and fries were unseasoned and tasteless. The soft shell crab seems as though it was fried in old grease. I did enjoy the teriyaki shrimp bento box and the tempura banana and strawberry ice cream was delicious. My daughter almost hurt herself eating tempura Oreos. The Choco shake had no milk in it. I wasnt blended well there were small chunks of ice in the flavorless drink. The presentation was amazing but did not have flavor. The manager was happy to help us replace the items we were unhappy with other options. Oh, they brought out a birthday dessert and sang Happy birthday with us, that was nice. We enjoyed the experience but wont be returning.

Im not sure how others could have rated this restaurant better. My experience was different.Yeah the food was hot and expensive.My family ordered 3 orders of teriki beef,steak and chicken.The meat waa on top looked like it was boiled and maybe even rinsed with water.It had no flavor or any coating of teriki.Whole family said it was horrible and threw it away.Notified staff did not reimburse me at all.Will not be back.

Walked into the establishment 2/9 to be ignored by the greeter cause he was on the phone. So we went sit at the bar to again be ignored by the bartender who was in a full conversation with a customer and didn t care to help us. Once we got his attention he straight up acted like we was disturbing him. Never have I ever experienced such bad service at this place and I was highly disappointed!!

One of the best sushi rolls my husband and I have ever tasted. We were very satisfied. Thanks to Mr Vicente at the sushi bar we were able to try different sauces with our sushi. We ve been coming here for around 2 years and recently have noticed a remarkable decline in to go service. Food not ready on time (15-20 minutes late), up charge on a $114 order when I asked for a side of spicy mayo, and no one even caring enough to apologize for the delay. There are other options nearby and we won t be coming back for dining in or carry out.

Stopped in after leaving the Bush airport. Im glad I did. At our table we had a chicken bento box and a steak bento box along with scallop skewers as an appetizer. The food took a while to arrive but when it did, everything was delicious. The bacon wrapped scallop skewers were amazing. The chicken was excellent. The steak was cooked perfectly. The soup and salad that was served with the bento boxes were also great. The only thing that I found a little off is that they serve the potstickers already in the dipping sauce which tends to make them a little soggy. Other than that, they were also delicious. The hot sake was good too. Service was polite and courteous. Overall, a very nice dinner experience.

Their stuffed jalepenos are really good. They are basically shushi in a jalepeno, which is great for avoiding carbs. We ordered a few shushi rolls and the jalapenos. Everything was delicious. The rolls were each $15 and the 6 jalapeno poppers were $9. It cost a little more than some sushi but the quality was high. Parking: It is in a big shopping center, so there is a lot of parking around, but they are popular, so all of the spots right near the restaurant were taken.

First couple of customers in. They had just finished cleaning the entire place. Nice. I ordered the shrimp tempura bento box. Came with miso soup or salad, I had both (2.99 upcharge). Both the soup and salad were really good. Not skimpy at all. I received my bento box. The dipping sauce for the tempura veggies was flavorless . But everything else was fresh. The sushi pieces were a little small but good. The tempura shrimp were good, as well as the fried rice. Lots of veggies in the rice. The server Jessie was great. She obliged me by finding the college football game on the TV. She made small talk and refilled my tea frequently (A+). Overall a great experience. Will definitely come back. Horrible Customer Service by the bartenders. Mainly Thomas the young man doesnt need to be dealing with customers. First charged me for food I didnt order. I asked him to take that back I didnt order that. Then I asked why did he charge me for a Double on my cocktail 18 bucks hes said because I poured you a Double. Lol I didnt ask for a Double and the drink definitely taste like a regular cocktail in a small cocktail glass. Then he went off Lol raising his voice making a scene yelling Ill show you next time when I pour you a drink what a single taste like. NO YOU WILL NOT SIR! Ill be hosting my clients else where. The food is always good but these bartenders are Rude!! They spend more time arguing with each other and with the customers rather than getting our Orders correct. The Sushi is always superb, and the service is almost always great as well. Ive never had a single complaint until this last time that we went, but this bears mentioning. On friday, 10/27/22 I maxed out my allowable overtime before lunch, and my fiance and decide to go in because it probably wouldnt be crowded. Surely enough, the restaurant was at about 10% capacity with plenty of space. In spite of this, our seater, a young man with tattoos and an IDGAF look on his face decided to seat us right next to a couple with a baby that was actively shrieking so loud as to be painful to the ears as we walked up. We winced through the entire meal until the child noticed me, and I was able to make silly faces and get him to laugh instead of crying. I dont know if it was a management level decision to seat everyone in the same area, or if it was a personal affront from this young man, but legitimate pain in our ears destroyed the experience, and Id appreciate whatever change is necessary to not have that happen again. Regardless of all of that, Ive had enough great experiences there that I wouldnt hesitate to recommend it fully.

Dinner was good, could have been better. Service was okay. Takes a while to get drinks refilled. Soda, lemonade was not good. Tasted weird. Atmosphere was nice and others seemed to be order a lot. Kids sushi meals were not good tasting. Kids Tempura was excellent. Some of the prices were kind of not worth the sushi roll, but what can you do. The bar was not good at making our drinks. They need some training. 4 stars for now ..May consider lunch here if we are ever back in town.

Rising Sun Sushi was a surprise to me. Ive eaten sushi all over the world including Alaska and Japan and this place did a good job with all the dishes served and there were 8 of us. We definitely overshot our order. We ordered four rolls and our waitress gave us the option of placing our entire order on the adorable little boat. So cute! All 4 rolls were delicious. We had the New York Roll (starting far left) and this was probably my favorite roll. We tried the shaggy dog was probably my least favorite but only because the others were so much better. Third roll was the Cajun roll and it was a little spicy but we love crawfish so this was perfect. That was my husband s favorite. Lastly we tried the pacman roll and my only complaint about this one was it was really huge. For appetizers we had the calamari which was alright, nothing that I would get again, but the stuffed jalapeños were probably my favorite food item. So tasty! This place is right off the beltway so fairly close to us and all of the food was good. Our waitress was so sweet and friendly. She made our experience so much better. We will be back!

Visited this restaurant about two days ago for some yummy sushi for me and my daughter, and as always the food is fresh and on point! It was my first time trying this Restaurant || For one the guy who answered the phone when placing the order was so rude. I felt so uncomfortable asking him anything. Really poor service tonight. My family of 4 went for dinner and arrived before the rush. Had a fair meal, but nothing special. However then the rush started. Once we received our meal, we never spoke to our waitress again. We sat at our table for 25 minutes after eating without a visit from our waitress. Even asked 2 other servers for boxes for our leftovers......and nothing....had to get them from servers station on my own. Finally got up and asked hostess station for my check so we could leave. I like this sushi spot near my apartment, I like to go when Im in a good mood! So getting news that Id be starting a new job was a reason to go get drinks! I took a friend who had never been and our waiter Jessie honestly continuously kept killing the high energy we came in with. My friend is older than me but recently moved back to Texas so they only had the paper form of their Id although only the second page with no picture it was still a valid form of ID, Jessie said it was no good and asked for one with a photo he pulled out his military Id with a photo but it was expired Jessie said that was no good. He tried to show her a picture of his older form of ID that was not expired but was told by Jessie it could not be on a phone. After that we decided to just bite the bullet and only I would get drinks. I ordered a large sake and Moscow mule. It was a lot of Sake and I did not enjoy drinking without my friend so I poured him a cup and let him take a shot of it. Throughout the course Jessie put in the wrong order for his entrée instead of Yaki Soba being brought out the first time Jessie brought out Yaki Udon. After eating I wanted to order me some shots and thus Jessie said they would not put in my order to the bar because they saw my friend drink some of the sake I ordered. I found that rather annoying considering they denied two valid forms of ID and because I come to the restaurant sometimes Ive definitely seen a waiter thats NOT jessie serve drinks to a visibly pregnant person. Maybe we should have that waiter? To top it off I had asked for a miso soup to go but when the final ticket was brought I realized it was not on there, our leftovers were bagged and by the time we left the miso was brought. In conclusion. Jessie was a buzz kill and if/when I return and they are my server I will very much ask for a different one :)

Food was good. I got chicken teriyaki. Server was attentive and kept our drinks full. It was a little fishy smelling as we walked in but that is expected from a restaurant that serves sushi on their menu. Its something different from the usual restaurants in our area.

Service and food are all outstanding!!! The Juan special, the Cajun Salmon and the Hamachi Thai chili were melt in your mouth good, and the angry monkey was not only GORGEOUS to look at, delish too!! My boyfriend took me on a date here (yes, I chose the place. Shocking, right lol) We had a few sushi rolls and the specialty fried rice and it was absolutely SCRUMDIDDLYUMPTIOUS!! Everything was fresh, hot (if applicable) and had us wanting to eat every last grain! We cant wait to go back and try other menu items. The BEST sushi roll was the chicken tempura roll. Ive never in my life seen a restaurant offer chicken tempura sushi and now we are hooked. Kudos to the kitchen staff!

Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, very friendly and efficient. We ordered a lunch bento box which comes with a side salad, and it was delicious. The portions were very large and I had plenty to take home. There is a large variety of sushi, so I have to go back and try some.
