A hidden gem in Brownsville!! Great, delicious food. I was too hungry, and forgot to take a picture of my food, but I got the Almuerzo favorito, and it was fulfilling. The agua frescas are all natural. Tortillas de harina are made from scratch. I did not get my servers name, but she was great!! Always made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely go again.

This place is AMAZING!! Visiting from Tampa, Fl. Food was beyond delicious, we started with biscuit with butter and coffee, menudo was DELICIOUS, meat was nice and tender, tortillas de harina are HUGE! Barbacoa delicious, chiles rellenos were perfect you get a choice of cheese or meat The people here are so nice. This is our new place when ever we come back to Brownsville Tx.

Great service out of unsweetened tea and large flour tortillas but that was the day after Thanksgiving so I understand. Prices are awesome. Specials are good till closing at 2pm. Hit them up youll enjoy your food

I was shocked to find out that this place changed ownership and is no longer the 802 Cafe after so many years, but I was pleasantly surprised that the new administration provides us now with a great place to eat. Parking: Parking is a little tight, but the food and service are great

This little cafe always have tamales, excellent customer service, very friendly. They also have menudo, affordable prices, handicapped available. If you are a fan of tamales they have a big ones they called borrachos it will filled two hungry people. Visit them, you will not regret.

What was once a gem of the city is sadly limping past its prime. Hour wait time for an order coupled with tasteless meals reveal how ownership has lost touch with what made it good. The overcrowded restaurant adds to the tension and anxiety of overly long wait times for meals. All of this takes place while the owner sits at four top and uses it as his own office space. Its almost laughable, but its rather sad.

First of all its always very clean inside and out, Also the bathroom is clean. The food is delicious any time of day fresh food. The wait-staff is very attentive courteous. The Food was great the prices are good. We didn t know how big the Tacos where coming in. Boy we where surprised. The Machacdo w/ egg an fresca cheese an avocado was delicious. But the Flour Tortillas is the Big Highlight of our meal. We enjoyed what we ordered an got 5 more for the drive back home.
