Ashton Garden West Houston is an absolutely gorgeous wedding venue! I love how its hidden away, giving you the feeling of driving toward a château as you approach via a winding, scenic road. The venue includes a beautiful, bright chapel that s perfect for wedding ceremonies and photos, with plenty of natural light to highlight the couple. The way they decorate the chapel ensures that the couple shines during the ceremony. It s spacious, capable of accommodating a large number of guests, and maintains a peaceful, clean atmosphere throughout. The service is excellent, with clear direction signs to guide you, and the soft background music creates a calming ambiance as you arrive at the chapel. Right outside the chapel, there s a picturesque area with beautiful stairs, making it an ideal spot for the couple to take photos with bridesmaids, family members, and other loved ones. The cocktail area is also a relaxing and quiet space, equipped with a full bar and a good selection of teas. The reception area is especially impressive with its floor-to-ceiling windows, flooding the room with natural light. It makes the entire space perfect for taking amazing photos during the event. The service is impeccable, with each detail executed perfectly. The table arrangement allowed for great flow, making the grand entrance of the couple from upstairs a memorable moment for everyone. Parking was sufficient, and overall, the experience was fantastic. The music was well-chosen, the food was delicious, and the bride mentioned that their pricing was reasonable for what they offered. The staff was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, ensuring everything went smoothly. Overall, I highly recommend Ashton Garden West Houston. They did a wonderful job hosting this beautiful couple s wedding, and it was a great experience from start to finish. Thank you for making the day so special!

Let me begin my saying what a beautiful venue this place is. It s truly breathtaking. From the chapel to the reception area to the getting ready rooms, we loved it all. However what truly makes ashton gardens special is their undeniable hospitality and willingness to go above and beyond to make our day stress free and special. We wanted to take a moment to highlight our coordinator, Janeen. Our day would not have gone on without her. She went above and beyond and did more than she had to do just so that i could have a stress free day. She made sure everyone was where they needed to be and that everything was perfect. Thank you to the manager, Emily for her kindness and professionalism. Thank you to our planner Madison who was there during the entire planning process Thank you to the catering team-the food and service was incredible! We are so honored and lucky to have had our special day here.

Ashton Gardens West Houston is the place to select for your wedding. It holds sentimental value in that it was the last place where my mother attended a wedding when she was alive. There was no question that I wouldnt use this place because of that. Sheilah Wright is my venue wedding planner and his been nothing short of amazing. I truly believe that God placed her in my life at this very important and emotional time. I would recommend her and Ashton Gardens West Houston to anyone a million times over.

I was recently a bridesmaid in a wedding here All I can say is how amazing not only this venue is but also the staff. Sydney was our day of the wedding coordinator and she was absolutely wonderful! She was so organized and brought such a calming presence to everyone. She did an amazing job coordinating with the hair and make up artists as well as the photographers and band! Im a 2025 bride and started the wedding planning process at Ashton Gardens. This venue is gorgeous, the chapel is so beautiful with high ceilings and lots of natural lighting. The reception space is very spacious with a large dance floor, if you are touring venues check this venue out because you will love it! The planning experience has just started but Im already loving my wedding planner and how everything is organized to make this process easier! I cant wait to celebrate!

We got married at Ashton Gardens about a month ago and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. Tara was super helpful when touring and setting up our contract. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and has great spots for photos. The all inclusive nature was really helpful and took a lot of decisions off our plate. Thankfully all the vendors were so wonderful and responsive, our wedding looked just as we envisioned it. All of our guests kept commenting on how beautiful everything was and how great the food was. Our photographer and videographer were on point, they captured some great moments and were very kind. The DJ Roy Chinn also did an amazing job, there was never a dull moment on the dance floor. Last but not least, our planner Sheilah did a great job keeping us on track with everything and helping our big day run smoothly. Thanks again, it was definitely a great experience!

My experience with this venue was absolutely amazing. My fiancé and I were not high maintenance or detail oriented for our wedding. We wanted the a simple nice wedding that we did not have to put a lot of work in and this place was the perfect place! The venue itself was so beautiful, you barely have to decorate it. The vendors are all with the venue, and our amazing planner Sheilah was awesome! She gets everything prepared and deals with contacting all the vendors and putting everyone on the same page. I was so shocked the packages even included stationeries (save the dates & invites) ! I am so glad we chose to have our wedding here! When I tell people I barely did anything to plan this wedding.. I mean it. In a good way! It was such a great day. Pictures included are from my wedding! Simple and beautiful

We had our wedding on April 27th this year and it went so perfect! We got the package that included a credit for the flowers, DJ, stationary, photographer and dessert which took off soo much stress trying to find everything individually. The centerpieces we got from the florest were bigger and much more beautiful than I thought they were going to be! My beautiful bouquet though however sadly was falling apart very easily so I had to be very gentle but flowers would still fall out. Everyone involved from the coordinators (Madison, Brooke, Gianna) to DJ Omar, Courtnie from Design Haus and the desserts did great! The coordinators handled everything on the day. For the ceremony I wanted only one song for everyone to walk down and for the doors to open at a specific part of the song for me and they made it happen! Even when one of my guest broke her shoe the employees rushed to try and help her. At the end of the night we did forget a few things in the suites because we were so tired and I was able to get in touch with one of the coordinators and was able to retrieve my items the next week so I am not sure about the comments from people who say they dont respond. This place is absolutely gorgeous and I am so happy we got to have our wedding here to start our marriage and share the beautiful memories with our families. I got so many compliments on the venue from all our guest and I am so excited to see the photos! The main suggestion I would say for the venue is to be able to have earlier access to the venue before 12. The more time to get ready and relax the less stress I think I wouldve felt the day of.

We had an amazing experience from start to finish with this venue and their staff. Natalie Keating helped us with the tour and with finalizing the date / contract. Literally every question we had, the answer was yes! She was not pushy to get us to sign, and was very responsive when I text her questions. Once we chose a date and submitted the contract, some of the vendors started to reach out to collect info. We loved working with Cortnie at the Design Haus for floral. We then got assigned to Sheilah W. as our planner, and it kept getting more and more perfect, and we knew we made the right choice! Cortnie and Sheilah were both flexible with days/times for our meetings, contacted us way in advance to get those meetings scheduled, and overall just had the best personality and patience with us. Sheilah was even more amazing on the day of, and with helping guide us during the rehearsal. There were a couple of last minute changes on our wedding day, and she made sure they went off without a hitch. My husband and I were on cloud 9 for weeks after our wedding. We couldnt thank them enough. We got many compliments on the food and cake / dessert table as well. The desserts went FAST! The only compliant I had (and from others) was the DJ playing the music too loud, he mixed rap and country songs together so it was hard to two-step to, and there was about maybe 5 people under the age of 30 in the room. It was more of an older crowd, and I just wish he would have recognized that. We had multiple people ask him to turn it down a bit during cocktail and dinner, and he would keep it down for about 2 minutes and proceed to turn it back up. I was clear with him during our intro call that we are more of a country bunch, and would want to two-step dance. I guess that wasnt clear. Tristyn was our photographer, and he was so much fun and inventive. It was easy to be comfortable around him. We havent received our photos yet from editing, but we did see some after he took them and were pleased! Overall, everyone had a great time!

We were married at Ashton Gardens West on 6.12.2023. It was the most magical day. Our planner, Madison, was terrific and there every step of the way to ensure our vision was realized. We chose Ashton Gardens West because it has the stunning chapel answering our desire for a church venue and that it was onsite so our guest did not have to commute to the reception. Their packages are amazing and they continue to add items. It was so easy to select everything from the invitations to the drinks. The tastings available at all their locations not only gave my husband and I an opportunity to sample the food, but to check out other possible additions to our wedding like a live painter. They were also fun nights out among the chaos of wedding planning. Our day was perfect.

The venue is beautiful, truly- it looks great. As you see in the photos, so it is in reality. But I wasnt pleased with my overall experience. The person in charge of tours will not answer phone calls or texts after she receives payment for venue reservation. Its impossible to contact her. The wedding planner missed an appointment at one point in time (forgot to schedule it until I emailed) and I kept having to ask the same question over and over again to get a list of the costs for their packages. I found communication to be difficult at times. Perhaps it was a hectic time for her, and that was the issue. Honestly, if that was all that was the issue, I wouldnt have minded and wouldnt have given this poor review. They never let us taste test the cakes, which were AWFUL, and they never let us try the food we were having catered for our wedding. The smallest food package is $31 a person and supposedly includes steak, which is highly deceptive because they look like they were cube steaks (quite different from the steak we all think of) prepared on the stovetop, and theyre incredibly small, looking nothing like an actual steak. The food was okay when we actually got to wedding day- disappointed we couldnt have outside catering of our choice since the food was not worth the price point paid. When I went to view my three-tier cake provided by the package, I wanted to cry. I believe the florists employees messed up the top- they didnt even try to fix it. It looked so awful- the flowers arranged on it somehow messed up the top, and the buttercream was ruined at the top of cake. The cake is three tiers, but they never show you what it will look like- it was incredibly small, not the tall three layers you think of when you see cakes online. As far as flavors, I was absolutely disgusted with the taste. I make cakes on the side and wish I would have made my own. The red velvet cake has buttercream that tastes like maple syrup, and its not cream cheese frosting. The frosting was too sweet on Italian cream cake, which also does not use cream cheese frosting, and the only decent flavor was the wedding cake flavor. That was actually good. The buckeyes, mini cheesecakes, and cake pops were all 10 times better than the cake. So theres that- be sure to add that to the cake. The entrance to walk down the aisle was a bit of a disaster- I had it videoed, and it was a painful 20 seconds of waiting for the doors to open because they didnt know when I should go in. Its a very awkward video to watch. I wouldnt have known people were waiting so long had I not had a video. The venues DJ was great, but the transitions werent the best between songs, and I was told that you couldnt hear him at times. I liked his personality and voice though. I would like to mention that I was a bit mortified by the choice of necklace worn by the person attending my wedding the day it occurred. Maybe I was wrong, but it appeared they had phallic jewelry on, which was not appreciated. I could be wrong though, so this would have no bearing on the stars. What did I like? The beauty of the venue and the venues photographer. She is the best photographer Ive ever met. Im not easy to please with photos, so I was blown away by her skills. She was sweet and listened to all my concerns and remembered my preferences. LOVED HER WORK! I will say that I also like the venues coordination with the florist. The florist was PHENOMENAL to work with- so bubbly and helpful. She never tried to push anything extra on me and was thorough in listening and providing a list of expenses for me. Unfortunately, the bridal bouquet they made for me was dying within a couple of hours that day, and it was falling apart constantly because they had poked so many holes into the wet foam that there wasnt anymore space to place them in. Unsure if its normal to have flowers die that quickly, but I was a bit bummed about it. If I could do it all over again, I would pick the venue, but I would pick outside vendors of my choice for everything, except photography.

Ms. Sheila was easy to get in contact with and was available for my mother and I every step of the way for any question throughout the year of planning. The food was amazing and I m big on food. We did a tasting and all of our wishes and more were met the wedding day, especially the seafood gumbo! The venue was more than spacious for our many many guest. The location itself is absolutely beautiful. We loved getting married in the chapel with the floor to ceiling windows and the reception space had enough space to fit out 210+ guests. Having mimosas and beer the morning of was such a treat and the bridal/groom suits are perfect for getting ready. Our day of coordinators Anna and Jenine were ROCKSTARS! I gave them a listed timeline of events that I had created for the day and they took it from there. The entire wedding day ran smoothly because of them. The reason Im not giving the venue 5 stars is because of the lack of communication between the vendors and event coordinator. Our event coordinator did not communicate with the DJ, who is a contracted vendor for the venue, that we were foregoing having a DJ and instead bringing in a band who was not contracted. This resulted in a confusing phone call from the DJ who did not realize that he was not working the reception and a panicked phone call from the event coordinator the day before the wedding because we had supposedly forgotten to upload songs to the DJ to use at the wedding despite us telling her multiple times that we were bringing in a band. Amongst other things the event coordinator had forgotten, she did not prepare us before our three zoom calls leading up to the wedding with what we needed to have ready. I was frequently left with a list of questions after our calls. Would I change that we got married at Ashton Gardens West? Absolutely not! At the end of the day, I loved my wedding and the memories I made there were priceless.

I see you responded to the review but in no way tried to reach out or contact us. --------------------------- Over $7,000 for unlimited open bar and they ran out of alcohol. Is that fair? As others have warned, yes the venue is nice, but there are significant issues with management. They were responsive when money was due but after our event was over they have ignored MULTIPLE text messages, emails, & phone calls. We would have been happy to try to resolve this by other means, but be prepared to be ignored after your event is over. We upgraded to the premium bar package because our favorite liquor was listed. It cost us over $7,000. Only a third of our guests drink, but the bar still ran out of our preferred liquor. It was our wedding day and we couldnt get the drink of our choice. Additionally, their payment website is not very advanced & one of our payments went through twice (ahead of schedule). We were told not to worry about it & since we overpaid the additional would be refunded after the wedding or deducted from any vendor fees. Well we were charged the vendor fees after the wedding & no word on the over payment. Another issue we had was that during the wedding our cake cutting was not clearly announced so our guests were unaware & the cake was not served - it was placed on a back table on one side of the venue so many guests did not get cake & there was SO MUCH CAKE LEFT OVER. All paid for & thrown in the trash. We realized many of these wedding vendors/sites just try to be nice up front & get your business but they know youre not coming back any time soon so once they get your money they really dont care. Truly disappointing.

Ive passed this location over the years, always drawn my attention from the street. I was really impressed by the facility and the layout of the place. All in one event location, great size. Only one concern for night. There were about a hundred people at the wedding with one bartender. But kudos to her she did an amazing job, pumping out those orders.

Absolutely AMAZING! The venue it self is so stunning, but the people that work there make the experience so much better! They were all so nice & accommodating to anything I needed. There is someone helping you ever step of the way. My vision was to have a simple yet elegant wedding and this venue surely made that possible. I could not imagine my wedding being anywhere else! My wedding took place 3/26/23 and it was an incredible day. It started 16 months ago when we booked our date with Tamra and she made the process go seamless. From there, we had attended a few open houses to try the food we could choose from. As our wedding date grew closer we worked with Sheila who was the venues day of coordinator. She had great feedback during our final detail meetings, was quick to respond to for any question, and was great to work with the day of our event. She had cocktails ready for us while we were out taking photos and even brought our family and ourselves some hors Douvres during cocktail hour. Overall the day went smoothly and everyone seemed to have a lovely time. Food and drinks were great too. I really appreciated working with Sheila as she had a great attitude, was customer friendly, and really made the event about the bride and groom. Thank you Sheila. Jamie McDaniel

BUYER BEWARE....We had our wedding at Ashton Gardens - West Houston and we had a four (4) tier wedding cake with each tier a different flavor - and they only served a portion of the cake. After we did the ceremonial cake cutting the cake usually goes to the back and is cut and served to the guests. In this case, our coordinator had to go to the back and find someone to cut the cake. When she found a person she left the cake with them and when the cake was brought out, there was no chocolate or red velvet sections. The MOST DISAPPOINTING THING ABOUT ASHTON is their CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER THE SALE. Ive called at least 8 times and the day of coordinator (Nicole) nor the regional manager (Brittany) will return my call. The only person who has tried to help us (by relaying the messages) is Sheila. Ashton was great pre-sale...but if anything is not to your liking good luck getting them to respond after they have been paid!!

Having our wedding at Ashton Gardens West Houston was the very best! Laura did an incredible job helping plan our special day. She was always available to answer our questions, above and beyond the planning and the detail meetings. I loved having a venue that included catering, stationary, DJ services, and planning services all in one package. It made the whole process so easy. Our food was incredible and was complimented by all our guests! Even the guests who requested special dietary plates said the food was great, and appreciated the extra effort that went into providing for their needs. There were no surprises or hidden fees and the deposit was promptly refunded the next day. On top of all this, the venue was beautiful!!! Highly recommend!

I have mixed feelings about this review but wanted to give others warning. The venue itself is beautiful and fit my daughters theme perfectly. The staff was very responsive throughout the process and answered questions we had leading up to the day of the wedding. The food was amazing which I was not really expecting after a tasting at an open house but I was pleasantly surprised. We had enough guests for two bars (confirmed multiple times) and opted for the signature drinks (our package included it). On the day of the wedding, they were definitely not prepared at the bar. I dont know what happened because I never got a straight answer. I dont think they had enough staff, or did not realize that two bars were agreed upon, or both. There were only two people working the bar, and one of them did not know how to make mixed drinks. They did not batch the signature drinks as promised so when people ordered those, it was taking longer than it should. The bar line during the cocktail hour was way too long and guests were not served in a timely manner. I paid way too much for the bar package including the extended hours to have this happen. Make sure you have in the contract the number of bars for the number of guests and how many bartenders will staff the event.

This is the venue my niece got married at. The whole place was gorgeous. Nicely manicured lawn and gardens, very well appointed chapel. Sound was perfect. The string quartet played beautifully. I believe they were a part of the Cover Band group that also played for the reception. Great group of musicians. Highly recommend them too. The reception was right next door in the ballroom. Again very well appointed and decorated. Nice dance floor. For the number of people we had, there should have been 2 bars instead of one. Service people were on point. Food (steak and chicken) was very good. Serving size of the steak was too small. Everything but the meat was served buffet style. Felt greedy if I asked for more than on piece of steak. Portion appeared to be 2-3 ozs. I wish the onions in the mixed salad had been on the side. Some of us dislike onions. Overall a very upscale venue for weddings!

We had the most memorable wedding at this venue. Everything was perfect and couldnt have gone more smoothly. Keeton was wonderful to work with prior to the wedding she was very responsive to all our questions. Day of the wedding she was on top of it and very calm. I was scrambling being nervous and she had a calmness that everything was taken care of. It was such a great feeling to let go knowing that and I could enjoy our wedding day. DJ Alexander was so helpful with the song list prior too and had everyone out on the dance floor. His energy and ability to read the crowd was so good. We really enjoyed seeing everyone out there having a good time. The catering was delicious! We did not go to any tastings since the timing was so quick for us but they did not disappoint. We had plated dinner and the food was perfect temperature. They served us first and made sure we ate which is unheard of at weddings. Most Bride and Groom I hear dont get a chance to eat. Also, the bar was well stocked. We paid the extra hour and cut it off an hour before everyone left. It was the perfect amount of time. Thank you Keeton for all you did and Ashton Gardens for an over the top beautiful venue. It really was the best day we will remember forever. Cant thank you enough.

I would highly recommend getting married at this location! I know that wedding planning can traditionally be very stressful leading up to and on the day of the wedding; however, Ashton Gardens made this such a stress-free, easy-going experience. They were very communicative, detail-oriented, and attentive. Keeton, Joanna, and Jasmine were incredible! We started planning our wedding 6 months out (taking a month to choose the venue, so 5 months really), so things needed to happen really fast. Keeton was very patient and understanding as I submitted some things late. She made it work! She was also very quick to respond to questions and explained every step of the way when we were planning our wedding day. We would highly recommend Walters Wedding Estates for several reasons: 1) they were very responsive to emails leading up to the event and the staff was very kind and helpful to answer our many questions, 2) the day of, they kept our event running smoothly and the service was great, 3) the Houston West venue is absolutely gorgeous and it fit our budget nicely-- especially since we were able to customize the package to fit our needs best, and 4) the food was delicious! The venue itself is okay. The venue manager was extremely unprofessional and rude. As a vendor, she told us we had 30 minutes to get a truck full of gear outside before she was locking the door and going home then 25 minutes later shut off all the lights outside so we were loading a truck in pitch black (while she was still inside and hadnt left and refused to turn the lights back on). I will never come here again and i will forever discourage any other vendor or customer I come across to never book any services of any kind here, which is a significant amount of vendors I come in contact with regularly. There was no reason for her to be such an unbelievable c*** to people trying to do their job and she absolutely should not have the job that she does.

Ashton Gardens West was the very first wedding venue that I viewed. I fell in love with the Chapel and the fact that the banquet room had windows gave it more of an open feeling compared to most banquet halls. And who wouldn t fall in love with the gorgeous chandeliers! But boy do I regret my decision! The ultimate disrespect was Brittney doing the moment of silence in memory of my recently deceased father before I even entered the Chapel despite it clearly being stated on my Order of Ceremony to be done AFTER I walked down the aisle. I was so upset with my Pastor because I thought he d forgotten. It wasn t until I viewed a video of the ceremony that I realized that Brittney did it before I entered. How much sense does that make??? And as a coordinator she should know not to walk down the aisle after the ceremony has started. On the video, Brittney walked down my rose petal layered aisle and walked up to the Pastor and whispered to him to do the moment of silence. So tacky! The second most disrespectful thing the venue did was put us out! We paid up to 10:30pm, BEFORE 10:30pm the last song was played, and the off-duty jerk of an officer began being rude and telling people they had to leave. He even shined his flashlight on people. My mother who is elderly and walks with a limp and my Aunt who is wheelchair bound were rushed also in an extremely rude manner. My Maid of Honor asked Brittney if they do this to everyone. I hope it wasn t because we were Black. I more-so think it s because they run weddings like an assembly line; like another number. No wedding was after ours. About two weeks prior to my wedding, I noticed that Scarlett s demeanor came off like she didn t want to be bothered and I was not a Bridezilla by any means. Well come to find out, she had given her two weeks notice. I wasn t surprised by this news; it explained Scarlett s lack of interest. So, after working with her for nearly a year, I was told two weeks before my wedding that the Sales Director, Brittney Smith, would now be my Day of Coordinator. Thank God I hired my own Day of Coordinator outside of the venue! Kouture Elite Planning saved my wedding day!!! The venue is very strict and used to basic cookie cutter weddings. If you want individuality and for your wedding to reflect your personality, then likely this isn t the venue for you. I had to get approval from the Operations Manager to utilize acrylic heart shaped place cards opposed to the old school paper ones. Why would something like this need approval if it s serving the same purpose? I found the venues stringent rules hard to work with. I was discouraged not to have a runner in the Chapel because it was a tripping hazard . The venue provided what they considered to be a snack. It was horrible! It was me and 3 Bridesmaids and they provided like 3 slices of cheese and a few pieces of fruit. We didn t even touch it. I was told that I couldn t use a bubble machine during our first dance because it would make the dance floor slippery. My Maid of Honor s mother owns her own bakery in Washington D.C. and I ve always known she d make our wedding cake. The venue made her jump through so many hoops to get approved as an outside vendor. Plus, I read one of the reviews and it mentioned the Bride felt the wedding was rushed . Despite me discussing upfront with both Scarlett and Brittney about I didn t want to feel rushed on my big day that s exactly what took place. The venue provided sparklers for our exit in place of the fireworks. The venue required guests to lineup in the parking lot which made for unattractive exit pictures. I was told the venue does it this way to prevent smoke from the sparklers entering the building. Ridiculous! I was so disappointed at our rehearsal. I was 15 minutes late. We ran through the rehearsal quickly and my elderly mother asked if we could run through it again and because we had reached 1-hour time limit Brittney denied us the opportunity. My outside Day of Coordinator tried to convince her, and she wouldn t accommodate us.

Got a tour, nice place overall but was shocked to see that once we discussed the prices their quote was quite different. We understand gratuity on services such as catering, bartender, etc. But gratuity on the venue is unheard of, its like an apartment complex asking you for gratuity added to the rent. We would of picked this place if it wasnt for that detail. I didnt mention it to them because it should be obvious not to charge gratuity for a venue, I have no time to argue. Thats not how I want to start our wedding planning with a venue.

We were originally supposed to have our wedding in March, but due to COVID spreading for the first time in our area, we decided to postpone to July. Then, in July, my groom was directly exposed to COVID a few days before the wedding, so we had to reschedule yet again! Ashton Gardens was very understanding of our situation and helped us with all the options available to us. We are so grateful that they worked with us to make sure we were still able to have our dream wedding. Throughout the planning process, I was paired with Reem for planning my March and eventually July wedding. She was great in helping us figure out and finalize the details. For my wedding in November, Shelby helped us execute the wedding so smoothly. She coordinated and communicated well with my vendors, so there were no hiccups. I really did not feel stressed about the big day. I truly enjoyed the experience. My guests were very pleased with the wonderful and prompt service, the food, and the beauty of the venue itself. I have a colleague who will be getting married at this venue in a few months, and I am excited to attend because I know Ashton Gardens will help pull off another excellent wedding!
