I ordered to-go. Went to pick up food. Friendly staff. I ordered a Texas T-bone steak. Medium well. Loaded baked potato and potato soup. The soup was good . The baked potato a little undercooked, but good still. The T bone steak however had an odor. Around the bone. It smelled and tasted like rotten meat. I spit it out. Tore the rest of the meat off the bone. Smelled it. Same rotten/ sour smell. I threw the whole steak in the trash. $40 for a big steak should be held to a higher standard. Sweet tea was pretty good too btw

It was such a pleasure to be back to this amazing place. Their queso fresco with brisket paired with a margarita will never disappoint you. The ribeye was perfect, delicious as always. This restaurant reminds me of one of the happiest moments of my life. Highly recommend!

Hostess promptly sat us in a section and Darren immediately started the day off with outstanding service. I was thoroughly impressed throughout the meal by Darrens consistency and curtesy. Update: dont let the owners reply make you think they care. When I emailed them as they requested....they didnt do anything. Please, please stay away from this poorly run dump and its incompetent managers and staff. I come here often and I usually enjoy coming. Today I came in around 3 pm and sat at the bar for dinner. There was someone behind the bar that was stocking. He never acknowledged me. Almost 10 minutes went by and I still hadnt been greeted. There was one other gentleman sitting at the bar that was also being ignored. Two more people came at sat at the bar and none of us were acknowledged. I got up and walked out after being ignored for over 10 minutes. I called to speak to a manager. I think his name was Adrian. He did not care not even a little bit. He didnt even pretend to care. His response was oh ok. Really????? Ok. No wonder why your staff is the way they are. If management doesnt care why would the employees. Makes sense. The good thing about being ignored is that there are two restaurants nextdoor that you can go to and actually get service. I know...wild concept to expect to be greeted and acknowledged in a restaurant. Im sad that I will never go to Saltgrass again. I used to coordinate large gatherings for happy hour there. I will gladly take my business somewhere else. Particularly to a restaurant that doesnt ignore you and doesnt have terrible managers. Please, please stay away from this place. They dont deserve your business. There are too many other good, well run restaurants in the area with decent managers and employees who care.

My first experience going to saltgrass steakhouse I got a shrimp pasta. The appetizers were super amazing. The drinks were nice and fresh. I had no complaints. We were coming into Houston from Dallas for church 08/04/2024 My husband felt like eating steak so we found this restaurant online. When we arrived. The parking and outside is very clean, they also have security patrolling the area for customer and vehicle safety. I know what a lot of people might be thinking bad neighborhood but hey give them break they cant control the crime at least they know the problem and care enough to have security. Upon walking in we felt so welcome by the host she seated Marcos and me. We were a little nervous since we dont eat steak often and we only been to grass once. JORDAN was our amazing server HE was so polite and a respectful gentleman. He helped us order and made it so easy! Jordan has outstanding customer service skills!! I cant believe how wonderful and kind he was to my husband and I. Not only that! I observe the atmosphere and the team work was a beautiful thing to witness. I noticed that all the team members helped one another, there was no arguing or conversations amongst them! Managers, yall ladies could greet too! Be Humble even though you ladies are managers. Jordan was very attentive to us and making sure everything was good! Which was more than good!! Its was perfect!! The food was soo delicious and big size portions! Take home, for sure and we was big hungry too. I thank Lord Jesus Christ for allowing us to have the meal. Im grateful for all!! May the Lord Jesus Christ mercy and blessings be upon you all. This is a great 3-4 star restaurant. The management was on point the waitress was thorough and kind but the lunch specials quality of steak was lackluster. In the great state of Texas with fresh beef readily available I expected better quality. My honey loves the fried pickles though. The kids got the chicken tenders and for our family of 6 the bill was reasonable. The quality of meat should be improved to ensure equity in the entrees. Beyond that all is well. #CloseWithTiff

My second cocktail came well after my meal. I ordered the filet Trio w/shrimp. The shrimp was perfect. Two of the filets were cooked as requested (medium rare), the other was more medium. Our waiter was attentive up through our appetizer, then surprisingly absent from the main course ( some one else delivered it) on. He was present to deliver the bill. My second drink was mistakenly delivered to another table at first. Sigh. If this place had been really busy, I might have excused a few of the snafus. However, through our dining experience there was hardly anyone there. Though I will say, the hostess sat quite a few people in our area.

I m a Landrys member. This place is going down the hill. My family brought me here to celebrate Mother s Day. My server was Jospeh. Everything was going well until my meal was brought to me. I specifically said for my meat to be cook well done. Also, I ask for loaded baked potato. I request no cheese on my baked potato. My meat was super red and baked potato was naked. No sour cream or bacon. I understand it was busy, but Joseph never came back to ask us for refills or to check up on us. We had to bother the other server for assistance. I wish I had her instead. She was on top of her game. This guy just took are ordered and disappeared only show up when I was complaining. I blame the manager for his behavior. They need to train him to be consistent on checking on your table. I always tip, but not this time. I felt like he was annoyed when I ask for him to remove my meal from the bill. I was not going to be paying for something I didn t like. I hope I do get a survey from Landrys.

We celebrated my Honeys birthday here on yesterday. A party of 17. Our waiter was Felix he was awesome. He waited on us by himself. Felix is very personable, good listener and definitely a people person. Food came out right. He gave everyone the appropriate tab at the end. Great customer service from him and the hostess staff. I got the country fried steak and seasoned fries. Skip the fries, as they are not that great. But the steak was very tender and tasty. They do go heavy on the black pepper in either the coating for the steak or the gravy and I would order the gravy on the side to better control how much Im eating, but thats personal preference. The staff is very friendly and check on you frequently while youre here. It was so good I forgot to take photos. Lol!

As Truck drivers my Husband and I get to experience restaurants all over the US. This place blew us away with the quality of food, and the Service was Impeccable!!! With customer service hard to find any more our waiter Christian & the entire crew there was exceptional. I normally do not like to sit by the kitchen but I Loved it. Watching how well the staff enjoyed working together and focused on the customers and fellow staff members. Working together with positive attitudes. The food was on point and cooked to perfection. Priding the brand, 99% of food is made from scratch is proof with every bite. Portions are perfect. We even had some to take home. Drinks the bar tender as well mixed up the most scrumptious Raspberry lemon drop and margaritas. We couldnt dare just have one. Ate at this location today. I ordered chicken fried steak.. the waiter wrote a different entree so i had to wait for my order. Then it arrives and I would not recommend their chicken fried steak, totally bad. It was chewy, small piece of meat hidden in huge not crispy breading. And waiter was hinting that my order was a ribeye and not the chicken fried steak.. Not going back to this place again.

Roger was great a server and very polite. The food was hot and came out fast. We got the range rattlers and fried mushrooms. The range rattlers were hot as inspicy to me but the fried mushrooms were delicious. The frozen crown and coke tasted like a frozen coke with a splash of crown which wasnt worth $10.30. Next was the entrees....hubby loved his steak and the chicken fried chicken was ok but the chicken was thinner than the breading but delicious. The loaded potato that was mistakenly given to me was hard. The Mac n cheese that I ordered wasnt too good. The cheese was way to thick. Now the chocolate cake was delicious as it will take me days to eat. The bread and butter is always good as I wish it was bottomless and that you get some to take with you if you do a doggy bag. Personally I wouldnt come back but cause its my husband favorite place I would probably try something different til I find something I like

Was wanting a good salad figured I could get it here. Steak was cooked just as I ordered it. Medium rare, and you gotta love the way saltgrass seasons their stakes. What separatists SSH salad from the others is the asparagus. Never can get too much, and they load it up on this salad. As much as I wanted to have the bread. I chose not to in my ongoing battle to reduce carbs. The only complaint that I have is that the manager did not come and visit me b/c of my Landrys Select Membership. It is a good touch point that I have become accustomed to when visiting SSH. Maybe next time. Parking: This area is known for not being the best part of town. However, there are security patrols driving through the parking lot constantly. Im not sure they can prevent your car from being stolen or you being robbed. But my car was there when I was done eating, and Im posting this review so you know our survived.

Always a great meal. The chix tortilla soup is yummy. All of the side dishes pair well with any meal.
