The food is great, the atmosphere is chill, kids welcome. Some gamer groups come here for their meetings. Theres nothing for kids to do, but the patio is nice. No gluten free options, and the kitchen is a little slow, so dont be in a hurry. The fish and chips are really good. I like the sweet potato fries. The ladies room had free period products. Dietary restrictions: No gluten-free options, pork on the menu, serves alcohol. Parking: Plenty of parking. Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome, no place or activities for kids.

Excellent food and a nice rotating tap of 30 (mostly local) craft beers. Highly recommend the kasseler rippchen sandwich which is thinly cut smoked pork with Munster cheese, pickles, hot mustard, and sauerkraut. So good! Also, the German potato salad is amazing.

I really want to like this place because the service is solid and the beer selection is fantastic. $18 for 6 chicken wings is absolutely criminal, though. Hopefully this place rethinks its price point for the food quality before it gets lost in its own sauce.

Watershed is the gem of our neighborhood. We were so excited for it to open and have grown with it over the past several years! We feel at home here, whether we re on the patio with our dog greeting patrons and enjoying the latest beer added, or attending their beer dinners where the staff create a unique tasting menu with perfectly paired beers. We come at least once a week and my favorites are the Brie Walnut poppyseed salad, the Rachel sandwich and all the burgers! My husband loves the schnitzel and bretzel! Service is outstanding 10/10!

A great place for german/european food, with a fantastic beer selection. The schniztel is my go-to, but their other food is also excellent. This is honestly our favorite place we like to go in the neighborhood since we moved to the area. Hopefully some great places like this also start to pop up, as right now Watershed is leading the pack.

Places like this are what I love about Houston. Had some time to kill in an unfamiliar neighborhood and I was lucky to find Watershed. The place is clean, casual and friendly. They have a great selection of craft beers, both local and from the old world. The food is German, authentic and very good.

The schnitzel and spaetzle are DELICIOUS here. Consistently good. The owner was also very accommodating also about us bringing a pup we are babysitting out onto the patio on our most recent visit. We are new to the area and delighted to discover a great local business. Update 4 years later: still delicious. I cant speak highly enough about the quality of the food here. Tried the weisswurst this evening. Packed with flavor on a crisp fresh bun. The dill spätzle is still my favorite. Its an unassuming spot, this place, but give it a shot.

The food here was EXCELLENT. If you are looking for authentic German fare, this is the place for you. Their menu is limited but fantastic. **I highly recommend you try their käsespätzle while here.** If you are a beer connoisseur, the Watershed also has an extensive beer menu to keep you busy for many visits. The only reason I dont give 5 stars is because of service. There are no serving staff, and it was not immediately clear that you have to order everything directly through the bar. The bartender was friendly when approached, but she didnt greet newcomers, visit tables, or keep track of customers otherwise.

They have wonderful local beer selection, alot of choices. They serve German type dishes and its pretty good. My second visit, seems like the waitstaff really just staff the bar area... they should be attentive to those at the table too. Thats just my last experience there but otherwise nice hidden gem and I will be going back. The beer options are fantastic and the owners own cassette tape wall backslpash is awesome! I think they should advertise more and maybe have some live music to get more customers in.

Watershed was my first introduction to authentic German food and I love it. I host pub quiz there on Tuesdays, so I ve tried lots of the delicious things on the menu, but I do have a few favorites: The Königsberger Meatballs! The lemon caper cream sauce is divine. The Kranken Burger and these caramelized onions Fish and Chips that will make Scotland take notice. and the Käsespätzle- You have to try this. They have craft beers to satisfy any craving. Whether it s a stout, a lager, a hoppy IPA (not my thing, but to each their own), local brew, cider, or a tangy delicious sour (now that s MY thing) you re hankering for, they re gonna have it. Or try something new: maybe they ll have a lambic. And, I saved the best for last: the decor. I don t know if Eric makes the posters or commissions them, but the Watershed-themed nostalgic movie poster recreations are brilliant and all the Astroworld/Astrodome references add to the Houston nostalgia! The music cassette backdrop behind the beer pulls harkens back to the youth of GenX and they re not done yet! Because next there are the concert posters from Houston venues from 10, 20, 30, 40 years ago all around! Watershed is a great place for dates, hanging with old friends, pub quiz night, board game groups, watching the game, or sitting out on the patio. Check it out, you ll like it. Check the hours before you go. They are different on the weekday and weekends. Try the Bretzel. It s Delicious! Don t forget the ice cream!

Update* Unfortunately, I have to change my rating to 3 stars. The cocktails here are not consistently well done. I live close by so I have frequented this establishment. The Reuben sandwich meat has that gray freezer burn color. Sad.. The fish and chips and chips have been good in the past. I wouldnt recommend simple classics like a lime margarita. Just order beer and a few selects from the menu. Good luck.

This is one of the best restaurants in Houston. Definitely THE best in the bellaire/myerland/Westbury area. Goulash is amazing. Sandwiches (club is my favorite) are great. Good size for the money. Pretzels are next level. Ive tried just about everything and its all 5 star. The owner is almost always there, weve come to know each other. He always greats us, checks on us, thanks us for coming. Its great. I like supporting small owner opperated businesses.

This is a pretty chill neighborhood-feel kind of bar. Lots of drafts on tap and somewhere you don t have to worry about finding a seat or getting served due to overcrowding. We ordered a salad and the greens tasted really fresh. Only thing overpowering the salad was the big and frequent chunks of red onion. They should ve been sliced thinner and/or sautéed. Also, I ordered a side of fries and it was a pretty small portion. Definitely not shareable. Other than that, everything else was pretty good.

This was my first visit to the restaurant. I like the creativity, the interesting menu options and everyone is friendly. The biggest issue, was the oil that was used, how long the food was cooked and some of their choices in preparation. We ordered the pretzel bites which ended up being a pretzel sliced into pieces and then deep fried which made them extremely greasy and not at all like the chewy soft pretzel that I was expecting. The fish and chips were very oily and the oil you could tell needed to be changed and the fish was overcooked. When I went to get some of the feel-good soda several of the flavors were out of syrup. I believe its just a matter of closer attention to detail and a more thorough change out of the oil.

I come here pretty regularly both solo and with friends to watch Astros games, which are played on multiple large flatscreens. While it is not a sports bar, Watershed s staff/owner and many patrons are fans, so if you vibe with the home team, this will likely be a good spot for you. Watershed is very kid/family friendly while simultaneously welcoming of moderate boisterousness during game time. It is a dynamic that many establishments struggle to maintain, but Watershed does so masterfully. Beer selections are out of this world, with many craft, micro-, and seasonal brews available. The food prices are high, but there is no doubt you are paying for quality; I daresay the cooks are masters of their craft and possibly one of the best kitchen crews in Houston. The food is consistently tasty, fresh and much of the ingredients are scratch made in-house. The grilled cheese and hot potato salad are like none you ve ever had before. Altogether, Watershed is a gem of the Meryer Plaza and an excellent choice for a leisurely bite, watching the Astros with your pals, or an evening out with the kids.

Im in LOVE. Was in the area and decided to stop by this place because my husband and I were both craving fish n chips...and saw a few comments about their fish n chips being really good so decided to give them a shot. I was blown away by how good their food is. The fish n chips are to die for, great flavor, seasoned perfectly...even the tarter sauce is amazing. We also tried the sausage sample...the knackwurst was a true hit. To feel a bit healthy, we slid in a spinach salad which was also quite good, very fresh, large plump mushrooms and tomatoes. This place is a gem. We loved it so much, we had 2nds of the sausage and fish n chips. Great assortment of bears on tap. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back and spread the word.

I really dont get here enough. The food is fantastic, and the beer selection is excellent. The people are very friendly. The place itself isnt a whole lot to look at it, but its enough and its fun. My schnitzel was a little tough around the edges last time, but it still was delicious.
