My wife and I always go on Wednesday to share a bucket and order the ½ price burgers to take home for the family. It has basically become a tradition until today. They charged full price for the burgers and when asked, the server said corporate had just told them today that ½ price no longer applies to to go orders. Its been nice Watsons, we really enjoyed it.

I really like Watsons atmosphere. I love the patio area. Good food with a real big selection and especially like the large selection of draft beers. That whole area is fun and though there is alot of parking it can take a minute to find a spot on weekends. Also can get busy. Live music on some weeknights and weekends.

Great outdoor atmosphere. Food was good, but had to hunt down our waitress all night. Cocktails took 20 minutes to get, and asked for bill, then found her inside sitting with friends when we searched to get it. Watched other servers come and go 5-10 times before ours would come back. Live music was great with a one man show. Service alone though may kill our chances to return.

I honestly enjoy coming to Watsons patio for a quick drink and it s even better that it s pet friendly. Today though, it was not very enjoyable. Being greeted (or not really greeted) by the cold shoulder of a blonde haired waitress (whose name I didn t get since she didn t approach our table once!) was very off putting. Had to constantly get up and order from the bar MEANWHILE SHE WAS PROVIDING SERVICE TO EVERYONE AROUND US. I manage a restaurant and understand that there might have been many factors to why she wasn t attentive, but greeting the table 8 feet away from me, then walking past me and making eye contact, and not even offering a menu is absurd. Definitely needs to be re-trained as a server. But she does not speak for the bar as a whole so I will continue to come here, but I definitely will not allow myself to be served by her.

Always enjoy the food here. Love going when they have live music on the patio. We wanted fish & chips, and I tried the chicken mac and cheese. We went in time for happy hour. $5 drinks. Sat at the bar. Bartender was nice, and funny. Fish appetizer was huge and great, fries were really good, and their tartarsauce is magical that chicken mac and cheese was surprisingly FIRE Ill be back.

We spent Saturday at watson and the people that was cooking the crawfish , shrimp, sausage, and everything else was bad. We ordered crawfish with shrimp, sausage, mushroon, corn, and potatoes that was over cooked, and crawfish wasnt a good. Crawfish wasnt cleaned properly, do not go to wattsons for crawfish ever. These cooks didnt even wear gloves.

I gave a 2 star cuz of the liquor.. keep reading why The bartender we had were very nice, no issues there. For as many drinks my table had, they should have been on the floor drunk, and we were not. So I felt like the drinks were watered down, even the shots. So stuck w beer, but watch out cuz that liquor was not hitting The food, uh its from a pub so you get what you get. I only tried the sampler. The vibe w the first DJ was great, played a lot of old school music. The 2nd guy was good and played guitar and it was nice and mellow. Stopped in to celebrate St. Patricks Day. This is a great place with three areas to experience. You can visit: The bar for pool, darts, watching various sports on the big screens, bartender watching prepare your drinks while sitting at the bar, chatting with friends in den like areas or even enjoying your favorite beverages and foods at tables. The patio is a great place when weather permits. Shade trees a covered areas abound. The dining area is a good place to gather a group. We had a few Half and Half drinks in the bar table area and they were perfect. We also had some Cornbeef and Cabbage. It wasnt so good. The small portion of corned beef was cooked perfectly, but the cabbage missing and instead there was onions with potatoes onion with and a couple slivers of carrots. Paved parking is limited, however there is a parking area accross the street.

Good food terrible server. Luckily the manager ended up taking care of my friend and I on Sunday 2/25 afternoon when we went because the one server they had scheduled couldn t handle the 5 tables on the patio by herself. Even without a bartender he was efficient with us and extremely nice even comped something off our check even though nothing was wrong with our food or drinks. The server or any staff in the restaurant didn t speak to us when we walked in even though I said hello when we entered. I asked the server for menus after 10 minutes of not being greeted and she let me know she was the only server on and was busy as she walked out eating food without washing her hands. Drops the menu off at the table without even a hello or a welcome in after 5 more minutes and bringing menus to a table that sat down after us, but once again the manager I believe his name was April? He took great care of us so I tipped well even after he gave us a discount hopefully he is the one who received the tip because she did not deserve it at all. Probably should hire servers who can handle high volume, if 5 tables is too overwhelming for you.

Its a pub so you shouldnt expect much from their food. BUT I was surprised by the variety. I had a chicken avocado burger on a brioche bun. My husbands burger came on rye. To start with the only negative: the filet for the fish and chips was more like half a filet. If I went again, I would pay the extra couple dollars to get two filets. But that being said, it was good, and my date enjoyed her chicken Mac and cheese a lot as well. Good beer selection, along with the cocktail menu, and a bartender who is happy to improvise if they happen to be out of something. Waitstaff is friendly and attentive. Vibes are extremely laid-back and welcoming. I recommend it.

Been here a dozen or so times. Couple of craft beer options but mostly mainstream beers. Full bar otherwise with average quality cocktails. Its a gritty place. Small bar area. Their patio is nice, and location is good. Service has always been iffy here but today I guess it was the manager who refused to let me take a chair from an empty table to join another table. She got an attitude telling me she already let too many people take chairs from other tables. I would have paid the server for that section but this was too complicated for them. Walked out will never go back again. There are much cleaner bars with better drinks and service elsewhere. No reason to put up with the bad service here.

Would say more a 2.5 as I prioritize food when visiting places . Here s the jist : I ve been watching Top Chef All Stars lately n really inspired by the London food scene. Picked this pub as I was expecting to get a taste of it here in Houston. Besides the atmosphere , there s zero pub going on here. The menu is all Texas bar food except one English dish: fish and chips. Fish isn t fresh, wasn t crispy at all. The chips were good n the tartar was delicious. It s all about a crispy fish though so missed the mark. If I were to revise this menu I d do English forward : 3 solid English plates , 4-6 Tex style foods, two desserts max. Currently the menu is really large n way too many burgers/sandwiches. I d like to see a joint that is going for a Pub theme to really commit to English forward food as the pub scene in London has been doing remarkable food. Same w drinks all Texas beers which is cool but bring in English ones too. I d come back for a drink n the Pub atmosphere. The bartender was cool and knowledgeable! Were certain a cadre of townies from local breweries are conspiring with this establishment to serve a curated selection of draft beer. We do tend towards fondness for the suds, so the chase is on bruv you old thing, innit bruv? Reports indicate that Bob rates a pint of Emotional Support Ale as rather worthy, good, and wet. The solid execution from BOH is obvious. No trace of two Spam Burgers or any deep-fried rings of coated onions these blokes ate every bite. Facility staff, particulary a rock-star called Sydney, confessed easily all the details plus offered samples for examination. Bruv, case closed tho bruv, innit bruv?

This place needs to get its act together. We play trivia here regularly and that is the only saving grace. The service staff often needs to be flagged down or asked for things that should be obvious, like utensils or napkins. We have been brought too many draft beers, and even charged for them on occasion. The food is OK, the cocktails are hit and miss, and not made in a consistent way. 3 of the same drinks can taste pretty different depending on the bartender. The bar itself is fine, but this place has a lot of room for growth.

It really is nice to be able to sit outside, enjoy a great burger covered in cheese while listening to live music. Yes it was a little warm but those swamp coolers helped out.

our company shut this place down for a couple hours after our field day event. WE KNOW HOW IT IS feeding over 100s of people. THE DRINKS WERE ALL THAT, and I cant remember who put me on to them pickle shots but THANK YOU

Ive been a frequent visitor to Watsons House of Ales and have had some wonderful experiences in the past, including enjoying some of the best fish and chips in the area. However, my most recent visit was deeply disappointing. The quality and presentation of the food have noticeably declined. The tortilla chips we ordered were refried in what tasted like old or rancid oil, and when we asked for a fresh batch, we were given stale chips. It was clear that the chips had been precooked and then refreshed in the fryer, resulting in an oily and unpalatable appetizer. To make matters worse, a manager or supervisor appeared after we returned our initial order but did not engage with us. This lack of communication left us feeling confused and uneasy. We had planned to stay for dinner and drinks while watching the baseball game, but due to the poor quality of the appetizer, we decided to leave and dine elsewhere. First impressions are crucial, and unfortunately, Watsons failed to deliver on this occasion. I hope this feedback is taken into consideration, as I believe Watsons has the potential to offer a much better dining experience.

Its a clean laid back english style pub...lots of beer on tap...pool tables...darts...and great competion trivia on tuesdays...nothing wrong at all with the place..

Typical bar finger food. Tasty. However the service was much lacking. Took a long time for someone to come to our table. When the waiter did come, They got our drink order wrong twice and didn t seem too happy when we mentioned it.

We sat outside on the patio - quite a warm evening in the summer, but not too bad, surprisingly. The beer, cocktails and fish and chips were all excellent. The patio is dog friendly, so next time the lab comes too - if it isnt too hot. I look forward to trying more dishes from the menu for sure.

This super cute pub is the perfect neighborhood bar with a very European feel. They host live soccer and rugby viewings and can get very crowded on those nights.
