We feel very warmed welcome by the owner and the servers. The food is totally amazing. We enjoy every bit of it. We order delicious nachos.. and fajita and Ribs which is so amazing.. plus a whole order of Ribs.. it s so tasty and coming off the bone.. this restaurant have music band every once in awhile normally it would be Thursday Friday or Saturday. They have a separate bar area on the other side for those wanted to sit on bar instead of booth. The place is family friendly too. On top of that they are very clean.. I can t express enough words how amazing this restaurant is. This place would really satisfy all your cravings for Mexican food..!!

Very nice people that own this establishment. Its appreciated having a place to sit and dine in later hours of the day even during the week. The owner was very accommodating. The wait staff was very friendly and took good care of us. The food was delicious and the margaritas were just what was needed. It was a pleasant experience.

If you are looking for a low key atmosphere with good food and drinks....look no further. The food is authentic and tasty. The frozen drinks are delicious and get you where you want to be. We drove quite a ways to find a Mexican restaurant that was our this late, and it was SO worth it!! Ive never had the seasonings they used in their enchiladas, but it was amazingly good! Their nachos were perfect, as were their sopapillas!! Yum! We will be back

I came in to get a Togo order. I stood in the front about 15 minutes waiting to place my order. No one came or said anything to me. Noted, everyone seen me come in especially the people who were already sitting down. A group of four people walked in and they hurried up and greeted them and sat them down. I don t know if it was because I was the only black person in there, not trying to call them racist but hey who knows. I just felt some type of way because I was hungry and I had a taste for some Mexican food.

Went to this restaurant on valentines for dinner we ordered some guacamole and queso and margarita cup of unsweetened tea and quesadillas. I told the waitress that spoke no English at all that the guacamole didn t taste good it had too much lime and more kind of a sauce with some tomatoes in it , the waitress took the guacamole and the waitress came quesadilla and we were about to start eating and the male manager came over yelling at me telling me the guacamole was fresh he just made it and I tried to explain he kept yelling at me I told him look why are you yelling at me he took my plate from in front of me and told me and my husband to get out in front of people when we did nothing wrong I didn t like the lime taste it was very strong maybe because he had just made it I don t know but they are rude very disrespectful . We left and never to return nor will my friends or family members ever.

I went with a group of about 10 people. They had a live band, we ordered food and drinks. Fajitas had a really good flavor, it was odd not to get a tortilla with the fajitas, but it was fine, but I never got my borracho beans in place of the refried beans that I had asked for. The chicken on the salad had a flour taste and was very thin chicken. They were so busy. Needed more servers. We had to go to the bar to get our drinks when we wanted more, but they put them on our tab, so that was OK. The band was good, they charged $10 on top of the tab for being there. The dancing area was just right. We had a great time. They have smoking in the bar area, which can come into the restaurant, I didn t like that. Bathroom was very clean. Parking: No problem parking. Kid-friendliness: There were 2 kids there. Family restaurant

I walked In Los Reyes on a Tuesday evening past midnight not knowing what to expect . I kept my meal simple and they did not disappoint food was tasty and warm . Considering the late night everyone was welcoming, greeting you with a warm smile. I can appreciate good service on any given late night and will plan on returning to do a bit more exploring through there menu.

If i could give 0 stars, I would. Food was disgusting and inedible. There were flies flying around the entire time I was there. I ordered the queso and just got melted square cheese and it was over salted. That should have been my que to leave, but I was gonna give it another chance. I ordered the chicken chimichanga which was supposed to be covered in a beef gravy and topped with cheese. Neither of those things were done. the refried beans were grainy and the rice was stale and hard. When I asked the waiter to take it off my tab and explained to him that it was not up to standard, he threw the menu down and pointed to the front where it said no refunds & proceeded to say ill get your check for you I feel like if food is DISGUSTING then there should be some compensation for guests. They know their food is inedible, thats why they dont allow refunds or exchanges. Not to mention i ordered a SIDE of sour cream and was charged $2.25 for it .

Fantastic Mex restaurant in Houston on FM1960. Theyre open 2pm to 2am every day. Awesome. They have a bar also. Food is delicious, cooks take pride in prepping. Servers are efficient and polite, that is hard to come by. Family owned and operated. They go above and beyond. Enjoy.

My friend and I went to have a late dinner and a few drinks here. We ordered the sampler platter to share, we found a hair in of the taco/flautas my friend was eating and when we let the server know she automatically said there was no way it could be their fault since all the kitchen staff was bald she apologized and said she would talk to her manager about it. We did not make a huge deal about it but the manager came to our table trying to blame us and accusing us of putting the hair in the food AFTER he pulled it all the way out of the taco. He offered no apology and tried to blame us. I used to enjoy coming here but after this I will no longer return here instead you should go down the street to La Perla de Jalisco they have way better food, salsa and customer service!

Looking for a happy hour in this area found this location. Upon entering around 5:30pm I was immediately approached and invited to site wherever. I asked my waitress if they had happy hour she was confused and spoke little English, I still place my order. She returned with my natgati and informed me that restaurant did not have a happy hour. The food was below average frozen margarita 2/5 lacked smoothness and alcohol asade taco 2/5 flavorless dry but beef was tender gordita was bland filled with boiled chicken breast dough was fresh and fluffy. I wouldnt return restaurant needs something new overall.

I never leave bad reviews, ever. But when food safety is concerned you kinda have to. I ordered two chicken tacos along with other items via Uber Eats tonight and both chicks. Tacos had RAW chicken strips inside. The queso also seemed off before we found the raw meat, so we had to stop eating all of our items. Was picking up an online order and as I entered the restaurant no one was in sight so I did call the restaurant to let someone know I was upfront. The man who answered the phone I told him politely that I was here to pick up an online order and told him I was upfront. The man thought I was saying that I was outside the restaurant he then told me in a rude way please come inside thank you and immediately hung up in my face. I called back and he let the fax machine answer. I then waited a couple of minutes and called back. When he answered I told him that I just called and he hung up in my face and I was trying to tell him that I was already inside the restaurant. Business owners need to do better on communication and professionalism. I am a business owner myself and would never speak to customers or hang up in their face the way he did to me...

We got the fajita nachos and cheese enchiladas, very basic, the nachos were burnt, the chip, the meat and the cheese, it was awful and they cost $16!? Crumbs from the bottom of the bag for chips and reheated rice come on!! For just my husband and I, we paid $75+ for lunch!!! They are NOT the Kings of Mexican food, but the Pages. This is my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant. These low reviews make NO SENSE!! My husband and I have been coming here for a little over 4 years!! We live in the woodlands now but still make the drive all the way to 1960 for this place!! The owner is super kind and sweet! They always let you sit wherever you want which I absolutely love!!! The food is absolutely amazing!! The waiters are always so kind!! They pretty much know our order by heart. What I love the most is that this place is such a hidden gem. It s NEVER packed. So anytime we wanna go eat somewhere with fast service that isn t busy Los Reyes never disappoints!!! I highly recommend this place. We will keep bringing our family here over the years!!! Should have read reviews before going. I definitely will not be going back. Queso tasted like the cheese you get on nachos at a convenience store or concession stand. My daughters quesadilla was too greasy. The chicken in my taco was bland. The cheese enchilada was subpar but still a cheese enchilada (cant really mess that up). The tamale I had one bite of was the worst Ive ever tasted. When I mentioned the tamale to our waitress she shrugged and took our plates, as though she hears it all the time.

When I opened the box with my crispy tacos. I thought I had struck gold. They were great. But when I got home and proceeded to open me and my wifes food. It was a disaster. Enchiladas literally looked microwaved. No tortillas for my beef fajita at all. Which ultimately didnt matter. Because they were so tough I couldnt chew them. Queso tasted like melted velveta cheese, seemed like it was one chemical away from becoming plastic. Salsa was one dimensional not much flavor to it. Green salsa was mildly spicy nothing to rant and rave about. The chips thin and frail we re barely salted. Very over cooked. However the margaritas were yummy and worth the price.

Ive known Rey Sr. and Jr. for 16 years and they are good people. Their restaurant has always delivered consistently good food and service. Also not many places on the Northside you can get good Mexican food and a margarita until 2am.

This place has horrible service and we will not be back. They took my order at 1:20 and we went to pick our order up at 1:40 no one was at the restaurant when we showed up mind you the restaurant does not close until 2. This unacceptable and very disappointing and we will not be back.. I do not recommend this place.

Whatever you do, do not eat this food!!!. I was craving Mexican food for at least a month went to work hungry hat doordash deliver this place and literally did not eat a bite. the only thing that was decent were the refried beans which were canned obviously the rice wasnt Spanish rice but it was at least Orange and the enchiladas taste like they used the worst grade of beef imaginable. Like flavorless taco bell

I came to Los Reyes at 11pm on a Tuesday night with one other person. We were told to sit anywhere wed like and had menus brought to us right away. The customer service was top notch, two people waited on us. The food came out pretty quick and was presented neatly. The food however, lacked in flavor. The refried beans tasted like they came out of a can and the tortilla chips fresh out of a plastic bag from the grocery store. The rice tasted a bit stale like it had been cooked in the morning and was sitting out all day. The fajita meat did taste nice though. Overall the food needs major improvement but the friendliness of the staff was great.
