Latin friend, you who suffered an accident dont even think about going to these people, my wife went to them and its been 2 years now and nothing has been resolved yet and they are going to keep more than 50 or 60 percent of what they gave her. corresponds... I honestly dont know what to do anymore, we call them almost every week and its always a different justification... I dont recommend them...

I hired this joke of a law firm 3 yrs ago. I worked for a lawn service a while ago. Because of the chemicals we used, I was diagnosed with Parkinsons. Felt good that I may get compensated for the personal damage to my life. Fast forward 2 years. I Havent heard a word from them. I started making calls. Hell, They had no clue who my attorney even was. Ill have him call you back, Hes not avaliable. Every excuse. After a couple of weeks attempting to talk to someone. I was finally told, we no longer represent you. Absolutely nothing was done on my case. They waisted over 2 years of my life. When you have Parkinsons thats a very long time. No apology, no nothing. Despicable and horribly unprofessional. So, of your in need a law firm, this should be the last place you hire. They are pathetic.

We contracted with Potts Law firm in August of 2023 to try to recover payment from our financially troubled insurance company for tornado damage to our home. We were told we would be able to recover the needed repair funds, even due to the company s status. Sometime between late November and early January, the attorney working on our claim left the law firm. We were not notified of his departure until I contacted the firm asking why he was not returning calls. On January 4, 2024 we were told that not only was he gone but the firm would be terminating our contract. Mr. Potts stated there was nothing they could do to help us because, there is no longer an insurance company to seek compensation from. Apparently that was a lie. On May 21, 2024 an attorney with their firm filed a lawsuit in court (same county I live in) on behalf of a homeowner living in the same town, insured by the same company, and suffering damage from the same tornado. The complaint filed is a very similar scenario to ours, but we were told there was no way to recover funds. I contacted the firm about two weeks ago asking for clarification on this, and no one has bothered to respond.

This firm has no say, it is not responsible for the cases, they make you sign documents with the money they will give you for your case and then say that it was a mistake and take more money from you. They are not a firm that I recommend.

Derek Potts takes exceptional care of his clients. This firm has been there for me since my accident happened. They took excellent care of my medical concerns without me having to pay out of pocket. After several attempts to short-change me, The Potts firm forced the insurance company to compensate me for months of pain and suffering, as well as the diminished value of my vehicle. Had a tile roof insured , had damage from Hurricane Hannah & have to replace it with composition shingle which is 1/2 the cost of tile. It has taken a very long time to settle ( 2 1/2 years), I still have not replaced my roof. Interest rates are now up and houses are much harder to sell. Just very dissatisfied! Still waiting to replace my roof ? ( with composition. Shingle, not tile that I had insured with State Auto. This was why I signed up with a Potts Law Firm to help me.

Called and tried to get legal advise. They denied me as a client without giving me any explanation as to why. Even though the ladies were nice it would ve been good to at least have an explanation. My father signed with their law firm for eminent domain. The attorney we signed left the company and our new attorney was Michael Bins. They never showed for one court hearings we were told it was not necessary to attend the county commissioners court. Where they decide how much the state will pay you. Then he told us to make a list of property values losses on property such as a water well, fencing, including all loss value and property value. They were supposed to send a surveyor out to identify all the losses on the property that never happened. When we called they were never available and wouldn t return our call that never happened. Always excuses for not returning call. We were on vacation, we were sick, we didn t get the message,. After years of this we finally just settled with what we could get. We also lost my grandmother s homestead old house in which the state contractors showed up and threw my grandmother s belongings out the windows. We had no notification that this was going to happen in time to get out any of her belongings. I do not recommend this law firm for anyone for eminent domain.

I havent gotten any kind of money from my claim. They dont honor thier contracts. They said they would get 20 % but now they want 90 % of they money, that would leave with, not enough money to pay the taxes. I would still have to pay 5,000 more on taxes. Im still having problems and no money, I now divorce because of it. I have moved twice and email plus texted them the new address, no response to the email or text that they got the address changes. The Potts Law Firm was who represented me for 2 of my GM CLASS-ACTION LAWSUITS. I have to admit that it was a long process, but these guys got me the money in the end. My house got damaged by the hail storm a few years ago and I was struggling to get my insurance to cover for the damage. The insurance company (liberty mutual) refused to pay for the damage. (By the way, do not ever go with liberty mutual, unless you dont want to get paid.) I spent a few years with Potts Law Firm -- yes, the struggle was real, but they finally were able to get me some money for the damage after about 2 years.
