Being forced in to a high stress situation full of doubt and anxiety Mr. Butler and his team did nothing but reassure me that I was in some of the best hands in the business despite what cards I had dealt myself, and HE delivered. He was fair on my overall assessment and never misleading. This is a long overdue post but Jim Butler is the guy you want on your side. I knew he was the one when he told me to come see him in person. Everyone else wanted to short talk over the phone. I prefer to handle my business in person and so does he. He gave me the best possible advise and how he wanted to pursue this case being it was my 2nd arrest for DWI. This would have ended my career of 22 years of dedication and thanks to his knowledge and experience I can add more years to that number. My experience with Jim Butler was stellar! Mr. Butler was extremely professional inside and out side of the court room. He really took the time to get to know you and your side of the story. Wow! Where do I even start? Mr. Jim was the most transparent, honest lawyer I ve ever dealt with and unfortunately, in my lifetime, I ve had the experience of dealing with several of them. As we all know, the governments gonna try and pin anything, and everything they can against you, because you re guilty before you re proven innocent! At one point I was willing to take a plea just did not have probation and Jim said HELL NO!! To be completely transparent, there is no alcohol in my system but somehow there was angel dust, probably from smoking a blunt with somebody down the block in the fifth ward. Regardless of the drug test, he picked a port the case, and got it dismissed! I would recommend Jim to anybody I ever talk to because of his loyalty, honor, and respect! My dad had a DWI his case got dismissed. It took several months but the lawyer told him he will try to do everything to dismiss his case and he did. His secretary, a very professional lady, was always letting us know every month about the courts date and if he needed it to be present or not. She was a very helpful person. When my dad and mom spoke to him at the first time he was professional and responsive to all the questions that my parents asked him. They were convinced that he was the lawyer that they would choose for my dad DWI. They strongly recommend him for DWI cases. Everything was 5 star (The lawyer Mr.Butler is a good lawyer, my dad hired him to defend him in a DWI case. It took several months but the lawyer withdrew the case in court. In July 2020 I was arrested for a DWI 2. There were many problems with how the cops handled the arrest. Since I was arrested during COVID my case took a year and a half to get a verdict. I had found myself in a sticky situation and needed to find an attorney quick! After speaking to many many lawyers I stumbled upon Jim! I knew he was the one from the moment we spoke! Jim was out of town with his family and took the time to call me and find out what was going on, why I needed a lawyer etc! That itself spoke volume to me! The second moment I knew he was the right choice when I met him in-person (Pre-Covid) he didn t promise me a dismissal like all the other attorneys will do, he spoke facts. No words can explain how grateful I am to know Jim Butler. He has been with me through some trying times. I had a few DWIS over 20 years ago and i received another one at 50 years old. I was in the middle of moving back to Michigan from Texas because my parents needed me and i needed to be with them also, when it happened. Jim Butler seriously is the best attorney in the world! Anyone with their first dwi I m sure was as terrified as me as I felt hopeless and would lose everything with many hardships ahead of me. I went to one attorney before Jim and basically left feeling like my life was over and I would lose everything I ve worked so hard for (this would put my career on the line.) God definitely was looking out for me when I called Jim that evening and he said come to my office and it was late with no rush during our initial meeting. Jim didn t focus so much on the details of my case in our meeting but wanted to know me as a person. He told me everything would be okay and I left his office believing this and trusted his words. When I got my DWI I google lawyers jim name come up first. I am very glad it did. I could not have ask for a better lawyer. I cannot say enough about Jim Butler. Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear suits and ties. He basically gave me my life back. Even when I thought all hope was lost Jim never stopped fighting, and eventually we won. I will never forget my experience. I would not trust anyone else to handle my case.
