Went to Lizzys for a breakfast before my fiancés baby shower. My fiancé ordered the breakfast special, and it was not a good breakfast. The sausage was very cheap, greasy, and all-over disgusting, the hashbrowns were burned, and the eggs were scarcely average. The pancakes were average (but its hard to mess up pancakes anyway). We asked if we could actually have bacon instead of sausage. The waitress obliged, and bacon was brought to the table. The bacon still had grease bubbles on it, and it was, like the other food my fiancé had ordered, below average. Then, the waitress still charged us for the bacon, despite the lack of palatability of the sausage (the flavor and texture were so bad, she could not even swallow the sausage, and both prices remained untouched.) I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit, and that was good. It was not great by any means, but it got the job done. If you come here, I didnt see anything else worth ordering other than something with biscuits. Also note: After we walked in and sat down, we decided to change seats from the cold table and chairs to a window-seat booth. That was an issue as we apparently changed waitress sections. The former waitress muttered woth a snide smirk, (person) will be your new waitress. If our former waitress was upset that we changed tables (and therefore she lost our tip since she was no longer our waitress), then she could have communicated with her team about remaining to he our waitress.

Great atmosphere with comfy booths (pretty color too). The staff is friendly and the food was good. I had 2 eggs & sausage with hashbrowns and biscuit. The biscuit was delicious...it must have come right out of the oven. My husband had the biscuits and gravey, eggs, and hashbrowns. He said his was great too. We will be back!

I ate lunch today and had the diner classic cheeseburger and fries. It was excellent! It was actually grilled and very tasty. I saw a chicken fried steak plate and it was HUGE! The service was good. It gets busy sometimes but it is worth the wait.

Three people walked in after me. I had been waiting a good 10 minutes before someone (rude) asked what Im drinking. Decaf coffee please and a glass of water. Enjoyed the coffee or at least some of until the same waitress came by my table.and without asking, poured caffeine in my decaf coffee. Not once but twice. Breakfast arrived and I must say the bacon was cooked to perfection. The eggs, hash browns, and toast were covered in grease. Absolutely worst service and greasy food. Was really hoping to find a home cooking restaurant where I could frequent at least 3 times a week. Once again disappointed. Also took a while to get the check to pay. Waitresses were to busy talking to people they knew instead of serving their customers. Oh the 3 people who came in after me? Well they were served first and eating before I even got my meal. Just awful experience!!! Never again will I eat there.

Great home town environment and Calista has been my familys waitress ever since we showed up and she is always polite and knows what we like now! UPDATE! The service is still great! Thanks for making my family feel welcomed as always. Were definitely a forever customer. P.S the BLT was fries and chocolate milk always fills me up! Yummy! Parking: You can have front row parking, they also have parallel parking on the side. If not then you have to park a tad father out. Kid-friendliness: I bring my 7month boy and I feel welcomed to do so. My son is now 2 years old and its never a problem with him there.

I was greeted warmly by the staff. I ordered biscuits with gravy and two eggs with hash browns. The biscuits and gravy were delicious. Light flaky biscuits with perfectly temperatured gravy. I wish I had asked for sausage gravy-next time because I m definitely coming back! The eggs were cooked to perfection over easy. The hash browns were nicely browned but a little under done for my liking.

The service and food was excellent. I had the Hobo Scramble with a Biscuit and a side of gravy. It was delicious! My wife had the French Toast and my daughter had a biscuit and gravy and they both truly enjoyed their meals. I would highly recommend anyone to swing through for some amazing breakfast! Husband and I arrived at about 9:00 am, to have breakfast and sat at a table immediately, there were only six other tables occupied by customers. We received our menus and the hostess took our drink order and advised the server would come by and take our food order. At about 9:25 am, after not being acknowledged by any employee or having a server take our food order, we left due to the lack of service. My husband spoke with one employee and all he said was they were busy and to have a nice day. Let s just say we will not be returning!!

Somebody forget to bring my eggs with pancakes that I ordered. So this waiter decided to charge me more for their mistakes. A waiter lady with horrible attitude and yelled at me and refuses to fix it. Spoke with the manager and explained the situation nicely and calmly and he got it fixed without a problem. I refused to give this waiter lady my tips for her behavior and I won t return there again if she continues work as waiter there. Foods were very delicious and nice 1950s decorations.

I love a good diner! Its where you find old fashioned good home cooking . This little diner was just that. I wish they had better ham it was very thin and overcooked. I was expecting a thicker country ham slice. The biscuits and gravy are amazing and totally made up for it! The portions were decent, the prices fair, and service was good. Very good food. We had the hamburger steak and the steak finger basket, both were delicious and not too salty. The service was great, very attentive. The food didnt take too long either and the salads came out with a comfortable time before the entrees. The place is pretty small and the tables dont have a lot of space between, so expect a really packed place with little privacy. It also doesnt have booths.

When I travel I seek out mom and pop places to eat. They are usually good and Lizzys was no exception. The service was great. The food was great as well. My eggs were cooked perfectly to order. I noticed in one review that someone said they only got a small portion of hash browns. Mine portion was plenty. I am a coffee nut and the coffee was very good for resteraunt coffee. If I am through Longview TX again I will definitely eat there again.

This was our first time here. We were actually impressed. I love home cooking cafes and diners. The vibe here was great! They have the old 50s vibe going on and even had the music to go with it. I got the biscuits and gravy breakfast and my fiance got the full breakfast with pancakes. They have the really nice fluffy, homemade biscuits! And the pancakes were surprisingly VERY good! They were pretty much IHOP quality, in my opinion. We would definitely go back to this one! (PSA: the biscuits and gravy do not come with everything on them like that. It comes on 2 different platters).

Omelet was a little disappointing and its not a 3 egg omelet. I asked for extra cheese and extra bacon, paying for an extra order of bacon. It only had 2 pieces of bacon in it and cheese just on top, 2 slices. The toast was great. The hash browns were perfect and the fried egg on the side was cooked perfect, on mine. My husband and I went for breakfast around 9 a.m. on a recent weekday. As usual, IHOP was FULL, so we headed to what was once termed, a hole in the wall establishment..... LIZZYS DINER, off McCann Rd., in the building that Louis Morgan #4 Pharmacy owned and operated from there until his move. Anyway, you cant miss it... It really stands out being on the corner of a shopping center and being on McCann Rd! The food is prepared by a good ole fashioned fast order cook! Its so delicious, you almost want to come back for more of his cooking later!! Anyway, my husband loved his buttermilk pancake and sunny-side up egg on top, with a side of bacon; while I, enjoyed my Western Omelette with ham and a delicious buttermilk biscuit! Ive never had bad food or service in spite of how Lizzys is always busy!! Hobo Special, any egg combos and Biscuits with Gravy are favorites. Didnt know you were back until recently and Im thrilled!!!

Great place for some good ol Southern comfort food! I can definitely recommend the meatloaf. And the servers seem genuinely glad to take care of your needs, always with a smile. The lunch crowd tends to be primarily folks adorned with a little gray wisedom (like me), probably because of not only the great food, but also because the whole place is set up like a 50s-60s diner, and its really fun! I now have Lizzys down in my regular lunch rotation of favorites, and I know you will, too, once you try it!

I love the food and I have eaten there several times but this time the service was horrible. We had an older lady that waited on us and she never asked to refill coffee or even if we needed anything.
