Today, Big Sis Tex and I were to celebrate her recent birthday, but she wasnt feeling well. So, what do you do? After attending worship service, I googled restaurants close by. Up popped Bocca Italian Kitchen. Yes! I have been wanting to try it, since the chef bought Marsala wine at the nearby Kroger for his Chicken Marsala! (I was the beer and wine steward at the time !) Well, easily found and had a great parking spot! Really nice inside and my thoughts were, this will be a special treat. It sure was! Open seating, so I picked the bar being solo. Ms. Loriah greeted me and when I told her it was my first time there, we had a great conversation about food, with recommendations and such. I originally intended on just ordering Spaghetti Carbonara, but when I saw the description of the Lobster Ravioli, I totally switched up. Soo glad I did!!! It was soo good!!! The Lobster Ravioli is served with lump crab and and grilled shrimp in a lemon chive mascarpone cream sauce!!! I wanted to lick the plate and not leave anything on it (but I didnt, wanted to, hehehe!) Oh, before that I had a pineapple mimosa. Very good. Before I could finish my Ravioli, Ms. Loriah got called away, but she handed me over to Sams capable hands, so to speak. He was as pleasant as Ms. Loriah, a very good team! For dessert, I had the limoncello creme brulee with the biggest blueberries, blackberries and raspberries I have seen!!! So delicious ! Rounded it up with absolute fresh Italian coffee. I loved the whole meal! What made it even more memorable: Ms. Loriah and Mr. Sam! They just gave me like at home feeling, if you know what I mean! A big shout out to both of you! Thank you! I will definitely be back! Parking: They do have a good stacked bar and 3 TV screens. Outside seating is available and inviting.

First time trying this place and it was such a treat. We had spinach artichoke dip toasted to perfection on top and served with kettle chips. Mac and cheese with bacon was fire. Oh and the arancini, yum! Drinks were delicious and great price at happy hour. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and cannot wait to come back and try more food options. Some of their menus are a little torn up which should be replaced considering the price of items on the menu. That s my only critique. I also wouldn t mind if they added a gourmet burger on the menu because at this spot I know it would be amazing.

This place is absolutely beautiful on the inside, but the food and the service is bad my ravioli tasted like actual dog food, and yes I know what dog food tastes like and this was it, my cheesecake tasted like straight up coffee beans not even an espresso it was decaf, the waitress tried to make us pay for something we did not order, this restaurant prioritizes presentation over tastes which I think is not ok I would rather eat something that looks like dog food but tastes amazing instead of looking great but tasted like dog food also it was not a good proportion of ravioli you could get more ravioli in the cans instead of at this place would not recommend chilis is better. Parking: Not that many places to park

All food came to the table cold. The drinks, atmosphere and service was great. The food was substandard for the cost and it came from the kitchen cold. The appetizers were cold and hard also. I will not do a revisit. I have been going there for years and each time it has gotten worse. It changes management quite often and the atmosphere has changed with the management

I would definitely say its not worth the price and the quality of the food. I got the lemon blue berry pancakes and looked like crepes. The syrup was good but could be better. especially for 3 pancakes and 2 strips of bacon for $19, in my opinion, are over price. The other person got the lobster pasta, we dont like to send the food back, but when its bland and only tastes like tomatoes sauce and no seasoning, its very disappointing. I dont mind paying as long as good and worth it. Also, in their suggested tip portion, I wonder how they use the percentage since its not accurate.

The food is over priced for the quality that you receive. They need a new chef! The ambiance is beautiful but thats it. First we ordered the calamari, we sent it back because it was over cooked and had no flavor at all. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip instead...it was just okay. My date had a lobster dish, the lobster was tuff like rubber and so was the pasta, we sent that back as well. I had spaghetti and meatballs and ordered the same dish to-go for my date and the meatballs barely had meat in them....mostly bread. For a bill of approximately $90 the food should be at least desirable. Extremely disappointing

I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at the Bocca Restaurant .From the moment I walked in, it was clear that this establishment has serious issues. Firstly, the place was visibly dirty. There were crumbs, bits of food, and grime on several tables, and the floors looked like they hadn t been cleaned in days. The menus were sticky, and the bathroom was a disaster overflowing trash, and a terrible odor. The service was equally appalling. When my friend and I arrived, we waited for a good ten minutes before anyone even acknowledged us, despite the restaurant not being busy. When a server finally approached, they were curt and seemed annoyed by our presence. It took another 12 minutes just to get beverages, and when we politely asked about the delay, the server rolled their eyes and walked away without a word. The worst part, however, was the manager. After enduring rude service and receiving cold,

so this is usually one of those places that we go to on special occasions. Recently, my parents and I attended the brunch on Easter and I have to say that it was the best brunch ever and they offered so much stuff, like chicken piccata and the salmon, baked rigatoni, Brussels sprouts and a variety of breads and desserts and we got our moneys worth for it. On Mother s Day (today) me and my family went for the brunch again and of course like last time we saw the advertisement of the same stuff where they were doing a carving station and $5 mimosas just like last time, the carving station came out an hour before brunch ended during the Easter brunch as we were leaving and today we asked the chef if they were doing a carving station and he was not nice at all and was very rude to us and said no we are not which he was very blunt about it and there were some other questions that were asked about that also got a rude response (professionalism am I right). The food was good, but the options were very limited and it wasn t like last time which was very disappointing to see that it wasn t as good as it was during Easter and you know the one problem I have with this advertising of this brunch. You advertise $5 mimosas, a carving station, and a wide variety of mouthwatering foods and today we go and see that the food isn t as good as it was last time and also the dessert section looked very cheap to me. It looked like little cheesecake bites and scones that could be purchased at a store, like Costco Walmart or even Sam s Club And it was kind of upsetting to see that because last time there was a really good variety of desserts that you can tell were made in the restaurant and it didn t look like it was just bought from a store. False advertising for the drinks is kind of upsetting because you overcharge for mimosas when we were told that they were going to be $5 dollars exact so I have to pay more because I was lied to by y all s advertisement. Shoutout to our server Dorian, she was truly amazing and she gave us the best service ever and always made sure we were doing OK and checked on us and had a smile on her face and she was just perfect, If you ever go here, request her because she was amazing. I m going to end this off by saying advertising needs to be better because if y all are going just copy and paste the advertisement from last brunch at least fix it and say there was not gonna be a carving station and there is gonna be different menu items then what there were from the last brunch that you had on Easter and the chef could have been nicer as well. my family and I are very disappointed from the experience other than our server being amazing. In the future, there will not be an attendance for brunch events and even dinner as well due to increase in prices and the decrease in portion sizes after the experience we had today. (Do better to advertise a true fun experience for people that expect it when they see it).

First, let me start this review by saying that I have dined at Bocca since its opening, and have not really had issues until now. The food is good and service is also typically pretty up to par. The reason for this 2 star review now is due to the experience myself and my family had today on Mothers Day 5/12/24. My family made reservations for their Mothers Day Brunch event after attending the Easter Brunch event that Bocca held this year, which per them was outstanding. This time around, not even one month later, my family and myself were left extremely disappointed. Per Boccas ad on Facebook (Which I have attached a screenshot of) the same course of service was being advertised. Most of all, the carving station and $5 mimosas. We arrived around 12:30pm for our reservation in which we were able to catch the tail end of the breakfast portion, and led straight into the lunch portion. It was a happy mix of both, until we saw that the options were slim to none when it came to lunch. During their Easter Brunch, my family was able to pick from dishes such as their salmon piccata, garlic bread, tiramisu, pastas, etc. They said it was essentially most of their regular menu being served buffet style. This was not the case for Mothers Day. There were two pasta options, one chicken marsala, a mashed potato side, a brussels sprouts side, and then chicken tenders, and one Cajun red snapper option. Not that exciting... And dont get me wrong, the food was good, but this was nowhere near the experience that was held just weeks prior. The biggest complaint was that it was 1:30pm and my mother went up and happened to ask the supposed chef if the carving station was ever going to be brought out, and his sharp attitude filled reply was a quick Nope, not today. We also witnessed another guest ask if the salmon was going to be an option and yet again this head chef responded with, and I quote, No but I guess I could whip it up for you, but it will be $44. Jaw dropping. Not just that, but the very much lack of dessert options were quite literally small pastries you buy at Costco. No Italian desserts like the last time. They werent even that great. For THIRTY FIVE ($35!) PER PERSON, this was honestly extremely underwhelming for my first Bocca brunch event, and was beyond disappointing for my families second brunch event. Nothing advertised was served, and I didnt even catch it till after I went home that I paid $24 for three mimosas (receipt attached.) when they were supposed to be $5 a piece, PER THE ADVERTISEMENT. No where did anything state that it was all subject to change. I know for a fact that myself and my family wont be returning to anymore Bocca brunch events, and it is honestly hard to say if we will return as normal dinner guests in the future due to extremely sharp price increases, and serving sizes decreasing. Shoutout to our server Dorian though. She was beyond excellent with such a good personality. One of the best servers I have ever had at Bocca. If you ever decide to go, make sure you ask for her.

We attended Brunch on Easter Sunday and it was magnificent! That day a carving station was advertised and wasn t brought out until an hour before it was over as we were leaving. They also had their in-house desserts as well! Also they offered 5 dollar mimosas. All the food was clearly what was on the regular menu. We decided to attend again for Mother s Day based on the same advertisement as Easter! A carving station etc . This buffet was 35 dollars a person. What a horrible experience today was. When asked about the carving station, the chef who is pictured was not a nice person and said, Nope we are not doing that today. The ad stated a carving station, no carving station! The ad also did not say subject to change. The food was clearly not what we experienced the first time around. When I asked the chef about dessert, particularly the tiramisu, I was told, no it s only the tiny bite size desserts that were clearly purchased at Costco. (My husband has purchased them for his job). The chef was not nice at all and didn t even try to make the situation better when asked about dessert. I witnessed him having a conversation with another customer asking about salmon which they had on the Easter buffet. He told that customer curtly that he could get him the salmon but it would cost him around 44 dollars due to the high price of the fish! He did nothing to try to help that customer either. This is a high end restaurant and the only reason we booked today was we expected an experience based on the advertisement for the brunch. The server did tell my husband mimosas were 5 dollars so my daughter and I ordered one as well. We were overcharged for them, at 8 dollars a piece. The server was the only excellent part of the experience . When you advertise something , that is the expectation the customer comes in with. Bocca did not live up to that expectation today. Costco desserts, poor food quality and charging mistakes all add up to 1 star. The chef was rude, and uncaring. I would save your hard earned money and dine elsewhere.

My wife and I love this place, tonight was a different story. We ordered the fried calamari and this is one of the few times in my life i literally sent a dish back. The breading was horrible and most of the dish was just that, bad breading and zero calamari. I wouldnt normally complain about an appetizer but this one was 17 dollars and we couldnt even eat it. My entree was the skirt steak, medium rare with fondant potatoes. The potatoes were magnificent but the steak was cold to the touch with pieces that were medium rare and pieces that were damn near well done. I was literally unable to cut it with the dull knife that was provided. This wasnt during a rush or busy hours either. We had a reservation at 8:30, the restaurant was only about halfway occupied at that time. I expect better paying 47 dollars for some cuts of steak and a few pieces of potatoes. Super dissatisfied and disappointed. Weve been here multiple times but tonight very well may be the last time. Servers are great and drinks were great but, spending over 140 dollars for that food was robbery. This was our Mothers Day date night might I add. You have to do better. The restaurant is beautiful and the front house staff are amazing, the kitchen is not holding up to the expectations they set with those prices. Hopefully something changes.

We came in for a family brunch on a Saturday, a few other families and couples were seated inside and on the patio. Bocca has a beautiful indoor space with a central bar and floor to ceiling windows on the main wall. We were quickly seated without a reservation at one of the couch-like seats behind the hostess stand. They offer both their full menu and brunch menu and we ordered a bit from both. Drinks and dessert are on a digital menu that you scan a QR code on the main menus to access. Our daughter got the pepperoni pizza from the kids menu, which was just a single slice of pizza. It was delicious but it doesnt come with any sides so we ended up getting her a 10 pizza and she had leftovers. We also ordered the Lobster Ravioli and the brunch special Chilaquiles with chorizo. Both were excellent, well plated, and well portioned. For dessert we split the chocolate cake which we struggled to share because everyone wanted it all for themselves! This was our first visit and we will be returning again soon for family meals, date nights, or any other excuse we can come up with. Sam was our waiter, and he did a great job making us feel welcome, keeping up with our food and drinks, and making our daughter laugh. Thanks, Sam! If youve seen the advertisements around the area but havent gone to visit yet, then nows the time! Kid-friendliness: Kids menu is extremely limited, they do have one though. It comes on paper with a few games and a pack of crayons. The tables are spread out enough, and the music is appropriately loud enough, that kids talking or playing at their table wouldnt disturb others. The staff was very kid-friendly.

I had to wave down 2nd bartender to take my order. When my pizza came out, no one brought me napkins or a plate. I had to wave a bartender over. Half way through my meal I needed another drink. Not once did any of the two bartenders ask me if I wanted another drink. After my dishes were cleared, the bartender that originally brought the menu came over and asked me if I was ready to order. Overall it was an unusually awful experience. Staff completely ignored me tonight.

The starters were very good in size, so much so I nearly cancelled my main dish! The drinks were not great, certainly had better. We had dinner on Saturday night at 6 p.m and were surprised upon walking in to find only two other tables sitting for dinner. That is generally a bad sign for a restaurant on the weekend, but it didnt detract us from staying. Service and dinner were good (no complaints), but it became evident by the end why its probably not as busy as it should be. We paid almost $200 for three drinks, two shared appetizers, a shared salad, and a shared order of lobster ravioli. As someone who has lived most of his life in NYC I am used to paying higher prices when dining out. However, even though the drinks and food are good, I think the prices are why this place was empty (no more than two tables had diners when we left) and may have challenges moving forward.

My wife and I went to celebrate our anniversary and were kind of disappointed. To start, the meatball appetizer is fantastic. Great seasoning on the meatballs and the sauce is delicious. This was the highlight of the evening. For entrees, she got the chicken marsala. The mashed potatoes were very good, but the chicken marsala part not so much. The chicken has very little seasoning to it and the marsala sauce lacked any of the characteristic sweetness of the marsala wine thats supposed to be in it. It was just a tasty brown sauce, but it was not marsala. I got the carbonara. 3 bits in and I could not eat anymore. The amount of pepper that was in there was ridiculous. It overwhelmed everything in the dish. There was another table next to us and both of them not only got the carbonara but were sending it back for the exact same reason. It was not good. I got the salamon piccata instead. The salmon was cooked well, even had a little crispiness on the edges, but the piccata sauce was a bit disappointing. It was very buttery, but did not have that tart hit to it like a piccata should. Even the capers were not super flavorful and just salty. The woman who I assume was a manager was very kind and very nice, kudos to her. Our waiter was a bit slow and there would be seemingly long periods of time where he just wasnt around. We received food without utensils (as did the table next to us), there was an item on their specials that they were out of but we didnt find out until my wife tried to order it (gnocchi). Lastly, when I made the reservation, I put in there that it was our anniversary. I have no idea if this information didnt make it to Bocca or what, but no one said anything about it, so it was as if we were not celebrating anything. Im not writing this review to slam the restaurant. I worked in restaurants for years and want nothing more than a nice, upscale Italian place in our area. But this just doesnt hit that mark. The food (at least tonight) does not hit the mark. The service does not hit the mark. I wish it did.

My mouth is watering thinking about how hood the good was. Ill definitely be back for the appetizers alone. Best ceaser salad Ive ever had and thr carbonara was delicious too. Our server was great, but the food took awhile. The music was a little loud for a family dinner, but not uncomfortable. Well definitely be back soon! Usually I have great things to say about Bocca but tonight I was greatly disappointed. We brought family from out of town and they were not impressed whatsoever. The server was definitely having an off night and it showed. We were one of the first tables there and it took forever. When sitting down I immediately ordered 2 kids meals. The spaghetti and meatballs came extremely fast while the plain butter noodles took another 15 mins. We asked multiple times and when they finally came they were garlic and seasoned butter noodles and our 1 year old was not a fan. All the food came at different times and it was awkward. The calamari was extremely salty and the cacio pepe was uncomfortably flavored with peper. To be honest, I usually love coming here but this time I was counting down u til leaving. Well be back but the hopes are low.

It may not be the cheapest option out there, but its a must-have experience. They say you pay for what you get, but here, you get more than what you pay for. I live in Houston and I had this restaurant on my list for a while, but the 35 minutes to get there were definitely worth it. The place is really chic, it has a very modern and elegant vibe. The attention was excellent, from the moment we arrived, a host opened the door for us, which I thought was super friendly, I had a prior reservation and they immediately gave us the table. Our server was very good and attentive and when he knew it was our first time he gave us his recommendations. Food INCREDIBLE, the Garlic Bread and the Spinach Dip are delicious. The Pasta Carbonara and the pepper and parmesan pasta were super good and the cooked pasta was perfect. The Italian buffalo pizza was super delicious. I loved that the dough was thin and toasted. The bar has a selection of local beers and drinks. I ordered a Sangria which was super refreshing. It really was a pleasant experience and I recommend going. It is ideal for a happy hour, outing with friends, dates or any occasion. Parking: The restaurant was located between a complex of buildings, the parking is on the street, when I was leaving I thought I saw a parking lot at the back of the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: Super friendly and kind everything. Wheelchair accessibility: Everything is on the same level, there is no staircase. which makes access easier

DO NOT go here!!!!. This establishment is horrible! Contrary to the other reviews the manager Justin is very rude and unprofessional. Not sure if it has to do with race but he is very much unpleasant or maybe it depends on what day of the week you catch him on. But either way I would not recommend. Italianos in Humble is a very nice and pleasant Italian restaurant try them.

Not all people are out to free load off of you Justin. There s a way to speak to people and how you childishly, belligerently spoke to me today in front of your staff and guests was heinous. Also the fact that you voiced you were calling the police all while I waited to speak with the manager I had spoken to before you got involved. If there was consistency from day to night with the kitchen that you oversee then I would have never questioned the proportion issue. However, you made it seem like I was just taking from you. I can pull up each time I have purchased that soup from your establishment and the other foods that have amounted to over $300. All have been take out. It saddens me that you as a Chopped champion would stoop so low and be so argumentative and you verified that you were arguing. I felt under the weather after a shift and just wanted the restaurants very good soup. Now this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth which I will never recover from since you called the police while I asked to speak to the manager/supervisor Victoria so that I could get a refund and leave empty handed. Thank you for that world known chopped experience. You are also head of hospitality not sure how that happened because you definitely need some people skills.

We were able to BYOB for a $40 corking fee which wasnt mentioned when I called or when we came in, as other places are much cheaper. The vibe is great for date night as the area is new and they have a nice park where lots of couples were walking to holding hands. I recently visited this amazing restaurant and was blown away by the entire experience. The ambience was stunning - I felt like I was transported to a different world. The lighting was perfect, the decor was tasteful, and the vibe was just right. I could tell that the staff put a lot of effort into creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. But what really stood out was the food. Every single dish that we ordered was absolutely delicious. The ingredients were fresh and expertly prepared, and the flavors were balanced well. I especially loved the salmon Cesar salad- it was unlike anything Ive ever tasted before. The teens enjoyed 2 large pepperoni pizzas with friends on the patio. And to top it off, the portion sizes were generous, so we left feeling perfectly satisfied. Overall, I had an incredible experience at Bocca Italian Restaurant and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. Weve been to Boccas a half dozen times over the last two years. I give them high marks for their food - it is consistently good. I particularly like the Carnivore Pizza, although $32 for a 16-inch pizza might be a bit high priced for some people. This is a high-ceilinged, open restaurant with a lot glass all around, so it has an enjoyable modern atmosphere to it. It is clearly aiming to be a high-end establishment. The following suggestions come from repeatedly experiencing these same things each time weve been there: 1. The restaurant appears to be constantly under-staffed and the staff seems to be consistently under-trained. Service is slow because there doesnt seem to be enough waiters on the floor. Theyve also not been well trained on how to do simple things like open a bottle of wine, or how to behave with their customers. They should probably also spend less time chatting with each other at the front desk and more time watching their customers. The greeters should also be trained. If the restaurant is mostly empty because its still early in the evening, they should not try to seat people at the worst tables (next to the bathroom, for example). Its not a good start to the experience if we have to insist on changing tables. 2. The wine list is exceptionally limited for a high-end restaurant. They have exactly one option for Chardonnay - take it or leave it, I guess. But they do mix a decent Gin & Tonic, which I am finding to be increasingly rare. 3. If you have to park in the garage because the street parking is full (or its raining), the garage is cheap - $1 for 3 hours. And -- you can get a validation ticket from the restaurant. Except that they never have the validation tickets. Ever! Its always the same statement: we just ran out. Not that a dollar for parking is going to kill me, but it sure makes me wonder!

First time eating here. Beautiful place, music WAY too loud! And why not Italian arias or light piano music? Its not the Hard Rock Cafe or a club. The service began well enough and we were checked on from time to time - just not when we needed something. My wifes salad, a caprese, which was good, but so very little balsamic??? My garden salad was kind of strange, but OK. Our entrees were both good - veal parmigiana and shrimp scampi. Then a weird thing - we asked for some parmesan cheese and our server brought a little plastic cup of powdered parm cheese. It looked exactly like the stuff you shake out of a can. Now, this was not an inexpensive meal, but we only had one glass of wine each and an entree and salad each. The cheapest cabernet was $18 a glass! I do not mind paying a good price for a good meal, however $120.00 (not counting tip)?

I stopped by for lunch yesterday (my 1st visit). The place was pretty empty and I was greeted with a smile as the door was held open for me & my son (wheelchair) by a very pleasant young lady. The waiter unfortunately was not so pleasant, not helpful with questions about the menu, nor wanted to offer suggestions. He seemed to not really want to serve me at all. My food was delicious but a bit spicy. The pleasant greeter came by and took care of my needs with the same smile she greeted me with. My waiter was quickly ready to give me my check instead of seeing what happened to my food. I tried speaking to him about his attitude and he nonchalantly took my money for the bill and walked away. Upon leaving 3 workers were standing by the door chatting. NOT ONE PERSON OFFERED TO OPEN THE DOOR!! As I struggled to push the door open and maneuver my sons wheelchair out of it, I thanked them for their assistance. One young lady just looked at me then the guy came over as if his assistance was needed now that I was out of the door. Needless to say, I will NEVER return to this location! Wheelchair accessibility: Get power doors or train the staff to save their personal conversations until after the guests are properly assisted.

I recently dined at Boccas Italian Kitchen and had a pleasant experience overall. My waiter, Jaden, was very courteous and made sure to check in with me even though I was seated in a far corner of the restaurant. I started with the three meatball appetizers, which were tasty and refreshing from the usual bland meatballs Ive had at other places. I ordered a latte since there were no soda options on the menu, which was pretty good. For my main course, I ordered scampi pasta with chicken. The shrimp was cooked well, and the added chicken was a nice touch. However, the dish had a big pile of roasted garlic which overwhelmed the other flavors a bit. The dish would have been perfect if they had lessened the amount of garlic. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, though it did get quite loud at times. I assume it was due to an executive party happening in the first half of the restaurant. Overall, Boccas is a good place to check out if youre looking for a relaxed atmosphere with good Italian food and a wide selection of alcoholic drinks.

Would return. Our waiter was attentive and funny. The food was excellent. My husband and I ordered two entrees with the intention to split, and the kitchen split them for us without us having to ask. My kids enjoyed the pizza.

This place is highly overrated and overpriced. The calamari and service was decent but the pastas were soupy and flavorless. Tasted just like a frozen meal. Overall disappointed for a restaurant being in redemption square. I recommend getting new chefs and recipes.

I take my customers and friends here for lunch and cocktails often! This is my go to place because the food, drinks, service and accessibility are always consistent.
