On Tuesdays they have steak and its kinda expensive and just meh. Comment from owner: Thank you for your feedback, however the steak is done by an outside vendor. If the three stars is for your actual service with us, please let us know so we can improve. Reply to owner: Youre right, Ive decided to revise my review. Three stars indicates its okay , but I think two stars indicating disliked it is fitting. If you bring a vendor to sell food in your business, it is representative of your business. Its up to you to decide if the quality doesnt represent Mcelroys. Additionally, the blonde barkeep was rude and refused to even make eye contact with my party. The I have no complaints about the brunette bartender who actually served us.

I live about 38 miles away from Jonnys but I came in town for steak night. I had the BEST bartender!! Crystal was so attentive. They have an extensive beer selection & she walked me threw which beers I should try after asking for my preferences. I will definitely be back.

First off Darlene makes THE BEST Blood Orange Marg! Secondly Can I just give a standing ovation to this staff? They have been short staffed literally since covid. Even through their exhaustion, they are laughing, smiling and doing their best to give prompt service even when slammed. These girls are the best part of MY day and I know see them working hard to make your day even if sometimes they may be exhausted! Be kind to your bar staff! Johnny Mcs is the best in town!

This is my favorite spot in the neighborhood! The bartenders are so welcoming and know me by name AND by drink, even though I don t make it in as often as I would like. Their menu has expanded over the last couple years and their bacon jalapeño cheddar burger is to die for! They may have a small staff, but each and every person here works their tail off to provide the best guest experience! If you want a tasty Bloody Mary on the weekends, Brittany is your girl!! 5 stars!!

Deck looks nice from the street but its a very different experience. If I could give it 0 stars, I would. Service is terrible, nobody smiles, its like they all dislike being there. Its an extremely negative place. Note, watch your tab! Saw an over served person. He just kept handing the bartender 20s (5 or 6) and she kept taking them. This place over serves, and takes advantage of people. One of the regulars told me a person died a few years ago after being over served here. Depressing.

Safety! I and some friends decided to go here for a drink, sat on the patio, and by the time we finished. My car was broken into by thieves looking for valuables. They took some that werent in plain sight. If they can break into cars in the no-lighting parking lot, I dont see any reason why they cant just step into their patio at gunpoint to rob everyone. Be careful and park next to the ramp/steps if you have to go here. Be sure to have someone/staff walk you to your car if you arent parked close. No cameras or proper lighting. Decided to post this just to let yall know.

Perhaps the best service in Houston! The difference is that the staff are like family and really enjoy working here. They pay attention and make sure no one is left standing/waiting at the bar. For those seated outside or at tables they come round to check on you. Atmosphere is relaxed and the place well kept. Congratulations ladies, you are the best!

First, the stuff we really want to know about: food and drinks! Popped in for a quick drink with a friend. The bartender let us sample their frozen spicy mango margarita. Very different! It is made with some sort of spicy tequila. While the spicy aspect was not what I was looking for, I did like that it wasnt super sweet. There was a hint of mango. I decided to try their cucumber mule. Very refreshing during these hot Houston summer days! Mt friend had their golden paloma. It was also refreshing. Very good. We found out that their red salsa is homemade, so we shared the chips, salsa and queso. It was all very good. But, the salsa was so thick that it was nearly the consistency of tomato paste. However, everything was fresh and had nice flavors. There is a wall of local brewery (and other breweries) beers on tap for you beer lovers! Second, the reason I gave it 4 stars (instead of 5): this is NOT an Irish pub in any way, shape or form. Its basically a sports bar. We enjoyed it. The bartender was very nice. Prices are reasonable. And, I love the Houston vibe (lots of Astros stuff). But, it is not an Irish pub.

Loved the vibe of this place. And dame can I say they make a bomb Frozen Margarita, I did want to share but you can also get a 2 Dollar shot added..so Freaking good. My husband was very happy with his pour of Whiskey, which is hard to find. Over all we didnt get to try the food cause we were just there for the drinks, but the Bar tender was really nice..make sure to wear your Mask. Cant wait to go back and try some food.

Not a safe environment. Multiple cars was broken and things got stolen and they don t even have the footages covering the instances, even though just happened closer to the camera. You can see all over the fences with the sign surveillance in progress . At least put the safety sign in the parking lot instead of false advertisement.

Had a delicious Reuben sandwich. Being outside next to the street it was rather hard to hear anyone. Plus they had a leaf blower going too. Probably lovely in the evening. They had a dog bowl out with water too!
