The inside is filthy. Theres dust everywhere and the floors were dirty as well. The guy who took my order was nice. When I got my food I noticed that the lettuce and tomato on my fish sandwich were rotten. I threw up! I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS PLACE

These guys really know what theyre doing. I regret not giving it a try sooner. The meat was tender and cooked perfectly, the beans werent too sweet and had great flavor, the greens werent overcooked like some places do. Extremely nice guys running the place. Highly recommend.

The Mac and cheese is not what I am accustomed to. The pasta was overcooked the cheese wasn t real. It was like some pasta with cheese poured over it. The fish and potato salad were decent. The chicken wings were fresh , but they need more seasoning. They were on the bland side. The banana pudding seemed like it was made from the box and there were no bananas in it.

The food was good. The Mac-n-cheese was a little cold as well as the brisket. But the flavor was there. Price was reasonable. For me and my wife it was only $34 and that was for 2 meals and 2 drinks. I was excited at first just to be left super disappointed. Brisket was tough almost inedible. The Mac and Cheese was definitely Kraft deluxe with maybe some garlic powder added? My time here and it won t be the last! If you re looking for a REAL burger made with REAL beef and all the love the staff has to offer, come here. The bread was toasted the onions were amazing and the it was on point! I had a hard time staying awake when I went back to work. Traveling through town and hungry, I searched reviews to find a local place instead of a chain along the highway and Im so glad I did! Thick, well-seasoned burger patties that were perfectly cooked and still juicy, toasted buns, and very friendly employees. The fries were great and the banana pudding was so yummy. I wasnt as blown away as I thought Id be by the BBQ as I thought Id be honestly. I could taste the smoke, and the sauce was good, but I prefer mine on the side so I can try it with and without. I shouldve asked, so thats on me. The mac in cheese was good. I just needed a little salt. The food took a little longer than expected. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated, though. Great spot for days you dont want to cook or the typical fast food. Very Down home stick to your ribs meal. My Mom even enjoyed the ribs and greens. Ok......finally visited pull up and eat. Tried the fried chicken wings, potato salad, mac and cheese, and fries. I enjoyed the fried wings they were tasty seasoned well and fried just how I like it, not a fan of chicken fried hard. Didnt feel the same about the potato salad and mac and cheese. The potato salad is mustard based not a fan of that but it might be a delight to your taste buds so still give it a try. The mac and cheese tasted and looked like it came from a box of kraft. It wasnt baked or cheesy like the mac and cheese big mama makes...no where close. So at the moment it can only get 3 stars from me. I really wanted to like this place but got food poisoning instead. The first time I visited they were out of brisket and mac-n-cheese. So, we chose to return another day. The guys at the counter were very friendly and mentioned that they help military veterans. Being a veteran myself I came back to try to support their business. Unfortunately, roughly $40 later we waited almost 30 minutes for a simple order. We got home to some inedible food and what was edible caused severe food poisoning. Fried catfish appeared to be a frozen mass produced product and was rock HARD! Mac-n-cheese was so dry and bland we couldnt eat it. The beans were so dry and tasted like they were poured straight out of a can. I tried to reach back out via telephone for resolution but was unsuccessful reaching anyone who might help. I dont trust trying it again after we were so sick.

I tried the Mike T Burger with beans. Beans were great. The burger was good, too, and it was put together nicely as you can see from the picture. I normally dont like my burgers cooked well done, so that would be my biggest complaint about it. I feel like this place is more known for their fried fish and BBQ, so I will definitely give those a try next time.

I got the fish plate with two sides. It was cooked to order and very tender, flavorful, and seasoned and fried perfectly. They use a different type of catfish, Swai, that doesnt have the earthly taste you normal get from fried catfish places. Will be back to try the BBQ next!

I had the brisket plate with potato salad and beans. EXELLENT.....best American potato salad I had since I moved to the US 38 years ago. This place was an awesome find. To start as we were pulling up there was a guy out front working the smoker like a pro. When we walked through the door it was like walking through grandmas kitchen door. The smells were heavenly and the guy behind the counter could have been my own brother asking me if i was hungry and did i want a plate. I quickly ordered the combo plate with baked beans and greens for myself, fried catfish with tater salad and greens for my uncle and 2 brisket sandwiches for my cousin. It cost mev$52. When I asked about drinks they was like we got can drinks in the cooler and kool-aid in the pitcher. At that point I was in love with the place. I pour me some kool-aid, sat down and waited for my order and watch several people from the surrounding neighborhood come in and gossip about the comings and goings. It really made me feel like I was home. And the food didnt disappoint either. It was so good it made me cry. I will definitely be back regularly.
