Hosted a HS Band Banquet at The Venue st Memorial and it was a huge success! Sonia worked wonders that allowed for us to have dinner, an awards ceremony, guest speakers, A/V presentations, and social time with a photobooth! Great venue in the west Houston area. We had our event here recently, and everything was perfect. Ms Sonia is very courteous and professional. She put out a great seating layout and table decor (tablecloth, napkins, charger plates, silverware) for us. On event day the colors she recommended looked great. She set up kids tables in the foyer and all our guests loved it, especially the little ones. The lighting, AC, and sound were great. The restrooms were very clean and well maintained. Parking was sufficient. The servers who worked our event were very professional and sweet. Overall, our event was extremely enjoyable, and all our guests were impressed with the venue. Highly recommend this place.

we had our daughters wedding there on friday and we could not have been happier . Sonya the owner is the perfect host and deigned everything to my daughters taste everything from the decor to food serving to the bar was done so tastefully and her staff were on top of everything . i would advise anyone to go and see the venue our wedding had 50 people was intimate and very professional thank you again sonya we will be using you again big happy family here also a beautiful bridal suite is now available which is a great help

This weekend I had to do the hardest thing a father can do, lay my son to rest. I didnt want to do a traditional church send off and i chose to do a Celebration of Life ceremony. I found a couple of different place that i strongly considered but after visiting the Venue At Memorial and meeting with Sofia I knew I wouldnt have to look further. The place was very nice and Sofia was extremely helpful She made this difficult time for me a little better by removing the stress of making this happen. The day of the event i walked into a beautiful decorated venue and everything was exactly what i wanted it to be. The lights were perfect, table settings classy, bar was prepared, food was good and the servers were very attentive to my guest. I highly recommend this place for whatever event you are having. I will be doing another bigger event for my son birthday here in July. Thanks Again Sofia, I really appreciate everything you did to help make my event special.

I planned my parents 35th Anniversary here yesterday and while the venue is aesthetically pleasing, there were a few issues which have led me to not book this venue again. CONCERN: Sonia texted me at midnight, the day before our event asking me to bring burners for the chafing dishes. We catered the food through our own vendor due to the many diet restrictions and kosher food requirements our crowd has. I arrived to the venue the day of my event to set up and was told again by the crew that Sonia said they do not have burners and that I need to purchase my own, I was also told that since we did not order the cake or hot tea cart through them, they would not provide plates or cups. Sonia was not there so I gave her a call and she was so defensive and argued with me continuously and was adamant that I needed to purchase my own cake plates/utensils, cups, and burners for their chafing dishes. Her rationale was I gave you such a good deal on the venue, you can purchase your own items. I did not mind getting these but I wish I was told that they wouldn t provide it, which also concerns me as during our planning and contract phase, I was told they would. At that point, I was so frustrated that I had to run the store on the day of the event to purchase these small items. I left the venue at 2pm after setting up to go and purchase these our event started at 6:30pm., safe to say I was NOT happy. Last comment, the location is not convenient to find and takes you elsewhere through google maps. Our guests had trouble especially because there is no sign at the top of the building. Jessie and her crew were a pleasure to work with and worked so hard on the day of our event to ensure our guests were taken care of. If it wasn t for her, I would have given 1 star.

Recently had our wedding here Est October 9th, 2021! We loved everything about our wedding day. The only disappointment we had that we wish the venue offered was a bridal suite! But other than that it was such a fun and happy ending journey ! Wedding food isn t usually good and we were nervous for that but Sonia has a really good cater everyone loved the food. We specifically LOVED OUR CAKE also who is one of Sonias caters for cake. Thank you to the staff that also worked the day of our wedding ! Thank you Sonia for being attentive and working with us ! She answered all of my questions every step of the way and even dealt with my last minute changes. I fell in love with the venue as soon as I walked in! It had taken me some time to put the proper words in place for a review, but not many words top Phenomenal! From the very moment we walked through the door, we knew this was where we wanted to host our wedding. Sonia, the owner, and her entire family were nothing short of a blessing. She took time out to walk us through the process and did not pressure us while making our decision. She was kind and an absolutely amazing when it came to remaining professional. The venue is beautiful and the staff for the evening made my guests feel like family, just as Sonia did with us. There is plenty of parking and security on duty for your event. Sonia has a team of vendors that can supply your every need and she connects all of the dots so that you don t have to run around town searching for extra items. We were able to customize our decor, select our menu, set up transportation and order our cake with Sonia without any hiccups. This was such an amazing experience and we love the venue and staff so much that we will be hosting my daughter s birthday party here as well. Dont let the parking lot fool you. Once you step in the doors you forget about whats outside. The staff was willing and attentive from beginning to end. However it would have been nice if everything was completed and done 30 minutes before guests started to arrive. Our Celebration of Life came together nicely and many compliments were expressed. I will seek the venue out again.

Sonia and Gabbie at VAM are an team from heaven. From my first phone call to inquire about the venue, until the day after my daughters beautiful formal wedding, I could not have gotten better care, concern, and service from any other venue. Also, we are not American, Mexican, or Italian, which are the main cuisines they feature, so I had concerns about the food. Sonia communicated our needs to Chef Sandra, who is in charge of the catering. Chef Sandra did her research, and hit the nail on the head for our mixed Trinidadian and Nigerian menu. Our guests are still ranting and raving over the delicious food. Our family now calls VAM the big little place, because while it held our 140 guests comfortably. My daughter has an aversion to big, gaudy ballrooms with wildly pattered carpeting, so VAM was just what she dreamed of. It was very warm and intimate, which was just the feel we were going. Sonia, the owner, and Gabby the manager bent over backwards to make sure we were pleased. Even when I got busy and forgot to buy iced tea for the bar...what did I find in glasses during dinner? ICED TEA!!! They also worked very well with our event planning company June Plumm Events, to maje sure all specification were met. I simply cannot say enough about these wonderful ladies. We started with them as clients, and we left as friends, but we are not gone forever. This place is Houstons best kept secret for events, and we will return.

The venue is very nice. The decor was very elegant and there was ample parking. My issue was with the venue s food policy and the security guard s enforcement of the policy. I am a vegetarian and I have food allergies, so I m kind of a picky eater. When I attend parties, I usually put a small salad in my purse in case there is nothing served that I can eat. I m not the type of person that expects everyone to cater to my dietary needs. Upon our arrival, the security guard told me that he would need to search my purse. He saw my salad and bottle of mineral water and told me in a very rude and condescending manner that there was food inside that he was sure I could eat and that I couldn t take my salad or water inside. I explained my situation to him and he said that I would need to go in and speak with someone and that person would need to come out and tell him that it would be okay for me to bring my salad and water inside. I had to go back to my car to leave my salad and water, so that I could enter the venue. When dinner was served, there was nothing being served that I was able to eat, and a salad course was not served. The last thing I wanted to do was disturb the program that was in progress to ask for permission to go to my car to bring my salad in. This venue needs to be aware that there are individuals with varying dietary restrictions and needs who don t expect their hosts to cater to their individual needs and may bring a small snack with them so that they can participate in the celebration without disrupting the program. There also needs to be a protocol in place for these situations that may arise that doesn t involve having the guest leave their food in the car and go into the venue to ask for permission to bring in food that they know they will be able to eat.
