My on 9/14/2024, my cousin had her wedding here in can say we experienced the worse customers service here. On her special day, Angelita Jimenez invited three different groups of people to tour the event that we were not away of. Even in the mist of us being in the bridal suit where we were preparing for her special day, Angelita bring in the guest to look, God forbid if we were not clothed. I wouldnt recommend this place to my worse enemy.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD THE DISPLEASURE OF BEING A PART OF! I implore you to read this review before wasting your money. I was part of my friends wedding which took place on 9/14/24. I will try to be as objective as possible. For starters, the manager ( Anjelita Jimenez) granted at least 3 groups of strangers on the day of the event to tour the venue against the brides knowledge and will. It was very odd and quite intrusive. Anjelita Jimenez had no regard for the sanctity, privacy and importance of my friends special day. She went as far as to bring one of the groups to the bridal suite/changing room while the bridal party was getting dressed and preparing for the event; again without permission. I personally witnessed this and was appalled. The bride also noted the tours and understandably, she was upset and annoyed but she decided to focus on preparing for her big day instead of addressing the issue at the time. There were other complaints I will reference that I was informed of but was not directly a part of. I will include them in this review because it gives context: 1. The manager (Anjelita Jimenez) insisted that the venues microphone must be used during the wedding ceremony. The bride states that she opted to use the DJs mic instead but Anjelita Jimenez declined. During the wedding ceremony, the mic kept failing for unknown reasons leaving some of the guests unable to hear the exchange of vows; arguably one of the most sacred and precious portions of the ceremony. 2. The manager, (Anjelita Jimenez) accosted and harassed some of the guests because they brought their own alcoholic beverages to consume during the reception. She approached their table and lifted up the table cloth to search for alcohol. Somehow, law enforcement was called, presumably by said manager when there were no reports of violence, threats or anything else that would warrant calling law enforcement. 3. The manager (Anjelita Jimenez) slammed the kitchen door in the face of the brides sister after she asked for a plastic trash bag. 4. A Mocktail vendor was told she was not allowed to serve alcohol unless dispensed by the venues bartender. The Mocktail vendor stated she holds an alcohol dispensing license and is able to legally serve alcohol. The Manager ( Anjelita Jimenez) vehemently declined so the Mocktail vendor decided to not serve alcohol. The Manager, (Anjelita Jimenez) then decided to confirm that the vendor indeed had no alcohol on hand and proceeded to search the vendors belongings which is a violation of her personal rights. For reference, there was an event coordinator that was present, effective and available that Anjelita Jimenez (if she had any concept of the art of diplomacy) could have collaborated with to defuse any potential issue or conflict. But it seems she had no respect or regard for the client, thus she opted to rarely involve the coordinator in the aforementioned situations. I have never experienced/ witnessed such wanton disrespect, disregard and unprofessionalism from a venue that is supposed to be in line with the hospitality industry. To be subject to this kind of treatment on one of the most important days of ones life is unimaginable; especially considering that this service was paid for. This was not a charity case or a favor. I dont understand what kind of business practice this is. I am also very curious as to what the basis of this treatment stems from? If I were the owner of this establishment, I would seriously investigate these matters and take the necessary steps to ensure that prospective clients are never treated in this manner.

This venue is beautiful! They have everything you need for an excellent wedding along with flexibility to work with your budget. My previous venue had flooded and canceled on me 2 weeks prior to my wedding. Janice went above and beyond to help us quickly secure The Hall & Garden and plan all of the details. I appreciate her help so much - without her we probably would have had to cancel, as many venues were already booked. I cannot thank Janice and her team enough! Our wedding was absolutely perfect and better than I could have ever imagined. I highly recommend this place!!!!

As a wedding photographer who has had the privilege of working at The Hall and Garden in North Shore, Houston, Texas I appreciated the opportunity to work there. This place is excellent for wedding venue. I must admit, when I pulled into the parking lot I was very impressed, but inside was fantastic and the outside wedding area was great. My nephew was married a couple of weeks ago and even though it was hot outside it was pleasant underneath the harbor. If one wanted, the ceremony could have been view from inside looking through the glass windows. The food and staff were excellent

I just had my wedding reception here on 6/18/22 and it surpassed my expectations! Everything was so beautiful. It was great working with them all. Linda was so sweet and helpful my dad got sick and we weren t sure if he d make it to see my prior wedding date we originally booked and they worked with me to change it. Micheal was beyond amazing and helpful be brought everything I envisioned to life. I definitely recommend them! If you haven t booked you should definitely book now!

Beautiful and Professional! The Hall and Garden is a BEAUTFIUL venue, and the Owners/Staff are very Professional! My Garden Birthday Brunch event was January 2022. Words cannot describe my experience I had working with Linda/Alex and the entire staff as I planned my birthday celebration. From the beginning to end they were so FRIENDLY, KIND, and THOUGHTFUL. They were always available to answer any questions and address any concerns. The venue is clean and beautiful with class. The Patio Garden is covered with open air and the garden atmosphere is so pretty. My Garden Birthday Brunch was so special because of you all and the lovely garden patio. My guests loved the venue and the way they were treated. If you are looking for a venue that is beautiful, reasonable and with professional staff look no further, Hall and Garden is your place. We originally were set for a wedding in 2020 but had to push back due to pandemic. They allowed us to change our date no problem! They revamped and remodeled within that time. It was already a nice space, but they have definitely made it look even more amazing! The Hall & Garden is a beautiful space for a wedding! It was awesome being able to find a space that offered room for a ceremony (their amazing garden area) and reception all in one. The catering was delicious, the decor was stunning, and they offer so many more services. Their chamoy & chocolate fountains were a huge hit as well! Another great perk is that they allow BYOB, with access to a great bar area! Alex and Linda were extremely helpful the days leading up to the wedding. They really brought our vision to life. From in person, e-mail, or calls always super responsive. Linda was such an amazing person to work with. Super sweet and she really made the process so much easier! Truly an amazing person to work with! The entire team s attention to detail was amazing, they all truly went above and beyond. We would definitely recommend the Hall & Garden!!!

The pricing was reasonable with the accessory that come with the price. They communicate well, very friendly and supportive, no hidden fees, very flexible with their time as well. Truly a hidden gem that needs more recognition!! Please please please if you are looking for a venue for any and all occasions do yourself a favor and book with Shafaii Hall and Garden or their Warehouse location! Both are extremely beautiful venues and they truly have everything you need to host your event. I booked their Hall and Garden for my wedding reception but honestly if I would have found them sooner I would have had my wedding ceremony there too in the beautiful outside garden area! My guest and I cannot stop talking about how beautiful everything was. And I have to give a huge thanks to the owners for making my dream wedding come true. They were so patient and helpful with the whole process. There was always someone there to help with set up and even with cleaning up during and afterwards. The venue itself also offers so many add ons, packages, and upgrades. They can help with decorations, catering, music, and photography. The best part is that they are a BYOB venue and you have full access to an amazing bar and kitchen. You have no idea how much that helped us! Marrying my husband was the best day of my life but choosing Shafaii as our venue made our day so much better. We will definitely continue to use their venue for our future large events like maybe our future baby shower!

Hidden Gem! Very Clean! Wide & Nicely decorated entrance. Beautifully set-up with great dance floor. My hostess had a band Such & Such ,they were Amazing & well worth the cost. The beverage bar had marble topping right off the buffet area. The buffet area led to the spacious garden set up with yard game & seating. I would Highly recommend! Where do I even begin, from the moment we made that very first call to the evening of our event everything was perfect. Linda shafaii made everything so easy and treated us like family not just another contract. My Daughters Quince was perfect and amazing. Ive used this hall twice, Last time was March 8, 2014. I absolutely loved it!! Alex and the other lady were so polite, professional and attentive. They made sure everything was exactly how I requested it. The hall is beautiful and it was being renovated so i guess now its better. The price was very reasonable for all the services I received. The venue was ready ahead of time, everything was like we had previous discussed in the contract. Overall, Ill have all my event here!

We filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau Shafaii Hall & Garden failed to honor wedding package details and prices signed upon September 1, 2011. In March 2012, we attended their open house to make some final decision. To our surprise, Shafaii had changed prices and packages and we were being billed with new prices. We had to keep reminding them of the original package we selected when we signed our contract. We also decided to add extra plates of food. We were assured it would be posted to our account. In May 2012, after making three large payments, I asked if the extra plates were indeed included and I was told they were not. I went to the office on May 12, 2012 to clarify the situation. I took my copy of the contract with me to be able to show the office what prices we signed on. There was a lot of confusion because of the offices failure to keep our account updated. Several items such as the cake and DJ, which were included in the package we selected when we signed, were never added to our account but we were being charged for the whole package. During the process, ____ went to speak to one of the owners. There was an altercation with the owner because he wanted to specifically bill us $250 for the use of two officers. I showed him in our package information that the package included officers(required w/alcohol). He kept saying that it was a misinterpretation on my part. I told him it was not a misinterpretation because it was clearly written in paper. He later went for Alex Shafaii who also came into the office. The discussion continued and I informed him about the other discrepancies and the lack of maintenance on my account. During the discussion, he threatened me by saying that if I persisted, he would make sure that only 150 guests entered the hall. I replied that I had no problem adhering to what was delineated in the contract. This made him mad and he then threatened to cancel our event and refund our money just two months before our wedding. When he wrote out the check, he demanded that I hand him MY copy of the original contract. I said I wouldnt to which he threatened to not give me the refund and cancel the event. I reluctantly handed him my copy and he refused to hand it back but I have found an invoice which does include the 2 officers. The owner responded to the complaint by alleging that I became unreasonable when they told me their maximum capacity was 100 and I wanted to have 150 guests. This is false. The information they provided here states 150 and when we signed the contract they said they WOULD accommodate 150. The guest list was never a concern. This is something Shafaii Hall and Garden made up. Their response has been rejected and we have chosen to keep the complaint
