We had an amazing time at Exit Lab Houston. We did a medium/hard room with a group of 12 year olds, it was challenging enough to keep them engaged the whole time!! The space is clean and well maintained and the staff was very professional.

Ive been here several times over the past few years and have always had a blast. My favorite part is that they have private bookings compared to other escape rooms. I dont know why most escape rooms in the US are public instead of private like in the UK . Highly recommend this place

This is our second time trying an escape room here. Our first room was Crazy Artist and the second one is HOTEL.We haven t liked the location and ambience of the rooms but atleast there were some puzzles in crazy artists so thought of trying a different room as we are in the area.Hotel room is a total disappointment though we finished it 15 minutes early. There are hardly any puzzles and it can be solved by one person ,so if you book for a group all others may sit and share thoughts . The rooms are so shabby and pale without any engaging atmosphere. We have tried many other different rooms but never felt workless like in HOTEL room . I wouldn t call it even a beginner level. It sounded like lack of creativity in creating puzzles . Any Escape room needs minimum number of puzzles to keep the group engaged. It lacks engaging abilities,purpose,continuity,surprises and different elements which are crucial for guest to feel wow. Never coming back for this location.

It is in the hood, outside looks sketchy, but staff and inside is excellent! My kids enjoyed the Nice List, the only Christmas-themed escape room in Houston in the summer. Lower priced than the other escape rooms, too! And a good waiting area and restrooms available. A+! Highly recommend! We will be back!

Had an excellent time in the Crazy Artist escape room. It was a bit challenging, only having two people, but we did it! We pick this location over various others because it was owned by a veteran. My husband and I are also veterans and love to support others. If were ever back in town, well definitely stop by again.

We had a really good time! This was my friends first time playing which was a little time consuming because she had no clue what to do with the clues, LOL. We played the beginner level Hotel Secrets and the more advanced Crazy Artists Workshop which was a little more time consuming for my group than I anticipated but still fun. Ivan was a great game master who kept us apprised of the remaining time and suggested we take a hint when he saw us stalled. I suggest beginners play escape room apps beforehand to get familiar with game concepts so as to maximize time in IRL escape rooms. A good time was had by all!

I took my family (group of 8) here and we had a blast. We had 4 kids aged 9-14 and 4 adults. It was the first escape room for 2 people. We did Hotels Secrets and it was great. We used our 3 hints and finished with 12 min to spare. Our guide was very friendly and explained everything well. Id definitely return to try their other rooms.

My daughter and I went on a whim and had a great time. The staff is friendly and the puzzles were great. Really recommend this escape room - we ve been to many places and this one was one of the best. My teenage kids and I went back and attempted each room. This place is so much fun. We did the Christmas themed escape room while I was recently visiting my friend in Houston. We brought her son who is around 10, and we all had a great time! The room was decorated really nicely, the puzzles were challenging but manageable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Would def recommend if you re looking for a fun, family friendly escape room!

I really enjoyed this Elf escape room. It was very whimsical and really gets you in the story. If you are a newbie like me ask for lots of hints especially at the beginning, because there are a LOT of puzzles to solve. Sadly we didn t finish, but our game master showed us the whole way to the finish after our time was up. We weren t even close to finishing! So ask for lots of hints early on unless you re an expert at these things. Overall, it was really fun!

The rooms we escaped from were well thought out and played in to the themes perfectly. The best thing about the experience was the host of the Exit Lab. He was super friendly and professional, very knowledgeable about the job and the escape rooms. Definitely will be back to do the other rooms!

Give this business a chance! We had a great time, figured out a way to escape from the zombies, the staff was kind and helpful. If you bring kids do not do the zombie one since it was scary, check the age appropriate one. I liked that only our family was in the room, no strangers. I would go again earlier during day hours since the location in Houston is not preferable for families, its a little dark (parking lot) and we went at 9pm. I do recommend!.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Exit Lab! When we first found the building I thought it was sketchy looking but they did say they were getting a new sign soon so that should certainly help! We did the room The Return and it was the first escape room we couldnt escape, and we have done a lot of escape rooms all over the US! Kudos guys, maybe someday well make it back for another shot. This place is wayyyyyy underrated! It was SO MUCH FUN! I ve been to other escape the rooms and while they have a nice set up the game itself does not compare to this experience! It was super fun very creative and was a great way to use our minds differently, great for icebreakers since some levels involve patience and teamwork. I was worried when I went into the hardest level but it was not tedious but actually natural brainwork! I m already planning on sending my relatives there I know they ll have a blast!

Parking was convenient, not a far walk from the lot, the lobby is cheery and welcoming. The employees explained all the rules well, and didn t make us nervous about asking for hints. The room was more elaborate than we thought it just kept going! Such fun! Nothing was difficult or confusing with a bit of help, and quite clever overall if I say so, we finished in time and was greeted at the end.

We stopped in for The Return as a family of 3 on the week before Christmas. The Return is very difficult and actually 2 rooms in 1 that can also be booked individually. We finished the first room, but probably needed another 15 to 20 minutes on the 2nd. Despite that, we had a great time. The puzzles were cleverly built. Ivan was helpful while preserving the challenge when we asked for clues. The best part of this place is that the bookings are private. This is the main reason why we chose this place over a couple others closer to where we were staying. We had such a great experience that we returned on Christmas Eve for Crazy Artist. We found the missing painting. Again, the puzzles were fun and challenging. Ivan was our game master. Well return next time we visit Houston.

5 star fun for my work team with a fantastic host at the Exit Lab! This place might be a best-kept secret. It is hard to find (Trust your phone when it tells you you have arrived!), but it s easy to enjoy once you are there. I bet a sign near the feeder-road entrance will be coming soon! Hint: if you see the picnic tables you are definitely in the right spot!!! The escape room was detailed enough to keep a group of educators thinking! We made it out ( with a bit of help and 3 minutes to spare!) I really liked the energy of our host and his helpful, playful spirit! Most of all, I loved seeing the joy in my teammates as we struggled through the challenge and worked together to make it all work! Yay for us!!!

For my friends bachelorette party we did the Zombie room and it was so much fun! It was a rather difficult room to escape, even as we had all done multiple escape rooms before, which made it even more enjoyable. The team there was ready for us when we got there, professional and helped take many photos afterwards to remember the event. Were newbies to the escape room game so we booked Exit Lab for my daughters 13th birthday and they had a blast! The game master was super friendly and helpful. Our teens loved the themes and the back story for the game your playing. 10/10 would recommend trying Exit Lab.

My husband and I had so much fun in the hotel escape room! This was our second escape room and it was definitely a challenge but we escaped & it was a great way to bond and have fun together. Definitely coming back to check out the other rooms!

Game masters were extremely nice and helpful. We did the hardest room and enjoyed it! There were a lot of puzzles but I like how each clues were used once. We did not have to scramble around to figure if the clue had to be used again. Really had a great time. 10/10 would come again.

The experience was EPIC! MYy family and myself had a blast!! The staff was AWESOME!! Highly recommended! But the biggest perk was yall are still alive because of us!!! We saved the world from becoming nasty flesh eating Zombies!! We will def b back!!!

We absolutely loved our experience here! The Zombie Bunker was the perfect combination of scary (but not too scary) and puzzling. The decorations and details in the room really made it extra fun. Our game master was great and helped us out of a few jams. It was just me and my fiancée in the room and we were proud that we were able to get out within a hour because it definitely was not easy! We d love to come back and check out a different room another time!

My granddaughter and I had a great time in the escape room. We didn t do very well, but it was our first experience in an escape room. It was well organized and set up, lots of fun trying to figure out all of the clues. Highly recommended.

Probably one of my favorite escape rooms!!! I have done around 20 escape rooms from Houston to California to DC, and I have to say the puzzles here are very impressive. We tried the Hotel Secret first and it was so cool, so we decided to play one more, which was the Crazy Artist. It was fantastic as well. My friends and I had a great time. Thank you Exit Lab Houston!

We had a great time in this challenging but do-able room (Zombie Bunker). As experienced escapers, we sometimes feel the games are too simple and you don t get your money s worth but this one toes the line between too hard and just right for 2 people who are looking for a challenge. I think a larger group would make it easier! Ivan was a great host and made it more engaging.

My first time at an escape room, but I went with 2 friends who had done them before. We did the Crazy Artist s Workshop. The rooms are smallish, so I wouldn t want a bunch of people in there. We had a blast with just 3 of us and managed to solve all the puzzles with some time to spare. I don t think I d enjoy doing these with strangers; it really takes teamwork and communication, so it s great with friends. The puzzles were fun, just hard enough to be a challenging, but certainly not impossible. There were a few odd red herrings, particularly for engineering brains that can make stuff do things they re not supposed to be able to do - but no more spoilers on that. It was fun, the game master was great. I hear some places have role-playing actors but I wouldn t really care for that, just let me get at those clues! Finding clues and solving the puzzles is where the fun is, and this place is great. Some very different types of things to solve; it makes you think. It s not just a bunch of combination locks and random keys. I ll come back.

This just took the prize for worst room we have ever played. (We played the zombie bunker) There were hardly any actual puzzles in the room. 1/2 of the props did not work even though we were doing it correctly and it felt like they were manually triggered. They were very clearly doing maintenance on the room and just decided to leave things open and exposed(including wire and bare plywood) while we played the game. I dont usally leave harsh reviews, but please dont waste your money on this escape room.
