My friends and I visited Houston for my fiancé s birthday. We visited Clutch distilling and were greeted politely by Theresa and Justin. They made us amazing cocktails and were very hospitable. For the tour, Eric, the owner, shared the beautiful history of his distilling business and treated just like family. We cannot wait for him to start shipping nationwide! Thanks for everything!

I was looking for a different place to take my husband for Father s Day and found this place through TikTok. I am so happy I decided this as one of our Father s Day spots. From the outside, you d never think this neatly crafted distillery was here. It is for sure a neighborhood gem. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. Kisha was working the bar and was very helpful suggesting a drink for us. She asked all the right questions and I selected the hibiscus drink and my husband got the spiced drink (sorry can t remember the names). They were mad with love and perfection. The upstairs of the distillery is uniquely designed and has local art to add to the flavor of the environment. They have the cutest sitting room so you can enjoy your drinks. We purchased a tour and Bruce, the tour guide, added to the atmosphere with his humor and knowledge. During the tour you get to taste all the rums and they are all made with love. You will learn more about it during the tour. The owner, Eric, is also very welcoming and doesn t shy away from his guests. It s definitely a place I would return to purchase rum and also bring my visitors.

Went to their first comedy show, theyre going to start doing this on a regular basis and it was great! The (3) Comedians were funny, the atmosphere was fun & inviting, and the service was excellent. The drinks were to die, for, A MUST GO and check out.

My fiancé and I went here for a distillery tour and we can not recommend it enough! The owner Eric is so sweet and explains how he started the business from the roots up. Bruce was a wonderful tour guide and goes above and beyond to get to know you and explain the history of the rum. Not to mention, the rum is AMAZING, would recommend any of their products, and we will be buying their spiced rum as a give away at our wedding. They also host small events and gatherings, so we ll definitely be taking advantage of that in the future!

Just got back from Aby s last tour it was amazing! I m under 21, so I obviously didn t partake in any samples, but the information (as well as the way she delivered it) was spectacular! I did a bit of research before I came, so I was kind of testing her knowledge, and she very much knew what she was talking about she matched me every time! Not only do I hope to come back soon, but now that I know about the volunteer opportunities, who knows? Maybe next time, one of y all will be leaving a review about a tour I gave you ;3

Me & husband had a Groupon for a tour & tasting. We went on a Saturday evening and it was quite dead, but that did not stop it from being great! Aby gave us great energy even tho it was just us 2! The story behind clutch is so heartwarming. We felt very welcomed and taken care of! Really some great quality rum! We each had a drink and played some board games as we waited for the tour to begin and the atmosphere is so chill and relaxing. We had a such nice time & plan on visiting again! I love finding places like clutch that are small but amazing quality, atmosphere, & service. :)

Loved my visit to this Black-owned distillery! Upon arrival, we were offered drinks to order at the bar that we could walk around and sip on during our tour. We got the passion rum punch that was made with their in-house rum, which was good! Eric, the owner and founder, & Bruce, our tour guide, were knowledgeable and very engaging during our tour and taste testing. Also, the place was beautiful! Loved the whole set up and aesthetic! Would recommend this gem to anyone looking for a date or friend outing!

Today I did a tour at Clutch Distillery with our tour guide Aby. She was amazing. Doing great things in the community and here at Clutch distillery. For $15, we were able to tour the facility, see the process of how the rum is made from start to finish as well as taste the 3 main rums that are made from the distillery. If you are in the Houston, Texas area I definitely recommend you taking a tour and get a behind the scene experience of what it takes to make Clutch rum.

Wife and I stopped by on a Friday. Must say we learned alot about the distilling process but more importantly we learned about the passion that the owner put into his brand. Every bottle has a story and Aby did a FANTASTIC job of verbalizing the owners passion. She herself exudes a lot of passion and excitement when telling the back story. I cant remember the lady behind the bars name but she was super Nicole and friendly as well. I HIGHLY recommend CLUTCH DISTILLING as a place to stop by take the tour and have a drink or 2. We came here to celebrate a bachelor party and had a great time. Great vibes, great drinks, and the host/bartenders were very friendly and provided excellent service. We were given a tasting tour by the owner who share a moving story behind the establishment while we re witnessed the behind the scenes magic. Omg!! This place is so amazing. The energy in the building is indescribable. So warm and clean! The staff is amazing. Everyone is so friendly and kind hearted. Great place for events. The drinks were GREAT! I had my bridal shower here. They allowed me to make a signature drink which was delicious. Through the process they re were patient and helpful. Love that a portion of everything spent goes towards the lupus foundation. The owner has an amazing story to how clutch became which explained why the energy was so welcoming and peaceful. Definitely will be back to host other events. Definitely a hidden gem. I could go on and on but I m sure I would run out of space in this post. Excellent rum from a new distillery. The rum is smooth and flavorful on its own, FAR better than usual top shelf rum most people are familiar with. Cocktails are carefully crafted to fit the flavors of the rum, though simple drinks like an old fashioned stand on their own as well. Super-friendly staff are patient and answer all questions with expertise and knowledge. The tour is short (distilleries dont have much to show) but very informative, especially if you ask questions. Totally a hidden gem in The Heights producing a wildly underrated liquor. A fun place to hang out with really nice cocktails.

Eric is super nice, and very accommodating!! I had a birthday meet up at Clutch, and there were about 18 of us. The parking was great, very easy. The space is so kool, there s a restroom upstairs and downstairs and both were very clean! We ordered drinks, even a few taste testers, and then played games in the game area, a few people sat outside on the balcony which wraps around the building for a kool view!! When it was time for our tour Abby lead us downstairs and started off with how it all started! She is super funny, and friendly!! The tour is very informative, and you get to sample the molasses they use to make the Rum!! After the tour we had samples of the different rums they offer with more detail about the names of each! Everyone had a great time!! Check out the tour, and the drinks! I had a Rum fashion and the flavors were beautifully bouncing around in my mouth! Watching them make the drinks is exciting as well! I can t spoil all the surprises!! If you re thinking about it, stop thinking definitely go check out Clutch Distilling!!! It s a hidden gem!!

Outstanding rum distillery in Houston TX. This place rocks. The owner/distiller is a superb raconteur and passionate about his product. Hes of Barbados descent, so rum is in his blood. They have regular and spiced rum available, and make fine cocktails with both. The entire staff is fantastic. Highly recommend this place.

They have a white and a spiced rum. The spiced rum has a licorice aftertaste. While Im not a fan of licorice my husband is and enjoyed it. I had the passion fruit rum drink and my husband had the dark and rumy. Both drinks were enjoyable. They are, also, raising money for lupus. They give you fried plantains to enjoy. Stop by and enjoy!

Eric is a personable and highly intelligent man in the distilling industry. The 24 Karat and the Chandelier Rum are THE BEST rums I ve ever had the pleasure to taste. Disappointing. We came from out of town just to patronize this place. We called prior to arrival to make sure they were open because when we arrived, the establishment seemed closed. When we went inside the employee was still getting the place opened up. We came for a tour and she told us we can t do the tour because the owner does it and will not be available until after 6:30pm. I wish that was advertised or told to us when we called. Only thing we were offered was to play board games and look at the art work.

They make falernum liqueur from scratch using Clutchs Chandelier rum, and the master distiller spares no expense in not only his rum, made from all natural raw sugar, but also in trying to provide an outlet of creative support for all walks of Houston Artists.
