Wow, made magic happen. You can have freedom or money when facing a felony, but not both. Go ahead and pay the extra up front instead of trying with a cheaper lawyer first. It will be worth the investment and cost you about the same in the long run. She got both my felony and misdemeanor cases dismissed after a long hard fought battle. She is the real deal. I had to make this lengthy. This amazing woman took my case 2 weeks before trial, gave me so much info and called/texted me numerous times even before she was hired! I was looking at 5-99 years, no probation for something I wasnt even around for because I got screwed by the system, hired the one and only Mekeisha Walker. 6 months later, there was no trial, no nothing, she was extremely informative and communicative the entire way through. Dismissed. DISMISSED??!! I went from a minimum of 5 to DIMSISSED!!! All I can say is that Mekisha fought for me and my cases! She got one felony case dropped and two years probation for another felony case I had. Even after she got paid she still made sure she was thorough with my cases to make sure she gathered enough evidence to get my cases dismissed, and that meant everything to me because some attorneys get paid and just don t care after. My interactions with Mekisha were genuine. She talked to me like I was a human who just made a couple mistakes. She didn t talk to me like I was another criminal who paid her to represent them. She always reassured me. Even a simple pat on my back when I was in front of the judge was enough to calm my nerves in such a nerve wrecking moment. After my court hearings she stayed around to talk to me and explain everything to help me get a better understanding instead of just rushing off to the next court room and I appreciated that so much. She s also attentive. Mekisha listened to me but not only did she listen, she HEARD ME. She advocated for me. She always made sure to respond to me when I would check for updates. Even if it wasn t in that moment because she was busy she would always communicate with me and get right back to me as soon as she got the opportunity. I am not allowed to provide a higher rating than 5 stars, but am able to provide this written review. Ms Walker was hired to defend a very close friend in a criminal assault case that included a violence protection order. I live in Maryland and my friends daughter-in-law researched lawyers on the internet. We just had a hunch she would be the right attorney and we were right. Ms Walker spent a substantial amount of time on the phone, texting, and email with us - several times a week. I estimate at least 50 hours just with me. She was patient and empathetic, and available. Over several weeks we were able to work with her to put together a comprehensive grand jury package. The package contained character references, evidence and most importantly a silver bullet report from a private investigator. She obtained body cam footage from the investigating officers that showed they were uncertain about the guilt of my friend at the time of her arrest. The prosecutir was unwilling to dismiss the charges based upon this excellent package, but, when the package was presented to the grand jury they refused to indict and the case was over.

You will never understand the feeling of being accused of something you didnt do. Its even worse when those accusations come with a felony charge & possible jail time. Mekisha has represented me on 2 cases over the past eleven yrs. & both were dismissed. What I love best about her is her diligence & how responsive she is. She listened to me. There was a time early on that I started a new job, and just tired of going to court & missing work at my new job. I was ready to sign for probation and get it over with. Mekisha said lets just wait, lets reset again, were going to get this dismissed. And by gosh, it got dismissed! Her diligence & faith in my innocence kept her trying to keep my record clean & ensure I didnt have to do any time in jail or pay fines. I cant thank her enough! Mekisha was recommended by a friend that had the same type of offense as myself. A DWI. My friend explained the research she did when hiring Mekisha and not only did Mekisha go above and beyond, her price point was unbelievable!!! When speaking with lawyers literally 5 times her price, they stated they would not be willing to do as much for a case as she does. I worked with her for months. She kept close eye on anything and everything related to my case, and admittedly, I made unlawful mistakes during the process that added more work on her part and extended the court process. But Mekisha did not add any additional fees for my mistakes. Mekisha went through an extensive process to get a dismissal for my case. She had to get my judge changed, which was work on her part and even had to make a deal with our new judge to get me into a program that, upon successful completion, rewarded me a dismissal. There was no denying my guilt in this case. There was no way that guilt was questionable on my part. I was undeniably guilty. After over a year of her hard efforts, my case was dismissed. DISMISSED!!! She truly exceeded my expectations going into this process. And the amount of money I am saving from not having to pay for an SR22, the annual fee on my license, not to mention the priceless effect the dismissal has on my background check, more than pays for her fee. I literally do not have 1 negative thing to say about my experience with this law firm. Truly above and beyond my expectations!!! I honestly don t think there is a better choice at any price! I hired Ms. Walker to represent me and I could not be more impressed. She is extremely service oriented and always had time to answer my questions and concerns - and I had a LOT of them! No matter how trivial my question, she always found time to get back to me in an expeditious manner. Being on defense in our legal system is an intimidating experience but Ms. Walker always had the right words of encouragement to set me at ease. She walked me through my process expertly. As my case was reset a number of times, I had the opportunity to watch her interact with officials in court and attorneys on the other side of the aisle on several occasions.
