I interviewed 3 different attorneys before hiring Jack B. Carroll & associates. I met with Phil Stephenson & he was the only attorney that truly made me feel like I had a chance of a positive & speedy resolution to my case; the other 2 attorneys I interviewed said it d be 2+ years. Here we are less than 3 weeks after interviewing Phil, & hiring him- and all charges have been dropped & dismissed!!! Within a couple hours of signing the contract for representation, Phil had already contacted the DA s office and other witnesses. He didn t waste a second getting to work on my case. Another thing I LOVED about working with them is they give you their direct cell phone numbers, and tell you If you have questions about your case, or if you are just feeling anxious and need someone to talk you off the ledge: call me or text me, I ll get back to you asap. And it was TRUE. Every text I sent, was met with an almost instant response! There was no waiting for a secretary to relay the message and get back to me hours, or days later! Mr Carroll did by far the best work on my father s case. He did all the work that was needed, I didn t have to worry as much thanks to him. My case was a serious felony and to tell you the truth I was pretty shook up. I m a rancher and have always obeyed the law and never thought this could happen to someone like me. Jack always took my calls or returned them and was always up-beat, he made me feel good and right before trial he told me the case was a weak one and he was right because the prosecutor offered to drop it to a misdemeanor. I asked him should I take it? Once again he told me the case was weak, and that he thought the police were lying and asked, did you do it? I said I m innocent. We had a jury trial and they came back in 8 MINUTES with a not guilty! Jack did everything he said he would and I think as far as lawyers go he s as good as it gets. I m thinking of adopting him and leaving him my ranch!

My husband was charged with a very serious crime and the first lawyer we hired tried to get him to take a plea bargain for prison. We were refered to Mr. Carroll. He did everything he said he would and we could always talk to him when we called-he never got angry. The case was dismissed right before a jury trial. My husband would be in prison if we stayed with the first lawyer. One thing i noticed was the way the judge, lawyers and others treated him, the amount of respect shown made us happy everytime we were in court.

On this very day today, I am so excited to say that Jack B. Carroll & Associates is a top law firm! Phil worked great with myself, was on top of every situation of my case. In conjunction with his associate Mr Jack, my case was DISMISSED!!!! I was charged with burglary of habitation, which in the state of Texas is 2nd degree felony. Court 338 is a very strict judge. But with the help of Mr Phil, helped modify my curfew and charges while my case was pending. Phil is a very knowledgeable lawyer, knows every chapter of the law & will advise 24/7. I was falsely charged with a horrible crime and i interviewed several firms before hiring Jack and Phil. They dont advertise, a close friend referred them, the other lawyers were from the internet. They have a remarkable number of not guilty jury verdicts, the cases were easy to verify because they listed the court and case number, none of the other lawyers provided that information. Jack is very well connected and of the 3 different judges involved in the case all seemed delighted to see Mr. Carroll. Phil is extremely sharp and personable and the young prosecutor treated him with great respect. I thought my life was over but my case was dismissed after a long hard fought battle. I really liked Phil (Jacks associate) a lot. He has a good balance of legal logic and human compassion. Its hard to have both when you practice law. Hes also excellent at communication. As far as Jack is concerned, I think people mistake his no nonsense attitude for all sorts of negative things but the guy is top notch. I think they make a good pair. I was charged with a serious felony a little over a year ago, I chose not to go the route of a court appointed and find my own. I simply googled defense lawyers and I found a different attorney who was TERRIBLE. I ended up firing her and I then found Jack. From the get go they were professional and honest. Phillip is the Associate attorney who helped me the entire time. Phillip was always on time and always up front with me on the facts and what would be the best route for me to take. He knew sometimes when we met after a scheduled hearing I was un easy but he always assured me it would be okay, and it was. Phillip fought for a vigorous 10 months on my case and kept me from having to do even 1 day in jail bc he believed that I was innocent. If I ever had a question I could text or call him or jack and they would always answer. If you re facing a serious charge and don t know where to begin I highly recommend starting with them. They will not let you down. They were also very understanding when it came to finances and let me pay as we proceeded what I could until I paid them off. Definitely one of the best defense lawyers I have ever seen!!!!!!!!! Also- I read ALL the reviews good and bad. With everything in life you re going to get good and bad responses. Not everybody will be pleased with everybody and every service. I can PERSONALLY say that out of the 10 months I worked with Phillip and Jack not ONE time was I displeased with their office and I was a very VERY needy client.

A family member ran into some trouble. Facing possible long jail sentence. We didnt know who to trust in these matters. We took a chance on Jack. Best decision we ever did. Jack works all hours night and day. Case was time sensitive and court started next morning. Jack visited with us after normal business hours just to help us. Jack showed up at court next morning and got to work. Long story short, he got the case settled down to deferred ajudication with a non guilty verdict. No jail time, no guilty conviction. I had an argument with my girlfriend and was charged with felony family violence in the first degree. I was going to lose everything and didnt know where to turn. An angel (my girlfriend!) hired Mr. Carroll. Jack walked me thru the legal process and was always patient with me. Only did a consultation over the phone, but was told by him that my charge SHOULD have been much worst. Is he omniscient? Then proceeding to tell me how important and popular he was and therefore charged high fees. My impression was of a self aggrandazing and greedy lawyer who seems to only care about how much money is in it for him, and not about defending his clients. Would definitely not recommend.

Called mr carroll on friday on some regarding some information about the final terms on my differed probation including what rights were restored and what i can and cannot due, he told me to call him back Saturday which i did and he had all my information with answers to everything i had asked , he doubled assured me on everything and he was nice enough to not even charge me since they were only questions even though i had not used him for my case from the beginning really nice person and knows his stuff gives solid real answers. Earlier, at dinner, me and a few friends talked about how theyre trying to destroy you. Its almost like theres a second coming of, the now disbarred, Andy Nolen hiding out behind the scenes, being the best dishonest lawyer he can be. When my brother got arrested I though he was finished, and had reached his last straw, until we met Jack. Its nothing like having a family member entangled with the criminal justice system, even worse, locked up in jail with a denied bond for something he didnt do. When we finally got the money to pay Jack, we fired the last lawyer, we started to see results. First and foremost, getting my brother a bond. Theyll let you sit in the Harris County Jail for years if you dont sign for time. Im just glad we found a good lawyer. If we had kept our last lawyer, which I will not name out of decency, he would has certainly ended up at TDC, rotting away. Merry Christmas Jack! We love you!

Mr. Carroll is one of the best attorneys available in Houston.. I was charged with a DUI with Serious Bodily Injury and Leaving the Scene. I was facing a possible ten year sentence. He worked with the prosecutor to get me a plea of 10 days along with 5 years probation. The Judge denied that plea stating it was too lenient and he wanted the minimum which was over 2 years. Then when everything seemed hopeless and I spent my last days preparing for a possible prison sentence he came out and fought through all of the Judges arguments and secured the original plea deal. It was amazing to see a lawyer so dedicated to making sure his client had a fair sentence and a second chance. I would like to thank Mr. Carroll for all of his hard work and dedication, he is truly a skilled professional. I certainly recommend him to anyone having legal trouble.
