Went today w intention of using the Groupon. Never had a problem w it there before. Everyone was always nice and it was fun w my son. Today, we were matter of factly told no at 1230 pm. You must purchase the Groupon at least 24 hours in advance, so no. The young man said it would be more than double the price. The manager was busy talking w some other workers, understandable post Beryl. We said wed never go back and we mean it. Place is looking dated and the arcade only halfway functions w very few choices. Well pass, permanently .

I went to Emerald Bowl after 7pm...Really great vibe...parking lit was well lit...security was a plus, the staff was friendly and professional. The wings from the kitchen were great, the drinks from the bar were really good and it was clean. I honestly didnt expect the great experience I had...Ill be going back!

I do not know how or why this place has good reviews!!! I am disgusted i walked in with my 4 year old they were smoking marijuana and just flat out ratchet inside of a bowling alley ! On top of that finally make our way to the counter because people crowded the door way just lounging and smoking to only be told that we could not use the kids bowl free today and that it was on the app i look on the app it says nothing like that and would not refund me my 2 pass adult admissions the guy did not care at all no solutions nothing keep that money never coming here again I can t believe they recommended this place for children to come absolutely not!!!

We haven t bowled since moving to Sugar Land almost two years ago so it was nice finding a traditional, old school bowling alley that wasn t too far from home. The morning staff were great. Got us going in no time and our family had a great and fun time. We also used a Groupon which saved us some $ for our family of 6. The place seems well kept, plenty of parking and the lanes weren t dry at all. Looking forward to bowling here again.

The staff are very nice and is exactly what would be described as an old-school traditional bowling alley. It s hard to get a lane whenever a league is playing. Prices have been raised to about $5-$7 per game or $35-$45 per hour depending on the time. Too expensive, will have to find a cheaper place to go now.

I incorrectly assumed that a bowling alley located in the middle of Alief, would be cheaper than the big box bowling alleys. They are not, they just dont have the benefits that come with the fee at bigger places. Kind of upsetting. Maybe bring down the prices some of run a promotion some time.

Savannah was very helpful in planning and set-up for additional items I requested and the day of staff, Bao & Andre, were INCREDIBLE! Thank you for helping make my son s birthday so special! We paid $40 for an hour but only received 30 mins due to closing early but was told if we wanted more time we would have to pay additional. The whole experience was terrible due to the Asian girl at the front desk. She was very rude and told us we werent entitled to more time just because we ask for it. but we literally PAID for it. Based off my personal experience and the other reviews Ive read, the customer service here will be the cause of Emeralds downfall.

I had a very unfortunate experience at Emerald Bowl on 10/14/2023. My family and I were having a great time bowling initially. But our food was taking forever to come out, even though we ordered it as soon as we arrived. We paid for an hour worth of bowling and we realized that we werent going to receive our food before our time was up. I went to the front desk and explained my situation to them. It didnt seem fair that we would not get the opportunity to eat our food during the hour that we bowled. I asked them if there was anything they could do about extending the time. The front desk said no, so I asked to speak with a manager. I approached the manager, Mary Jo, very politely with all smiles and explained my situation to her. I told her that it was taking quite long for the food to come out and was wondering if we could get a 30 minute extension on our time because thats how long the cafe said it would take for the food to come out. Mary Jo said that it is not her responsibility that the cafe is taking too long to make our food and there was nothing she would do about it. I explained to her that if she is the manager, she bears some responsibility over it. She then added that she would also not be refunding us our money either. I never wanted a refund, Id rather your establishment keep the money, I requested 15-30 minutes of extra bowling time for our poor experience. Then Mary Jo simply walked away. Which is something Ive never experienced in polite conversation. As she was walking away she also said that she was going to get security to escort us out. Once again, a surprising escalation to polite conversation. What surprised me the most is that when the security guard came he began to deescalate the situation that Mary Jo caused. Its surprising that he had great customer service and negotiation skills. Quite honestly, he might as well have been the manager! He then told me that this situation of the cafe taking too long to make the food happens constantly. And he also said that Mary Jo always reacts the way she does. He explained to us the policy on how we would get our money back, which would require us to come back the next day. Once again, amazing conflict resolution and an understanding of the process of the bowling alley. Mary Jo was quite literally hiding away from us instead of talking to us. What amuses me the most is that me and my family were discussing making this our regular spot, as this was the first time we were here. We were talking about bringing friends and family along, but we wont be doing that any longer. As for me, Im out $65 dollars for the bowling but I guess thats how life goes.

We went 06/04/2023. Disgusting service especially the food. We originally bought food to take in since they used to allow it literally less than a month ago but all of a sudden we couldn t anymore due to HR SUPPOSEDLY. So we decided to get something and the cook was wiping down counter tops while being on the phone using same gloves for it all, including to charge. Got a refund and they got upset since we complained. They then stopped our lane to bowl after 30 mins of already having a 5th player( 3y/o TODDLER) come on now. Then the lady came to our table saying the 1 canned drink we had needed to go in the trash because they don t sell it. As if they sold something way better and clean compared to it. Saying she wasn t going to leave until it was thrown away. Hire better employees and preferably let others bring food it s a lot cleaner than eating there!!!!!!!!! If anyone knows corporates number I ll be glad to call ASAP!!! Or find it myself either or!
