This review is for their catering service. I work for a government entity we are required to receive numerous quotes before choosing a vendor. We found Gebbys BBQ to be reasonably priced compared to many other Austin BBQ restaurants. From the beginning, both Chris (The Owner and Pit Master) and Elizabeth to be extremely professional and prompt. Any questions or changes needed on the quote, they were on top of it. The day of the event, they arrived early as they said they would and set up quickly. The aroma of the food was wonderful throughout our venue. We had a handful of vegetarian/vegan employees and they offered a smoked vegetable tray with corn tortillas as one of their options. The food we chose was a 3 meat plate with 3 sides and cookies for the dessert. We chose Brisket, Turkey and Sausage. For the sides, we had Gouda Mac and Cheese, Creamed Corn and Beans. Everything was extremely delicious and the feedback I gathered from numerous employees was nothing but positive reviews on the food. They even allowed us to KEEP the leftover food! This was awesome as we had a few bbq quotes that STATED that we could not keep the leftover food! Overall, our experience with them far exceeded our expectations and I would recommend them for your catering needs!

Had their food for our wedding and rehearsal dinner back in October 2023 and it was amazing! They let us do a free tasting of the food and the owner was so nice! All the food was great and everyone loved it. Even gave us extra food for free after our tasting to take home with us. When they forgot the bbq sauce at the rehearsal dinner and some extra food they travelled to and from their store, dropped it off, and didn t charge us for the extra food we had added to the order. They are so kind and generous. If they had a store in Houston I d be going there all the time!

Best BBQ ever. I have used Gebbys for catering at work AND for my wedding. Our wedding guests were talking about how delicious the food was even weeks after our wedding. We brought some of the leftovers for our meals that night and the next day, and rarely do leftovers ever taste good (to me), but Gebbys is tasty the day of AND the day after. We ordered the chicken, brisket, beans, mac and cheese, salad, and smoked veggies. Their customer service is just as amazing as their food. Elizabeth is swift with communication and is not only professional, but kind. Chris is determined to make everyones experience a wonderful one, and for us he was successful. Our two children joined us (we had asked if that would be ok), and he had prepared food for them to try as well. Their team was quick, professional, and kind. We highly recommend them for not only weddings, but work events as well!

Tried it out today at Progress coffee and got the chopped brisket since they were out of sliced. The brisket wasnt as tender as it should be. The chopped wasnt as chopped or saucy as it should be either. Bun was not warmed up which would have made it better. The Mac and cheese was lacking cheese for sure. We ate it but not great, unfortunately. Progress was cool and the taco trailer wasnt opened yet so this was only food option. Dude serving the food seemed kinda out of it

The Gebbys food truck is currently parked at Progress Coffee in Buda, TX (as of Sept 7th, 2023). My friend and I swung by for lunch today, the overall experience was *super* friendly and laid back. I dont usually write reviews, but the food from this place was SO GOOD. I got The Big John and a Hatch Taco with brisket. The taco was crispy and fresh, and the brisket mixed well with the green hatch chili jam. The sandwich had a toasted buttery bun and sausage/brisket. The flavors here were explosive. If I come back to Austin, Im going to remember this place.

Gebby s catered my wedding on Oct 8th and we still can t believe how great the food was! We had their food truck out come out for us and feed about 140 guests with sausage, brisket, bbq sauce, bread, beans, corn and all the the fixings. Their staff was very friendly and knew exactly all of your needs before you even had to ask! They were such a great addition to our big day We will definitely be hiring them again for other events, as well as going back to their original location for lunch/dinner when I can!!

Gebbys recently catered my daughters wedding for 135 people @ Rambling Rose Ranch. Everything was great, both service and food, especially my favorite, the brisket & mac & cheese! Gebby s catered a family wedding recently, and they did a fantastic job! They were friendly, helpful and professional. The food was great, but the brisket was my favorite of all DELICIOUS! I don t ever get excited about brisket, but this one was so moist, TENDER and flavorful I can t wait to have it again. While everything else tasted great, I can t say much in detail because once I tasted the brisket, that s all I really wanted to eat so I filled up on it. Our family was definitely pleased with Gebby s on every level, and we will definitely use them again if we have the chance!

I cannot speak highly enough about Gebbys catering! I hired Gebbys food truck for my wedding and they absolutely did not disappoint. My friends and family all raved about their BBQ and thought the food truck really added to the Austin experience (none of us are from Austin). Elizabeth, the head of catering, was extremely attentive, timely, and so very sweet. Chris, the owner, reached out himself about the truck set-up. Seeing as how my venue was at a rented Airbnb in Leander, Chris came a day early to set up the food truck, making sure everything would be ready on time (traffic). Chris and another Gebbys employee did an amazing job with presentation and stayed until everyone had a chance for seconds. I have gotten so many compliments for using Gebbys. I highly recommend them. Thank you for helping make our wedding day so perfect!

If you haven t had Gebby s BBQ, you re missing out! Not only have I visited Gebby s food trucks, but I ve also ordered catering for the office. You will be the office star if you order Gebby s Catering! It doesn t disappoint and it was the perfect option for a recent office lunch during COVID. They pulled up the food truck outside our office and individually packaged everything down to the pickles/onions, sauce, and even the bread. Now to the mouth-watering delicious food. I m personally a brisket lover and their brisket is a star. So tender, juicy, lean and in my opinion way better than Franklin s. Plus, you don t have to wait hours in line. Everyone in the office loves the pulled pork and chicken diablos. And the mac-n-cheese OMG!!! I could eat 2 helpings of that creamy cheesy goodness. Bottom line you need to order some Gebby s BBQ! Ok full disclosure I want this truck to do well because the people were nice but the meat is dry, expect no pickles or onions or any other sides for a >$10 sandwich. You are getting a store bought bun with precooked meat on it. A lot of money considering what you get. Don t let this bbq define Austin. Spend your food truck money on something more impressive.

We came here from Louisiana while evacuating from Hurricane Delta. Decided that we wanted BBQ before we left and this place was close to our hotel! We were not disappointed, Chris was very accommodating and very pleasant! It was the most amazing barbecue I ve ever had! The chicken was so tender and moist I wanted the recipe to know how to keep my chicken that moist when I cook it. The beef brisket was absolutely amazing and out of this world! It was so tender you could just cut it with a fork. I also had the macaroni and cheese and it was the creamiest and richest macaroni and cheese with a nice hint of pepper jack cheese in it that made it amazing as well. Add all that together with a little bit of the spicy barbecue sauce and you will have the most incredible flavors in your mouth from Gabbys barbecue. I will definitely with out a doubt go back again and would highly recommend you stop by and get some for yourself if you are in the area!! You won t be disappointed.

I had Gebby s BBQ when I was in Austin and it was absolutely amazing. I live near Memphis TN and I would say that Gebby s is better than any BBQ I ve had in the Memphis area (or elsewhere). The Brisket, pork, and chicken are so tender and juicy and the Mac and cheese is off the chain!! The BBQ sauce is excellent as well. I ordered some online last week for the Super Bowl and it was delivered quickly and the reheat instructions included were super easy! I would highly recommend Gebby s BBQ if you are ever in Austin or just want to have some shipped to your home!!

Gebbys catered a lunch at our office 2 weeks ago. I was so impressed with the food, I had them cater a family reunion over the Thanksgiving holiday. It could not have been easier. From ordering to set up was a breeze. The staff was very helpful. The food...... OMG. The food was wonderful! Brisket melts in your mouth and not a bite of fat in the whole order. The chicken was so tender and the pulled pork was delicious and lean. The BBQ sauce pairs perfectly with all the meats. The sides were very good but the Mac and Cheese is the BEST. I had family from all over the country here and they all said that they could not believe how good it was. Gebbys is now my go to for any of my catering needs. The price vs amout of product was perfect. Everyone ate lots and I still had some left over. I also just found out they ship!!!! So we will be ordering for home deliveries now. Highly recommend for ease, price and DELICIOSNESS!

We hired Gebby s BBQ to cater a decent sized Christmas in July party at our Home in Cedar Park. Let us just say the food was absolutely delicious, the delivery was easy, price per plate was perfect for us and their serve was top notch! Not having to run around and cook for 45+ was amazing. Party was a blast and the food was basically gone at the end. This was a 3rds and 4ths kind of situation. The Brisket and Mac and Cheese... so good! Working with Elizabeth and Chris was great. Gebbys catered my wedding last weekend, and I sincerely dont have a single complaint. We had brisket, pulled pork, and chicken, with the mac and cheese, cream corn, and beans as the sides. I had some of everything and loved all of it. Our guests raved about the food, and the pricing was extremely reasonable. Mild smoke flavor. I am guessing white oak smoked on a Ole Hickory pit with wood gas mix.Had the brisket taco with marble cut. Meat very tender good peppery bark but lacked a strong smoked flavor that I crave.BBQ is a very subjective cuisine and employees and owners alike should educated about bbq and the wood they smoke off of. Worth a try if in the area but I will not return for the simple fact they fell the need to keep the type of wood they smoke off of a secrete.

Service was a little too fast, which tells me everything was most likly presliced and being held hot. so we Should have checked the food before we left. Completely overcooked brisket, had no rub or seasoning of any kind. Bland, dry and it was clear they do not have any quality control and will serve this poor product to anyone. The sausage tasted old and possibly rancid, we both immediately spit it out as soon as we took a bite. It is so bizarre to me how places like this get 4.6 stars and its clear they have lost the plot. CONSISTENCY. Retrain your staff and hold people accountable for this. This is a serious business with peoples health at risk. Most cooks need to be checked every so often because their standards slip and put out poor quality product or have poor hygiene practices. Do not waste your money here, it might also be a health risk. I am a professional cook, I do this for a living and its tough for me to go out to eat. But this was one of the most pathetic attempts at Texas bbq and food in general I have ever experienced. As I am typing this after eating the food here I am starting to feel slightly ill. We decided not to eat the rest and basically just threw $30 in the trash. Thanks.

They are always spot on, Brisket is always Tender and moist, pulled pork taco is a go to item and you cant miss out on the gouda mac & cheese!!! Love the fact that they use Certified Angus Beef!!! For catering they are tops, great pricing and the service is fantastic, we have used them the last 2 years for our employee lunch and it has been outstanding!!

We used Gebby s to cater our wedding for 265 people on 10/20. They did a fantastic job! I ve never heard more people compliment food at a wedding in my life! They were extremely easy to work with and we couldn t have been more pleased. Highly suggest the brisket, Mac and cheese and the chicken diablo.

My go-to BBQ Favorite. This place definitely does need a 5 star, and definitely deserves it. I have tried the following: - Brisket get the extra moist. Literally melts in your mouth, the cut was perfect. - Ribs generous cut, the flavor and seasoning is perfect very flavorful taste. Ribs fell off the bone! - Pulled pork was moist and very flavorful. -. The Gouda Mac & Cheese was fantastic must say best Mac & Cheese I have had. - Definitely get the creamed corn! The taste is wonderful. -The Seasoned Chicken WOW! I am definitely a Brisket or Ribs guy but the wife convinced me to try the chicken and I must say the best seasoned chicken I have ever had! Hands down!! now Gebby s BBQ has me adding chicken to my orders.. Writing this review is making my mouth water of just remembering the fantastic food these guys serve. Their food was okay. I ordered via UberEats. But the second time I tried to order they just rejected my order. Im assuming the order was rejected because they actually read my note and notices the allergic to dairy comment. -- Which explains why my stomach was upset the day I had their BBQ. Id be VERY cautious about order from here if you have an allergy.

Today was Food-Truck Friday where I work (Amplify building at Parmer & MoPac) and Gebbys BBQ was the featured truck. OMG, Im a fan. I was thinking Id order the chicken sandwich but the guy in front of me got a brisket sandwich and when I saw that, I knew I needed to eat it. I got my order, put a few pickles on top and some of their BBQ sauce and headed back to my office. The sandwich was HUGE so I cut it in half with a plastic knife. The brisket slices, about 1/2 thick, cut like butter. The bun was sweet. The pickles were perfect. The sauce is my new favorite. This was the best brisket sandwich Ive ever had and Im a patron of Elgin and Lockhart BBQ. The smoke ring was beautiful, the (lean) brisket was unbelievably tender and flavorful. One of my co-workers ordered a pulled pork sandwich with slaw and absolutely raved about it. Another ordered their Gouda Mac & Cheese and was an instant fan. Ive been looking for a caterer to cater a birthday milestone for me this summer and I do believe Ive found the perfect one! Thank you, Gebbys, for a wonderful lunch today!

My three daughters and I love Gebbys BBQ! Everything we have tried has been absolutely delicious! The pulled pork is fabulous-- so tender with the right amount of smokiness-- the flavor of the pork comes through and shines... makes a fabulous sandwich! The ribs are awesome... so tender and tasty-- meat right fell off the bone...my little one couldnt get enough. The brisket is my favorite- so lean, moist and flavorful! The smoked sausage is so tasty with the perfect amount of spice! Weve also tried the 4 cheese macaroni which my daughters ate right up! Weve never tasted a macaroni and cheese more delicious! Whether you want to eat it there, take it home or cater an event-- you wont be disappointed!! Gebbys BBQ is our favorite without a doubt!

I have eaten at Gebbys several times and I have never been disappointed. I have tried most everything on the menu and all cooked perfectly. My personal favorites are brisket and pulled pork. The brisket is always moist and damn near melts in you mouth. The pulled pork is not over cooked or too fatty. The sides: cream corn is a must along with Gouda mac n cheese. The other sides are all good but those are my favorite. For my job, I do a lot of catering and figured if I liked Gebbys why not give them a try. They have not let me down in the least. On time, everything was set up, and ready to go when I arrived. I have not had one negative thing said about the food or service, in fact just the opposite. People asked me where their restaurant is located and what else is on the menu. Do yourself a favor and go try Gebbys you wont be disappointed!!

Just Awesomeness! I love to Q, but i honestly hate to eat Gebbys cause I have to go home with tail between legs knowing I still have a long way to go. We started visiting Gebbys after my wifes company used them to cater some mid to large size events. The food and service are second to none. Gebbys Q always exceeded expectations. Great little BBQ spot. Moist and tender brisket with nice smoke rings. A nice sausage with a bit of a kick. Its a bit of a shame it seems to be criminally overlooked, in a town that wasnt called Austin this would be the best BBQ in town.
