I went there last night for a quick glass of wine. I ordered the brussel sprout salad. It was OUT OF THIS WORLD good! They really did a great job with the mixing of flavors. Wow- really great food.

No dark beers in summer, which I personally would disqualify them from using the name Beer Garden. There is one climbing structure for kids (the half-sphere made of triangles), but byo toys. Also, we requested a half-pint of cider and was served a full pint. Not coming back.

This would be a great hang out for friends who want good food in a relaxing environment. There are not very many places in the spring branch area that I can visit that don t become rowdy and obnoxious. It seems to be family friendly as well. I would definitely go back for the food the service and atmosphere.

Felt like a hidden gem. They had a mid-sized patio that was pretty full, to be expected on such a beautiful day. Very kids and pet friendly, but the kids area was at the far end of the patio so it felt contained and not really disruptive. I just really liked the vibe. They had some good draft selections as well as a variety of cans - cider, seltzer, local beers. The food was good, I really enjoyed the chicken tacos. The burgers were a big hit with the rest of the table.

Generally, we really like this place, is a nice hidden gem only known by locals with decent food and nice selections of drinks, both kids and pets friendly (although with the state of the kids area I m not so sure anymore), when the weather is good, we always enjoy going there and always recommend it to friends. However, this last time it was kind of sad to go there. We brought our current foster dog, which unfortunately is kind of a big guy with a loud voice. The place was ¾ reserved for 3:30 although there were like 3 of the reserved tables empty. The only table available was the one next to the indoor bar, we had our dog on the leash but unfortunately it kept barking at people going in and out. Now, I should have left the premises as soon as noticed the face of disgust of the waitress towards the dog, but me and my family were hungry and ordered right away. 3 times, 3 times people from the place came over and simply told us that if the dog is aggressive, we ask you to leave, because is a liability . I m not asking for sympathy here, we waited for our food, took the dog quickly to the car and left as soon as we finished. I felt horrible and ashamed about the whole thing and for that I m deeply sorry. Here is all that I m asking and suggesting, just a better handling of the situation, first, please don t look at us and the dog as if you were about to vomit (yes you know who you are), second if you are the manager or owner, please be more cordial: a simple check of the table should have let you know that we ordered food, so maybe a quick chat: hey guys let me pack your food (which by the way had the wrong order and cold, but that s another story!), ...Hope you understand, but we have kids and adults here and the dog is barking too loud (I totally get it, it s completely understandable), please come back any other time..., which somehow he did say, just with a not with that dog again making people feel like criminals... I work in customer service, and I know that the client is not always right, like in this case, I should not have kept the dog there and for that I apologize. However, making the customer feel like trash is not right either. Just putting it out there for a better handling of the situation with other customers, if it ever happens... Kid-friendliness: Is sort of kid friendly, if by kid-friendly you mean an old fenced with a metal frame that at least my kids do not want to play in because is a bit loose, but if you are not picky, is decent enough to keep them entertained. I guess you could say that is slowly turning to more of an adult hangout?

We sat at the bar and those bartenders were so fast with everything. We ran out of napkins and they were Johnny on the spot with more. This is a hidden Spring Branch Gem. The house drink so good. Even just the smell was awesome. Other customers were super friendly. Can t say enough about this place. We found our new local go to place.

UPDATE: It appears someone in charge is listening! They refinished the picnic tables, including new QR code stickers for ordering. The chips were fresh and the queso was hot and service was still kind of slow, but at least I could wait for my food and drinks while sitting at the table with my friends instead of standing in a line. Thanks, Lazy Oaks!! This is our best neighborhood option for drinks, food, and sports on TV. We ve come here many time over the past few years, and it s definitely gone downhill. The chips are always stale. The queso is thick in the way that cheese gets thick when it isn t hot. The line to get anything is one line that takes FOREVER. The people that work here are lovely; we just need more of them. It sucks because we keep coming, but the frustration is real. Replace your QR code stickers on tables. Hire more people to service the bar and run the food. Learn how to make queso. Please attend to this neighborhood gem! There isn t anything else like it in the area.

Very large, dog friendly patio. Huge drink menu. Decent food menu for a bar. I got the taco plate. They were good except for the turkey. I would recommend the carne asada. I got the chips and queso. Chips were ok. Queso had the consistency of mayo. I really loved the order online system. It was super easy to put the orders in and to keep the tab open until you were ready to close out. The orders took a while to come out but I think that had more to do with only having one person working/ running things to the patio. I will definitely go back.

They were out of more interesting draft brews and no flights so not too much for us here (we are a bit jaded I guess). The service was also a bit slow and not terribly friendly. That said we liked the pretzel and it does look like the burger special might be worth a try.

My wife and I were looking for a place to grab a bite for dinner and instead of the usual places we decided to go here instead, the place was wide open with plenty of seating. You order your food and drinks with the bartender then they bring it out to you. I was very impressed with the selection of beer on tap and the food was amazing. My only gripe is that I wish the beer was a bit colder, they were cold but not as cold as I d expected. Great place and friendly atmosphere, definitely be back.

Spring branch neighborhood haunt. Pretty good beer and bite list with a hyper local social feel. Have already renovated the yard to be a much more family and dog friendly space. Casual and unassuming. Relaxing and easy going. Parking is an issue. Avoid the lot out front and park across the street so you dont get boxed. Update April 2023 - lost a star due to poor execution of food orders and unhelpful staff. The manager was great and ensured our missing and incorrect items were made whole, but the kitchen staff was generally unhelpful and unwilling to take ownership of the issues. Saturday afternoons at a neighborhood spot should be the bread and butter. Get better, do better. Will try again to ensure this wasnt an anomaly.

Had high hopes for this local bar as recently moved to the area. Same as many other reviews, had to wait about 40 mins to get our food. When the waiter finally came we told him the food had taken really long and all the other tables (that got there after us) had already been served. To which he responded: we are very busy and you ordered too much food (3 burgers and fries). The food was decent (or I was starving, not sure). The playground is one skywalker and dirt. Unless they change management and/or attitude soon, with so many other great bars around, I don t see this one doing particularly well.

Not a big fan of having to walk up to the bar to get a drink when the bartender is constantly going outside to smoke. Not a great music selection. I like they feed the local cats.

Great burgers. My favorite burger in Houston. Not too big, good size, deliciously greasy. Great beer. Nice atmosphere

Food. Excellent! Surprisingly so. Therefore I m a regular here. I ve sampled the shaved Brussels sprout salad, chicken fried steak, burgers, turkey hatch club and (my fav) turkey tacos. Never been disappointed by an order. Also an excellent selection of beers on tap. Service. Reasonable. It s an eclectic bunch working the front here. Solid and friendly. Environment. I ll call it it Austin chic. This place looks like a neighborhood dive bar, but like a lot of Austin joints it s eccentrically cool. Locals know it and it draws a decent lunch crowd. I m becoming a regular and hop this post goes unnoticed because I d hate to ruin it with popularity. Summary 4.5 stars. I rarely give 5 stars (2 to date). Food was excellent, the service was solid. If it were a tad bit cheaper I d give it 5, but it s still a solid value. For those who do not know me from my other reviews: I am not prone to hyperbole or drama. Eateries are judged by food, service and environment; in that order and in context with expectations. I like picking new places. If it is a place I go to regularly, I lead with that.

Nice place for drinks and food. I love their Reubens. They also have nice covered patio seating if you have COVID (or other) concerns. I always have a good time here.

This neighborhood pub style hang out beer garden has a relaxed vibe. The ordering was from the table with a QR code or we could go up to the front to order. It was a little bit of a disconnect with the staff because of ordering through my phone, however, the pretzel we ordered had my name written in mustard. We had the wings (A+) and the pretzel (also a winner). There was a wide variety of beers on draft and also bottled ones. Nice place.

It s the local bar, so it s convenient. Not great by any means. They frequently don t have the items in the menu. And if they ve not run out of food they run out of some of the draft beer on any given day/hour (I m not talking about late on weekends). Food tastes meh and the price is high IMO for the quality. I just got a burnt end burger, and it came with no burnt ends (and not by request). Service is poor. Can t say I won t come back again because it s a good meeting spot for neighborhood friends. Wish they would address all these issues which I know are not supply chain related because they ve been going on since they opened. This place could be much better.

Love this place! It s a super laidback, casual bar/restaurant. Personally never eaten here so I cant speak on the food, but every bartender that Ive had has been awesome. The outdoor area is big and they have a few tvs outside, along with benches. Inside has a booths and tables. Overall great place if you just wana have a drink and talk it up with friends. They play good music AND they have cats! The cats roam and go in and out as they please. Super cute. Their main bar cat is named Brisket and honestly the cat alone is reason enough to visit this place lmfao

First time going on a Friday, I have really good experiences with this place in the past. My favorite starters are the brisket bites and the chicken wings. Guilty pleasure that makes me drive from Katy to enjoy the goods. However, yesterday the brisket bites were unavailable and the wings were only boneless wings. I made the mistake of ordering the wings and what sham when they served me with some chicken tenders covered in sauce. Really 12 chicken tenders for 16 dollars and with the sauce all over the place. Long story short, I will make my own wings and skip this place.

Atmosphere is nice. They have a nice, large outdoor patio area. The only downside are the drinks. They are awful and weak. The food is overpriced and meh. They do have a nice ordering system where you scan a qr code to order and then can pay on your phone. The food came out super fast. I got tacos and they were awful. I didnt eat them.

Cute neighborhood spot! The kids loved playing outside and the adults loved having a drink! It s a great family / friend spot. The prices are really reasonable as well. The food was really good as well! So that was an added perk! One thing I really wish they had was a gate that goes out to the parking lot. I was with a bunch of other parents and that was one thing we all really thought they should have just to be on the safe side. Our kids we older but I found myself watching other peoples kids just because it made me nervous!
