This is a great place drinks, pool and more. As always, the staff is friendly and he patrons are very nice and courteous. My best friend and I were regulars here for a while. She passed away a few years ago. Decided to go for drinks and a few rounds of pool with a new friend. Got a little overwhelmed and didnt even finish my drink.

Although smoking is not allowed inside the bar, there is this one guy that sits at the slot machine smoking cigarettes back to back. No one stops him. Its a typical pool hall, but the cigarettes inside the building are absolutely annoying. I was asked to see my ID, although Im darn near 40 years old. Meanwhile, this guy is smoking in the building. Isnt smoking cigarettes in the building illegal in Houston? I guess when you know the owner, the laws dont apply to you.

I had a fabulous time with my nephew at Jacks we played pool and the bartender Cat, was absolutely fabulous and friendly and made us feel very very welcome!!! The club itself is very clean lots and lots of pool tables and the people there are very very friendly, i met Rhonda and I think were friends, New Friends!!! Definitely a place to go for drinks and a good time!!! Yeah Buddy!!!

Jacks is just one of those bars. You either hate it or love it, based solely on the clientele. If youre not an everyday, middle-class working American; this is probably not your bar. However, if you just want to go to a place to play poker, shoot pool, or just watch the game, theres no better place to go where you can be ABSOLUTELY SURE youre welcome no matter what your race, ethnicity or sexual orientation may be. A true American establishment.
