Extrodinary service and as many of them have already known that it is was the place for mandi. We agree that and as a group of friends we tasted the few items like street style chicken noodles and pani puri along with paneer frankie all the items that we ordered are really tasted pretty well. I placed an order for breakfast with this restaurant on August 28th. Unfortunately, the preparation took an excessively long time, leading to a prolonged wait at the restaurant. Additionally, upon returning home, I discovered that some items were missing from the order. I contacted the restaurant multiple times because no one picked up my call - finally got through to the staff to address the issue and was assured by two staff members that a refund would be processed by the end of the day. Trusting their word, I waited. However, upon reviewing my recent credit card statement, I realized that no refund had been issued, contrary to what I was told. This experience has left me disappointed, and I have decided not to order from them again. While nothing can change my experience, I hope this doesnt happen to others, and I recommend avoiding this establishment to prevent similar issues. When something wrong happens, you give someone a chance to mend their ways or to correct their mistake - when they take advantage of you giving that chance, you ll feel like never going back to them. I have no major complaints about the quality of food except for the fact that it was a little too oily but service is something one really has to maintain to long last.

one day we visited to have breakfast combos and we were told that combos are available before 11:00 AM, which was mentioned no where.. so I suggested to post it somewhere. next day we reached before 11 and again they said they said they are not serving breakfast combos. Initially they said its 11 which is not the case and later they said they are having problem with taking combo orders as they are not going in properly.. wondering how they worked for customers earlier that day..

Ordered noodles and gobi Manchurian. Noodles were so spicy that we could not take more than a bite. Gobi Manchurian was average. Chicken lollipop was dry. Kati roll was less than average. I usually write reviews as i feel it will be helpfull for people who come to eat food with hunger. I have ordered chicken 555 and mutton ghee roast pulav. Both the items were not good. The mutton is kind of so hard to chew. It doesnt feel that ur eating mutton. The chicken 555 is not good at all. The taste the texture is bad. I have tried biryani as well in the past. I placed a phone order for takeout, Chicken appetizer and among other things with a request for the appetizer to be made spicy. When I did go to pick up, they had not prepared the appetizer order yet but scooped a to-go box of pre-made appetizer from the glass serving area and handed me the to-go order. I did ask to the lady ringing up the payment as my requirement was for it to be spicy, can you please get the appetizer re-made I can wait, the two ladies at the front assured it was spicy and fresh. As I didn t want to create a scene, just paid and left. As expected, the appetizer was lukewarm which means it was pre-made appetizer and mild wrt spice as expected. This is unacceptable or at-least have the courtesy to own that you cannot remake the orders and have to choose from existing options, we can choose different option than forcing your choice on customers. This is the second instance where restaurants force their choice upon customer than catering to customer s needs. Very unfortunate and disappointing experience.

I called the restaurant in advance to confirm they would be open at the time I planned to arrive. I was assured they would be open, but when I arrived at the scheduled time, I was told they were not taking any orders and the kitchen was closed. Hi everyone, We just drove over 50 miles from South Austin to visit your restaurant, only to be told by your staff that the kitchen was closed. If your kitchen closes early, why does your restaurant claim to be open until midnight? This kind of information should be clearly mentioned somewhere, like on your website or posted outside, especially if you stop serving food around 10:30. This lack of transparency is frustrating and unacceptable. For anyone considering visiting, I suggest heading to **Chowrasta** in North Austin or **Tandoori Lounge** in South Austin instead.

I have had very poor experience buying snacks at this place. I have tried egg puff - which was below average. I have tried honey cake which was spoilt and very sour in taste. I then ordered Mysore bonda - it was soggy, peanut chutney that was served with it was also smelling bad and spoilt. A dish not tasting good can be considered perspective, but it does not take a genius to identify food gone bad. I would not return to this place and have people be cautious with what they are ordering. People who are taking the orders, packing the food are clueless on how to efficiently do their job. It wasn t even that busy at that time to take that into consideration.

We found this little piece of plastic in the Shastri Gaaari veg pulao today in a to go order, i called them to report the same, they sounded very concerned and asked for the evidence, however they never got back to me after that. that I am sure someone else will get this in their tummy on a hungry day/night. Well your choice now to go or not, my 10 yr old was lucky she got this under her tooth else ? cant imagine what she could have gone through. Take your chances, I did not call them for freebies/ replacements, they dont head to your concerns. My only concern was, give us what we pay for, NOT PLASTIC man, come on... ! I had to raise a complaint to the Food Safety authorities. I told the management, I would do that, I dont see them taking it seriously. I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. I ordered papdi chaat, samosa chaat, and Irani tea. Unfortunately, the chaat was watery and lacked any significant presence of papdi, which seemed to be used only as decoration. When I raised my concerns with the staff member who prepared the dish, she was dismissive and offered no assistance. The Irani tea was excessively bitter and undrinkable. Additionally, the table we were seated at was not cleaned, so I had to clean it myself. Overall, it was a frustrating visit with multiple issues.

The naan which we got 35 minutes after our main meal was good. We got tiki masala and butter chicken and rice and it was a very small portion for the price that we paid. The flavor of the food was meh. The girl at the counter who took our order was less than helpful and showed only disinterest. The whole place, from the floor to the chairs to the table to the counters was absolutely filthy. I mean, filthy, filthy, filthy. There was one bus boy with a dirty rag, wiping little circles into some of the tables. We had to clean our own table, and tried to wipe up some of the food stuff that was on the floor so we wouldn t slip. Will not be back, it s like asking for food poisoning.

Never wrote review before, but this really pissed me off. Ordered juicy chicken mandi today and to my suprise found glass piece in the chicken gravy. Thats pathetic. I would suggest the team to refrain from doing these sought of pathetic things and would suggest you to check it twice before you give it to the customer.

This is an absolute must try restaurant in Austin. The overall atmosphere was very welcoming and the food was amazing. One must try these items Bhemavaram kodi vepudu, mutton Mandi, chicken dum biryani. Will definitely visit again.

Updated review: Dont use them for catering an event. Weve liked the food in the restaurant so much that we chose to have them cater an event. Despite confirming delivery time earlier in the week and the morning of, they arrived an hour late. No apologies and no concern on their end. Further, the food quality was lower than what you get in the restaurant. Weve had issues with ordering from their website as well - when you go to pick up you find multiple items are not available and theyll offer to replace it with lower cost items and refuse to refund the unavailable items. While we still like the food in-restaurant, they clearly have logistical issues to sort out. Original review: Everything we had here was amazing. Weve already had it twice in one week. The juicy mutton mandi was the standout but the butter chicken, chai, street noodles, gulab jamun...everything is some of the best in the city. Service was very friendly as well. One gripe is that they only have plastic utensils for dine in which makes it a little tough to break up a mutton leg for example.

The food is delicious. I love the very crispy punugulu. There is live pani puri which was delicious. I like the chicken 65 biryani. Kaju chicken was only ok. Friends enjoyed the Mandi. The place is super busy on Friday night. It took forever for the food to arrive because of the rush. Parking: They have a free parking lot, plenty of space.
