Sadly I can t give a high rating. I can tell a lot of thought and creativity was put into the food but the execution fell flat. I ordered the steak special. Came with a large ribeye and a Caesar salad with fried whole egg sized potatoes. They called them home fries, kind of hard to agree with that description. The home fries were very good and so was the Caesar salad the croutons were especially good. The steak was the big flop, I ordered it medium rare and it came out well done maybe a generous medium well. I could tell it was not rested at all, the moment I cut into it all the juices rushed out and the steak ended up dry.

Had a great time! From our first interaction with the doorman, we knew we were in the right spot. The bar staff were all attentive. We ordered our food and tickets sitting down in the bar area. When we made it upstairs for the show, the vibe was perfect. Relaxed, chill, and clean. Definitely recommend for date night.

The reason I dont give 5 stars is because during the show the only way to order food is by using your own phone and a QR code. You use your own phone, and then they charge you a CONVENIENCE FEE. What a convenience fee would be is if they gave you a menu and good service so you dont have to use your phone. This just takes away from already underpaid servers. Done with the bad, heres the good. Went to see Jetski Johnson here. Great atmosphere, good service, the nicest door guy(heavy set fellah), fantastic beer selection, I had a prarie artisan... man do I love their beers, and on top of it all a fantastically organized comedy show. Very good experience here, will definitely be returning, and soon.

I tried calling in to order fish and chips. They couldn t hear me by phone because the bar was too loud. So I had to do it online- the guy asked me to. I didn t want to, but I didn t seem to have a choice. So I wanted fish and chips plus a side salad. I overlooked that I had to make a selection for my fries. I thought that those were just substitutions to pick from if I wanted. There is even a no side option IF anybody doesn t want their fries. But I didn t select anything, as I just wanted it how it comes. I added a side salad (not substitution). I ended up getting 3 pieces of fish and a tiny side salad for $32. Sigh I thought to call back and tell them, but they wouldn t even be able to hear me anyway.

Very chill spot. Interactive & fun. Came on Wednesday for girls night. I d come back. Perfect for girls night out or date night. Affordable for sure. Cheapest tickets are best, it s a small crowd. Food is mid, and drinks could be a little stronger but def something to do on a Wednesday night.

The Detroit pizza here was my absolute favorite in Houston. I graved it, the crust was buttery and crunchy, yet soft at the same time. The sauce was good and The cheese was gooey delicious! Went tonight wanting that pizza to be met by a sign that said now serving Tony s Gold tooth pizza. Okay, not what I wanted but let s go for it anyway. Not good!!!! The crust was not good at all. Tasted like a takeout pizza crust, which I personally don t like. It was not crunch except around the edges, no burnt cheese on the bottom at all. The sauce had little flavor and the cheese had no pull! I beg of you (Owner of Rudyards) go back to your pizza it was so much better. Unfortunately I won t be back to eat this pizza. Nor, will I be trying Tony s Gold tooth pizza in the Heights. Just not good pizza.

Seems like Ive reviewed Rudyards multiple times today for whatever reason, and dont mind reviewing such a great bar again. Excellent food menu, and now Rudyards chef is serving his famous Gold Tooth Tonys Pizza here. Lots of classic bar games including darts, wonderful beer selection, plenty of space to hang out. Upstairs there is live comedy or music. Come check out Rudyards. Vegetarian options: I would ask the friendly staff there. Parking: You must use a parking app for the two available lots. Not a whole lot of street parking around. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible.

This place is awesome. We live about 50miles away so weve only been twice in the past couple of years to see our favorite comedian, Sugar Sammy, perform at The Riot Club. Weve been getting there early to enjoy the menu posted online, and it doesnt disappoint! Weve sat at the bar and ordered the absolutely delicious in-house made chips and pickle/ranch dressing, and their pizza which was equally amazing! Their service is quick and the staff is very attentive. The atmosphere is chill and the decor is fun. Theres a pool table and some games. They have an outside patio that had a couple of dog water bowls which tells me theyre awesome!! Wish we lived closer cuz this would definitely be the place we would hang out at!

I picked up an order here and the curly haired chubby bartender guy ripped me for not leaving a tip on a doordash order. Why would I leave a tip on an order I m picking up through a third party service? Makes no sense, he was so rude saying At least leave a $1! . This bar has been a long time fixture in the Montrose neighborhood. It is a small, busy pub with knowledgeable bartenders, plentiful, yummy pub food. This bar sits below a comedy club so it is the perfect pre-game activity before a show. The parking around the bar is difficult, and due to one way roads, you have to circle the building a few times. We saw customers eating deep dish pizza which we have been looking for.... We will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

It was a slow weekday. Bartender was kind and helpful. Had a wonderful vibe to him. The security, not so much. Upon entering he looked at everyone s IDs which of course is fine, but as they were closing up, he rudely asked us to leave and said we had to finish our drinks outside. Fine, we didn t mind. Then as we were walking out, he patronized us and yelled out YOU CAN T WALK OUT WITH YOUR DRINK!!!! meaning only at the patio. As it was my first time (my friends were even like what s his deal) I didn t know where the patio was. He just said outside. Like that whole interaction was highly unnecessary. PS Towards the end, there s actually rats that roam around the place. One of my friends got scared and left. Upon acknowledging the situation, the bartender responded with, That s actually pretty normal around here. They usually come out when things slow down. I hope that says enough.

We got a Houston cheese pizza and a Detroit style Sausage pizza. We also had some garlic knots. The pizza itself was tasty. Certainly not the best pizza ever, but not anything like a chain restaurant. The marinara sauce (as well as the garlic knots) was delicious and well worth. The vibe is definitely a bar, and they serve delta 9 (as close to weed as you can legally get in Texas) out of a vending machine. The waitress was obviously high (squinty, incredibly red eyes, slurred words, the whole 9) but we didn t mind. Not gonna win awards for service, but I m there for pizza to be honest, not a sober waitress. I d definitely recommend coming here for some pizza, but you ve gotta get those garlic knots too. Probably *not* kid friendly, though I m sure they don t claim to be. Parking: Nearby lots that you can pay. Super cheap though. Kid-friendliness: Bar, sells weed, not kid friendly.

Great tap list! It s a shame Jessa the bartender has a huge attitude problem. I was looking forward to having a nice spot with good cold drinks but this woman is beyond abrasive. At 5:59 we tried to get one last beer in for happy hour and as the clock turned 6:00 we asked if happy hour prices are still valid and she scowled as she said NOPE! I would have bought another round or two had we not been treated like sh!t. Plenty of other options in the neighborhood. Sorry to have inconvenienced you by showing up, Jessa! Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the beer selection *is* legit. Maybe Jessa should go to the vending machine and get some gummies to mellow out a bit.

Came here for drinks with friends. Great seating inside and outside. We sat outside and there were big tables and fans/heat available. The fire was super warm in winter and that was very nice to keep us warm. Lots of those available. The alc prices were pretty good also and it was easy to access the bartender. Came here for an event. Didnt get any food, but on other peoples plate it looked delicious. (Thursdays is Steak Night BTW) The bartender Rex is awesome and funny. Very nice personality and can make a helluva drink!! The atmosphere is very welcoming. It is homely and it kinda reminds me of a set on a sitcom. The upstairs is The Riot where they do stand-up comedy shows. I liked the fire that burns in the pit on the patio. Downfall is the parking, but thats the norm for the area. Next time, I will play darts and whatever else they have available there. Parking: There is free parking if you dont park in the front. Otherwise you will have to pay if you park there. Small parking lot, but be careful parking on the streets and watch the city signs.

This place is racist and weird.. literally went there for the first time and I just got here from the UK but my friend and I asked to try a sample of a frozen drink, after already buying 2 and buying drinks for the person next to us! The manager or bartender, idk who this racist man was but he comes around the bar to my friend and I and kicks us out saying we are drunk and have been trying drinks this whole time.. drinks we bought, in an establishment I ve never encountered before.. how?? Were told that our food from the Greek takeout restaurant next door was ok to consume on the outside patio. After picking up our food.... And then buying drinks at Rudgyards, found out that it was not true. Outside wait staff very rude and unfriendly.

Came here for a show upstairs which was great. My review is based on their service or lack of. We went upstairs, scanned the QR code, we placed our order and automatically was forced to tip. Tip who? We don t drink alcohol so we ordered 2 soft diet cokes. Our meals came and we needed a refill. I saw a guy dropping off food next to us so I waived at him and asked if he could bring us two refills of Diet Coke, he said no problem. He came back a few minutes later and said I have to order my drinks using the we code. So I pulled my phone out scanned the code again and spent the next 5 minutes trying to figure out the refill situation and came to the conclusion that they wanted me to pay $5 for another 16oz cup of soda, that s just ridiculous. What bar or restaurant charges people for sods refills? I could see maybe a buck. Anyways, this completely ruined the evening as I refused to pay an additional five dollars for a refill of soda that comes out of the soda gun at the bar, not a fresh bottle or a can. The pizza was delicious, but would have been better if I had something to wash it down with.

Do NOT waste your time visiting this establishment. We WILL never be back. We drove 30 minutes because the website advertised all ages until kitchen closed then would not let in my 31 year old boyfriend, who s ID had been stolen, and he had picture/confirmation/print proof of his ID but refused to let him in. Very poor establishment ..FALSE ADVERTISING AND SCAMMED.

If you are looking for a night out, this is a great choice. We came for a comedy show. This was our first time here and the staff was very helpful. If you are going upstairs for the show, dont leave an open tab at the bar. You will have a hard time closing out your tab at the end of the night with the crowd. When you get upstairs you will have a QR code at your table. You can scan the code and order anything you want from there. At the end of the night you close your tab on your phone. It is very easy.

Great atmosphere, but no table service. You order at the bar. It was bar food, maybe a little above par. One order at our table included an incorrect item. The person did not approach staff about the issue. Garlic knots, fish and chips, and a mixed appetizer plate were on our order. All were pretty good. Only off putting thing was someone I assumed was a customer walking around with their dog inside. Dog was approaching customers and going under tables for crumbs. I like dogs, but not where my food is served. Dont know if this is okay in Houston, but our locality doesnt allow any non-service animals where food is served. Looked like a neighborhood bar and this customer was familiar to staff.

Was in there tonight. Bar service and atmosphere is top notch. I love this bar. Had 3 cans of montucky cold snacks. Was going to stay and have a pizza. Wanted to unwind after a long day at work on their patio. As I sat on the patio trying to unwind, they have a bouncer who coughed every thirty seconds and hawked loogies onto the pavement in front of the door no exaggeration at least 300- 400 times within the 45 minutes I sat there. The most vile disgusting annoying thing I have ever seen.

Nice atmosphere and service. The Fancy AF grilled cheese was strange. Pears, pecans, and walnuts lent a strange texture. A finer chop or a paste of those may make it better. I had to eat a chili dog after that to remove the palate memory. The chili dog was great. The beer needs to be much colder...

Its been quite some time and they have new management but I really enjoyed coming back. Becks was awesome and was very attentive (we were a big group trying to run a meeting). Salsa has a nice kick to it so I would recommend it, as well as the curly fries. Like I said earlier, it was great to come back to Rudyards after a long time and see it is still the enjoyable place it always was for a drink and friends.
