This spot was a great spot to visit. We were literally walking in at 8:15 pm and I think they closed at 9 pm. The staff was still welcoming and still provided excellent service and the food was amazing. I am a hard person to please, but this team and food was a perfect place for a first date. Dont overlook this food spot! I wish they had a franchise of this. Sushi was made right on the spot and they didnt rush us! At ALL! They truly believe in LOVE!

Couldnt get my order right after multiple times. Small portion for a $16 roll. The roll shouldve had cucumber and that wasnt in it. Too many sushi restaurants to choose from to make several careless mistakes. Attention to detail is necessary when it comes to food. You dont get a 2nd chance at 1st impressions.

We used to love this place, but the last two times have been disappointing. We ordered the onion soup, i heard the microwave go off in the back kitchen and then we were delivered our hot soups. The bowls were hotter than the soup and the soup tasted old and nuked. Sushi is still okay.

Accidently found this place when my husband and I went to go to the Greek place next door. Tried this place instead and found the best sushi ever. Went on a limb and tried the fancy roll. It was the perfect size for a meal and delicious. Service was very pleasant and she was attentive. Loved the atmosphere. Such a variety of options as well. Will definitely be back.

Went in because our first two choices were hour and a half plus wait, we were seated immediately and got drinks very quickly after. The quality was absolutely amazing and we even got some extra treats too. All of the staff from the waiter who greeted us to the sushi chef slicing up the fish were top notch, kind and attentive. Food was very good, but the hibachi was a bit pricey. I am used to paying those prices for the full hibachi experience. Our server offered us steamed rice or fried rice. No mention was made of an upcharge for the fried rice. When the bill came, there was a charge of almost $10 for 2 fried rice. When I questioned the server, she said there is an upcharge for fried rice instead of steamed rice. I said that should be mentioned at the time of ordering. No apologies from the server. Not sure if the meal was worth the money.

Very nice and pleasantly decorated interior. Booths have high backs and thin individual cushions, tables have well padded chairs. Great menu with many Japanese dishes. Sushi was spectacular and the prices are excellent compared to the portions and quality of food you receive. Soft drinks come in original plastic bottles that you can pour into a glass with ice, if you prefer so, you can take your bottle with you if you dont finish it. Green tea comes hot or cold and is from Japan. Udon noodles (soup) are delicious. Out of the many Sushi places I have been trying in Collin County, this one has jumped to the top 3. Staff is very friendly and helpful. To go containers are available. Definitely recommend and will visit again.

As a new customer, I was unfamiliar with Zen s menu and displayed a photo of what I d like to try. I was deceived, the woman cashier/ server said the habachi plate was shrimp and teriyaki beef shown. After I received my food to go, it was clear to me the photo I displayed was STEAK and looked delicious. What I received was cheap inedible thin slices of Chinese style beef. Very disappointed. The shrimp crunch roll is rather different than I ve ever had anywhere, not in a good way. Decent Philadelphia roll. Won t be back, lost a potential regular trying to be cheap.

I whish I could upload the picture of the melted styroform container by the fried rice. Chemicals was coming out of the styroform melting. It is common sense that they should have used microwaveable containers. this restaurant is spreading bad chemicals. As soon as I figure out how to upload a picture, I will do it. I threw fried rice to the trash can when I found the deformed container and the rough surface of the container. It is the sign of leaking of chemicals.

Horrible experience. Ordered shrimp tempura. Veg tempura and fried roll. I told them to fry it but it salmon was 100% cooke, usually they flash fry it so that only the outside stays crispy but ended up with fried salmon, also told them to add extra avocado they instead added LESS. The veggies tempura didnt have any kind of potatoes instead added something fries carrots. Who likes carrot tempura??? The shrimp tempura shrimp wasnt cleaned. The shrimp feces (the black stuff) was there. This was $30 waste of money. It was empty. Im so disappointed. Not going there again and not recommending

Had a lunch date here with the wifey. Very relaxed environment, friendly staff. I always ordered the same sushi roll every sushi place I go (pictured) and this place by far had the best one I ever tasted. The correct amount of everything on it and in it including toasted to perfection. All the sushi we had was great and fresh. Will definitely come back here. The decor is a little dated but adds to the hole in the wall feeling.

I went to Zen sushi last night with my boyfriend and got some kind of Crab Roll with shrimp and spicy mayo, I currently have food poisoning which started around an hour to an hour and a half after I ate it. I was up all night throwing up sushi and stomach acid. The food itself is good but if I throw it all up it was pretty much a waste of money and time. I dont know what they are doing to cause food poisoning but my stomach is in so much pain. So I would reconsider just incase. *two stars solely because the food was actually pretty good and the lady was pretty sweet the food was just not prepared properly so be careful!!!*

Its obvious those reviews were for the Dasher because there is no way this restaurant would have 5 star reviews selling Ramen of this quality! The 18 cent packet in my pantry tastes way better. The noodles were not any higher quality than the 18 cent version either. Do you see any Shrimp in this picture? Maybe the shrimp Ramen means shrimp flavored like they use the flavor powder from the packages? I cant believe we spent $50 for 3 items. The Sushi was ok and the Udon decent ok again. But that Ramen... laughable.

We had dinner for the first time at Zen Sushi & Grill. It was delicious! There were several different types of sushi so there was something for everyone. The waitress was so nice and had a smile on her face the entire time we were there. All of the staff were super friendly. I highly recommend and will definitely be visiting them again!

The sushi is delicious and of high quality. If you want something light, I recommend getting the Stonebridge roll or cucumber roll (I forgot the name, but ask for the roll with a cucumber casing). The owner is LITERALLY THE NICEST PERSON EVER!! His staff is wonderful and he is so much fun talking to!! If you re coming to Dallas I would 100% suggest eating here!! Also the green tea ice cream with banana tempura is the bomb!
