Weve been to this gallery twice and its always a fun time. The art is eclectic and unusual and the attendant was interesting to talk to. The featured artist had done some interesting work, shapes of his art were interesting and unique.

A friend and I attended artist, Wayne Gilberts art exhibit, Tomorrows Unknown, opening gala at Redbud Arts Center, and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing several of his selected works in the intimate space. Redbud offers a casual and welcoming space to showcase works of art from artists of all kinds of genres, and its centralized Heights location makes it an extra-treasured place for those of us who live in the neighborhood. The amazing, contemporary art space, G Spot Gallery, is located across the street.

One of my favorite Galleries of not only the Houston Heights, but Houston. Always great openings, the owners are lovely Icons of the Art Scene and loved by many a Patron as well as Artists. Its not Scene like some galleries, its more like a gallery where you can meet really interesting locals as well as get to know the owners.

Redbud Gallery is a great place to see the work of new, emerging, and established artists. The owner, Gus Kopriva, has been an art supporter and dealer since the 1970s. His knowledge of modern and contemporary art, especially Texas artists and German Expressionists, is particularly noteworthy.

Walked in to inquire about a specific artist from Houston -- Michael Roque Collins -- Ive been interested in for some time. Unfortunately, I was completely ignored. The owner/purveyor didnt even acknowledge me when I walked in. Ill be taking my business to Lewallen Gallery in Santa Fe. Very disappointing.
