Lovely place.. while I was on the phone with hubby.. someone was yelling very ugly and rude,loud at the wedding party to have them move for pictures. I question hubby who is she talking to like that he states the groomsman.. lol oh wow.. The wedding coordinator was rude lacked common sense needs to practice her people skills. I asked her to move so I was Missing the pictures be taken and her response was very rude and with this ugly look on her face I was trying to ask a question. I was like you don t have to be rude.. I would not recommend having such a beautiful moment of your life being ruined by this ugly no patience rude no. Class wedding coordinator.. run to the hills

We recently had our wedding at Gardens at Old Town Helotes and our expectations were exceeded. This venue is phenomenal. Our ceremony was breathtaking with the beautiful background and the reception as well with all the lights in the trees! The bridal cabin was so spacious and accommodating that all my bridesmaids were able to spend the day with me getting ready. From the gorgeous grounds/gardens to the helpful staff. Vicki helped us and made sure all of our needs were met from the tour to the actual date. Natasha was outstanding at making sure our special day went smoothly and stress free. The only complaint I have is the day went by too fast! Such an unforgettable day! I cant wait to see the formal pictures from my photographer!

Our Son s wedding was held here in November on a Saturday. The day was chilly and rainy. Outdoor heaters were arranged and helped the guests seated outside to be comfortable. The help we received in planning was stellar. Many possibilities were discussed that we might not have thought about. The guidance we received in planning was essential in having the best possible outcome. It was so well planned that our guests didn t leave even though it rained on and off because they were enjoying themselves. Thank you.

Recently photographed a wedding at this venue and loved it! Beautiful venue, loved the stream and bridge in the middle of the garden. Definitely a hidden gem tucked away in Helotes, the entire outdoor area was perfect for a sunset wedding and photographed extremely well and easy! 10/10 would recommend anyone in the area to check out this venue, I cant wait to photograph another wedding here!

I was there for my nephews wedding and the venue was ok but what I didnt understand is there was a waterfall where a fan could of been placed but wasnt. The wedding ceremony should of been held indoors due to excessive heat. The chairs were dirty I noticed that during the rehearsal I figured they would be cleaned before the wedding. I saw they were not no effort was made to have them cleaned. I would not recommend this venue nor would I recommend the wedding planner whom I felt cut corners to line her pocket.

The day of our rehearsal it felt very rushed. Hardly practiced the entrances of everyone. The day of our wedding our day planner was on the phone, no where to be seen. I had to ask our DJ to make an announcement to call her. She did manage our schedule, I had to manage the schedule myself. At a certain point of the night she came up to me and said she was leaving without any explanation & I had no idea who was in charge. Overall, beautiful venue, but lacks structure & communication.

It s almost impossible to truly explain how beautiful this venue is. The atmosphere and location is perfect. You feel like you aren t close to any big cities and so private. The night felt truly magical. Vicki helped make sure our everything leading up to the big day was smooth and went over everything to make sure nothing was missed! I would recommend them to everyone.

We had our wedding at Gardens at Old Town Helotes and the site is amazing! From the Brides House, Ceremony Area, Dining Reception Area, and The Gardens Grounds, will all blow your mind away! We received so many compliments on how the area was well lighted with sparky lights around the trees. It was romantic and classic! Perfect intimate setting with our guest count of 100 people. We opted in for outdoor ceremony, indoor dining, and outdoor dance reception all on the same site! Vickie at the venue was a pleasure to work with! She was very kind and gave a lot of great ideas when it came to setup! She has a preferred vendor list of numerous vendors in all areas that are top notch! I hired my caterer, decorator, beauty services, and coordinator from this list and they performed at 100%! My wedding day was not perfect but I didn t even notice any of the mishaps which didn t ruin any part of our perfect day , because Amanda our coordinator and Vickie took care of it all! I recommend This venue for all bride s any time of the year! It was our best day ever!

This place was sooo soooo pretty. I didnt like that they had us move inside to outside several times. And they did not have enough tables. When you pay for 200 and get tables for 100 but they tell you to put some people inside...who wants to miss all the dances and toasts and the toss. The dance floor is very small. The cabin to get dressed in was nice. The layout inside it terrible cause you will have some tables hidden in the back around the corner that can not see anything, not even the bride and groom. I would have been mad if I got all dressed to go see my loved ones get married and I placed around the corner and saw nothing or had to eat outside in the heat with a jumbo fan blowing everything.

From the start Vicki was very kind , helpful and informative through out the process. Her customer service is one of a kind. She made her self available when we needed her. The venue is beautiful itself, all the trees near the dance floor are lit with lots of lights ( my personal fav). The ceremony (area) view has the most gorgeous background. Attended an evening weddings there this evening. What a beautiful beautiful venue. The ceremony was at 6pm. Perfect romantic lighting for the ceremony, the gorgeous oak trees and grounds lent for amazing backdrops and stunning pictures. If I could give ZERO stars, I would...hence the one-star rating. They do not deserve a one-star rating. This place has not been very supportive of their customers during the Covid19 Pandemic. They have not taken into consideration the fact that more vulnerable patrons should not be exposed to large groups because of what is happening in the world at this time. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding that was supposed to take place on May 30, 2020. The bride contacted this venue in plenty of time in order to cancel and request a refund because she knew that it was not feasible to have the wedding because no one would show up due to health concerns. The bride paid for this venue in advance - CASH - and the owner at this property did not offer her any dates in the future, nor did he offer to give any of her money back. He simply said, I will be here May 30th with the doors open. Basically stating I am not giving your money back and you can come have the wedding even if it is only the bride and groom although you have already paid cash for almost 200 guests. Please keep this in mind as you are choosing a venue in the future. We never know what the outcome will be with Covid19 and I advise you not to do business with people or companies that were not flexible during this time and are o.k. with keeping thousands of dollars from a fully paid customer who did not want to risk health concerns for her guests. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

Vicki, and her dad, and the rest of the family that takes perfect care of you at the Gardens at Old Town Helotes, are super duper sweet! They run their family-owned business with A+ customer service and impeccable care! The lawns are beautiful, well manicured, and play host to the most perfect Texas sunsets! And, you can really two-step/boogie the night away on their outdoor wooden dance floor! My FABULOUS 50th surprise birthday party was planned here, but I also always enjoy visiting the venue and all the staff as a fellow wedding/event professional.

GO CHECK OUT THE VENUE MORE THAN ONCE! Check out their open house. Its beautiful! Jamie was our wedding venue coordinator and I cannot rave about her enough! She made sure everything fell into place and scheduling times were met. Jamie, Vicky, and Kent do a wonderful job of keeping the place as lush and colorful as can be, with the Texas Hill Country background adding that final outdoor-country feel. I love the venue. I couldnt have asked for a better place to have our wedding. The pergola is the focal point for the bride to meet her groom. Its surrounded by beautiful scenery and plenty of seating to accommodate guests of all numbers. I had a summer wedding and was able to provide guests with chilled water outside of the seating area. The deck is perfect for the cocktail hour and both outdoor and indoor hold 250 people. The outside land has a swing bench and little bridges, cute enough to take pictures. Go with Gardens of Old Town Helotes!

I just had my wedding here this past weekend. It went perfectly thanks to Jaime working hard behind the scenes. She was our wedding-day coordinator. Previously, I had communicated mostly with Vicky. Both were wonderful to work with and very attentive. We were running a little behind schedule and Jaime did not wait to be told to do anything, she just handled it. Its easy to lose track of time and the order of events, but Jaime kept everything moving. The venue and grounds are gorgeous. I also liked having the flexibility to choose our vendors. Compared to other venues around town, Gardens at Old Town Helotes is an exceptional value.
