There is a banner in the Windsor lobby that says Medicare 5 Star Service and that was our experience. My mother was there for an extended stay of skilled nursing and physical therapy. Thank you especially to Dianna (CNA), nurses Ana and Chris, medication aides Sara and Jessica, Jay, Arturo and Gabby in physical therapy, Nora and others at the front desk, Jeff, Girley, Brian, Lucy and so many more for exceptional care. We appreciate everything, including the good food!

I had a very bad experience while receiving rehab. The physical therapy was excellent. On Wedesnday and Monday I did not receive the antibotics I was suppose too. I was so mad that I ask to leave the next day which was on 07/30/24. The service with the CNA and the Nurses was terrible.

Windsor Nursing & Rehabilitation was my husband s home away from home for 100 days after an horrific motorcycle accident and a 5 1/2 month hospital stay. He was well taken care of here by nursing staff and the therapists. My husband needed quite a bit of wound care which was always handled carefully and professionally. I checked out a half a dozen facilities before deciding to bring my husband here for Skilled Nursing &Rehab care. It was a well researched, good decision. We were treated with respect and compassion by every member of the staff here. The Therapy Department came up with creative ways to help my husband gain strength and independence even though he is unable to bear weight on either of his legs at this time. We are now transitioning home with outpatient therapy. My husband has more surgeries and healing yet to come but Windsor made it possible for us to get to the next step in his recovery. They also taught us both how to make going home possible. Thank you, Windsor!!!

I just completed 2 weeks at Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation in Harlingen, following hip surgery. I love that during my short stay I grew strong enough to go home safely and am even cleared to drive again! I was invited to compliment an outstanding staff member. That is difficult, because everyone I ve met has welcomed me enthusiastically and has contributed significantly to my recovery. During my stay, I became stronger, and I had many moments of joy__ Inspired by Warm welcomes and staff visits, Miss Sylvia s delicious, nutritious meals, PT and OT successes, A resident baseball tournament, Friday group therapy, Jesse s, Rusty s, and Sam s singing, Special attention from CNA s, nurses, and other staff! I want to especially compliment the daytime CNA Maria De La Garza, who always made me feel glad and blessed to be at Windsor! In appreciation, Joy Arnold.

This was my husbands 4th stay at Windsor (Ratama). It was our choice after having stayed at 2 other rehab centers. It is like visiting with old friends. The staff is caring and does extra things for you. Their rehab is by far more personal and motivated to the improvement of the patients overall health and psychological well being. It is by far the best atmosphere to make a patient feel at home.

Night nurses need to be checked as theft seems to be a really big issue. My grandmas second stay here and it is happening again. If I find who is doing it myself it aint gonna be pretty....trust a lawyer will be hired and the individual will suffer greatly. Also definitely have a way to monitor and get footage of what happens in my grandmas room so please please please revaluate your decisions before stealing from my grandma!

This was our 2nd time back at Windsor for my husbands therapy and antibiotic infusions. I was certainly blessed to hear my husband share all those individuals who made his stay magnificent as this was no vacation. A big shout out to Carol and Jorge who daily cared for him unconditionally. Initially he walked in and was weak and somewhat down due to his recent surgery and outcome. But these 2 nurses boosted his energy. They deserve a grand applause for their professionalism and caring heart. Although I didnt meet all the Physical therapy staff he normally bragged on Jesse and all that helped him be more mobile. I know that with their caring attitude my husband gained strength to become more independent. Many other nurses and staff befriended him and made sure he was comfortable and attended to. So many names and faces we will never forget. Thank you Windsor for making us feel comfortable during our recent stay. God bless each one of the staff that took care of my husband!!!

My grandpa was a patient here briefly after a hospital stay. The building is so clean and nice. It has a homey feeling. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Even though my family was torn between sending him home and keeping him there, they assisted us in getting him situated with hospice and getting him home. Amazing staff. Definitely a 10/10. Highly recommend.

The food is good, and it feels like home here.The care I received is very positive for me to go back home. It is also closer to the hospital. This is my 4th stay here primarily for rehab, it feels like home. The therapists are outstanding: : Jay, Darnell, Omar,.Patrick, Gabby to name a few. The nursing staff are also excellent such as nurses Lesvia and Brenda and CNAS Melanie and Juanita.The facility is clean and the food is overall good. Jeff is a great leader of this facility, very involved. I wont hesitate to return in the future if needed.

My aunt A. Garcia received skilled services in February 2023 at Windsor of Harlingen on 820 Camelot Dr. The staff provided great care, the communication between nurses was excellent, we requested for her to be moved to another room that would benefit her to be able to have a grab bar in the bathroom on her left side since she fractured her right shoulder and she was accommodated immediately. Her therapist Maria Galvan OT was awesome as my cousin Janie mentioned how patient she was with her due to her dementia. Administration did daily morning rounds to check that her stay was good and checked the room for cleanliness. We are glad we choose Windsor for her care and highly recommend services to others in need of care.

Facility is clean but nursing staff is sub par as they do not check on my husband on a regular basis and don t seem to know when to administer his medications from one shift to the next. This has been addressed to all involved on several occasions. I do want to recognise one nurse,Jacob, as he is the only one that was attentive and checked on my husband and me regularly That man needs to receive as many accolades possible .

We had high hopes for this establishment since it came highly recommended from the hospital rehab staff. Horrible bedside manners, staff can t seem to get on the same page, first night had an incident with bugs ended up moving to 3 different rooms. My niece stayed with my Mom around the clock because the staff is not attentive at all. Take your loved one elsewhere .

My family and I are especially grateful to Windsor for allowing us to host her party on the facility grounds. I would like to personally thank the entire Windsor staff, specifically the nurses and certified nurse aides who work in the East Wing, including Carmen G., Daniella, Elizabeth, Lynette, Mannie, Mabel, Maria G., Marta, Martha, Mary W., Melinda, Natalia, Nora, Norma, Selene, Reyna, and Rusty. I also would like to give a special thanks to the administrator, Jeff Tate, and the activities directors, Celinda and John. My father currently resides at Retama NH and the nurses and staff provide excellent care for him and I also see their everyday attention they give to other residents. He is alert and is able to carry a conversation with staff and will express any disconcerns which they prompty attend to. The business staff is also very attentive to assisting the residents with any paperwork. They are attentive to caring for patients and testing patients for Covid. Thankfully, my dad remains covid free. Most important is the residents well-being and we are very happy with his current care.

My dad was supposed to have rehab here at the center for a few weeks. He was only there for a few days as a service was bad, and them violating his patient rights did not sit well with me or our family or friends. Any meds that he was prescribed cannot leave the hospital and had to stay there because it belongs to the hospital.

I recently had a relative attend this facility for a few weeks. Terrible bedside, our loved one was discharged with ZERO meds lefts on certain prescriptions on a Friday, which showed us the type of care they were really providing as they were responsible for his meds. This and many other reasons please take your loved one elsewhere!!!

My Dad has been there 2 years and 6 months. His dementia has increased . I was told they dont do one to one. All I ask is close monitoring. On their website it is listed as a service . Memory care and dementia care. I am a little disappointed because they have not really pointed out a plan for hos memory caredue to dementia.

After a total hip replacement, I was advised to go home for Covid 19 precautions. My friends said no, go to Retama Manor Nursing Center in Harlingen. I m so glad I did. The staff took all precautions for my safety, never vacillating during my week-long stay. The Nursing Staff answered my questions, monitoring my condition daily. The Therapy Staff explained every step of their exercises and gave me the confidence I needed to take that first step. I d pose scenarios and they d patiently show me how to respond and practice under their guidance. The food was so good, I asked the head cook for a recipe and she personally explained it to me. Every staff member treated me with the respect, dignity and care that they would have for a loved one. I highly recommend this facility

My mom was in for therapy after hip surgery worst place! Didnt get therapy at all. Was told she was able to walk 20 steps, she couldnt even stand. She was left in her bed soiled with bed pan for long period of time they kept telling her they would be back. She had the imprint in purple of the bed pan! She lost over 13lbs wouldnt eat. Came home worse with infection and scabies! Had to follow up with Dr for meds and therapy. Bad experience for my poor mom!

My dad has been here several times and he is currently a resident here. His first stay was due to a hip fracture in Indiana 3 years ago. He was not progressing well after receiving therapy in Indiana and Illinois. I decided to move him here to Harlingen to provide more help and continue Therapy. Once he started rehab with the Retama therapist the team identified what prevented his progress and provided adaptive measures to allow him to be independent again. After other life changing events he has lived here for 2 years now and has no complaints. I work here and visit buildings all over the country. I am very impressed with what we do well and look forward to coming back here. For me and my family I always recommend The Retama Manor - Harlingen Facility.

When I was in Harlingen Medical in ICU, I was told not to move for over 40 hours. Then when I was told I could move, my legs and feet would not mind me. I went Retama Nursing Home for physical and occupational therapy. I was there 15 days with 11 days of therapy. The place was clean and smelled good. Everyone who worked there were helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. The therapy sessions helped me get my life back. I regard the people and Retama highly. Thank you, Retama for the help and kindness shown to everyone I saw there. It is the best place in Harlingen if you need care, hope, encouragement, and peace of mind for your loved ones.

Clean, inviting and warm environment for the resident and family. Mom has been a resident for close to 3 yrs. This is such a wonderful place, the best nursing home I have ever visited. When you walk in, the place has a fresh clean smell, and everyone has a friendly face. All the employees have made me feel so welcomed. The rehab is also wonderful, everyone cared for the patients and they allowed me to have a wonderful experience there. I have had both my parents at the Harlingen Retama Manor Nursing Home and they have done a great job in taking care of them. My mother is still in the nursing home and they have done an amazing job keeping her stable and making her feel as if she is at home. A few years back, my father was admitted to this facility. He had spent 2 months in the hospital. 1 of those months he was in intensive care and on tube feedings. We knew that he was not in the best of health , but Retama staff was so good to him. Very attentive. Everybody from housekeeping, dietary, activities, nursing, rehab dept. Words can not express how very thankful we were for the care they provided. From going from the intensive care unit to rehab getting him to walk a few steps down the hall. He even got to eat some of his favorite foods. Though he did not live very long, but we are forever grateful for the care that he got at this facility. He loved getting all this attention from staff. I would and do recommend this facility to anyone. Once again, we will always be thankful for the care they provided for my/our dad in the last days of his life.

My grandma stayed here for several weeks. The place was super clean, no odor. Most importantly, the staff were very compassionate .There is no perfect facility but this one provided an excellent care. I can tell that they strive to give their best and when something is not up to par, management is on it right away to resolve the issue. Shout out to the rehab department - they re the BEST! Nurses and aides- we could not have been successful without your help.

My grandparents are in this location and the employees take my grandma s water bottles without her permission. My Grandpa s clothes goes missing and I have seen other patients wearing his clothes. This location is called the best in Harlingen which is sad since the employees are rough and rude to their patients.

This is the worse place to have your love one in need......i have my stepfather in this facility and the attention that he receives is ridiculous, the staff is not doing there job as their suppose to.....i will be calling the 1-800 and complain.... ENOUGH IS ENOUGH....if this facility doesnt start doing there duties the right way we will also being contacting the media and expose the way they treat their patients......

My husband was admitted for rehab. PT Stephanie and OT Daniel, Nurses Zully and Janie and the aides and housekeeping staff, I can honestly say the care was superb. Thank you Jose for setting up his stay.

My father was a patient here and his pills were supposed to be crushed. They were giving him whole pills. This was very careless, they could kill him. These nurses are supposed to check the chart and be sure to give them what they need and how they need it. They also almost gave him medication that wasnt his. It seems as though they are also under staffed because many people will be needing assistance and theyre is only a few nurses who are able to help at certain times. This is a terrible place. Dont let your family stay here.

Im sad to say that Dorothy Taylor LVN is the worst caretaker Ive ever encountered in a so called nursing or health care facility. I wouldnt even give them a 1 star due to her lack of concern for her patients. My pets receive better care and treatment than she gives a human! Im very saddened by this and feel sorry for any individual who has to encounter any type of interaction with this unprofessional individual.
