I recently stayed at this hotel and the experience exceeded all expectations. Very affordable, newly remodeled rooms. Everything was super clean and the lady at the front check-in desk was friendly and professional. Great customer service great rooms excellent location. I will definitely be staying here again. I recommend this room to anyone that wants to stay at a clean affordable hotel.

I did not like this hotel. I keep telling myself not to stay in these off brand no chain hotels!!! Just Look at the pictures and you decide. The bed was the best part it was big and soft but the pillows were flat and small. I repeatedly had issues with my room key not working and the other guests were loud and active all throughout the night. This place has no amenities and it s a shock because the price is so high. Avoid this place if you can. The only good thing is that it is close to all the restaurants and shopping but there are also other hotels that you will like. The room smelled damp and the water pressure was low. I will say they are renovating but this place needs a ton of work.

It was a miracle because we didnt find any place to stay. The hotel has what you need, a nice bed, nice bathroom, a refrigerator and a microwave, also a TV, but we were so tired that we didnt pay attention at all. The lady who gave us the service was kind and gentle. It worth the time and the price.

I usually don t post reviews if they re not good but I can t just go without sharing how awful it is here. I also usually add photos of my stay but we didn t even take any because of how terrible it was. We didn t feel safe or comfortable staying in this hotel at all. There s really nothing good I have to say. The bathroom door doesn t shut all the way, the bathroom ceiling is cracked and messed up, I saw and killed a roach in the room. The chair to sit in was torn, not a big deal I guess but just another thing to add to the list. And the only decent light in the place is in the bathroom so kind of useless in my opinion, my husband thought his shirt was green when it s actually blue, if that tells you anything. The door has to be firmly pulled shut, or it won t latch behind you which is slightly concerning. We were listening to someone from another room hacking up a lung all night. It smells bad in the room too, my husband wanted to go buy an air freshener. We were glad it was only to pass through town, we d never stay there again or recommend anyone else. We paid $91, originally $66 and then plus fees $74, after checking in early to sleep we were charged $15. It was awful and not worth almost $100.

$90.00 for a weekend room? I could have found a higher quality hotel if the friends I was visiting had asked me to find them a room. The pool had no water, either. Rooms: Small rooms with tiny bathrooms.

Ok ,so my opinion about the Plaza Inn and Suites. Literally the best location if you want to stay on the cheap on the land . You can easily trip to the island in 20 minutes or go inland to hit up some shops . Right there in Harlingen to South Padre or to McAllen. The only problem with Plaza inn is dont have a pool and could be a bit more hospitable. The price sells me everytime , but book ahead on an app for better prices . The price is reasonable for its location. Located next to a Stripes with Taco Lorado. Walgreens within walking distance. WingStop, and Pizza Hut like , bro , right there.

We stayed here a couple of months ago while traveling. Not sure why so many complaints. Check in and out was quick and easy. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was your typical motel room. Bed worked fine, bathroom was clean and the towels were ok too. The area was also pretty cool. I hope to be back after Thanksgiving.

The hotel is cheap compared to others nearby. My problem was that I dont speak English and the manager didnt speak Spanish. I arrived a little late and the offices were closed and they helped me through the window and I didnt like that I had to tell the manager my secret card number. because I couldnt get close to the payment terminal, despite that the manager was friendly and a colleague who arrived later did know Spanish and gave us directions to the room who were also very friendly, the room looks old and the drawers are broken there were no iron and there were very few towels but for one night just to sleep it was fine

Rooms were dingy. Beds were on the firmer side. The door was hanging sideways slightly so it scrapped on the floor when you opened it. Kids outside in the lot smoking cigarettes. The place itself was a little rough looking. But the room seemed clean enough. You get what you pay for here.

This place is terrible. I had a late night from work and drove in from Austin at 4a.m. I needed a quick place to lay my head for the night tired from the drive. I accepted the 85.00 charge when it had a 55.00 online. We got to the room where there were no towels and a guest phone that was not connected to anything. The phone had no line or jack, simply sat there. I assume to give the illusion of service. How the rooms are set up, we had to walk to office through courtyard next morning to get towels and were greeted with rudeness. This indian family seem to live there in this hotel as they had some prayer circle with others happening in the morning. The beds were uncomfortable and room smelled of old water. To add the cherry on the entire horrible experience, the fridge did not work and left our items hot and the television did not get any channels but a few valley local ones. Never stay here. We were better off pulling over and sleeping in the car for a quick shut eye. Horrible place.

We stayed there in June 2021. The lock on the door was broken. There were homeless staying behind the Motel, when you walked out side they were asking for money or trying to help you so you would pay them.

Didnt get the Booking .com price. Pretty ghetto. No couch; like it was viewed. No table, no coffee pot, no blow dryer. Nice wake up call at 5am, gunshots and stampede down the stairwell next to my room. Trust me you dont want to see photos.

Rented the hotel online when I pulled up room was ready got my room key in less than 10 minutes at a late hour which to me was great timing. room was clean there was no Ruckus outside no problems quiet mellow no hassle from any of the employees i ejoyed my stay looking forward to staying with you again sometime Plaza Hotel.

Completely overcharged for more than what the website and when I called in said it was. Not only that, the hot water for the shower and sink didnt even work at all. Not to mention I didnt get a wink of sleep due to the door not closing at all. I legitimately had to block the door with whatever desks/chairs were in the room. Beyond the worst places, Ive ever stayed at. I also believe the phones are disconnect because when I tried to call the front desk there was no signal.

The cost for the room with 2 beds is $79 and looks terrible. As soon as we arrived there were cockroaches on the walls. The floors were dirty with the previous guests sunflower seeds and hairs all over the side of the bed. Only one desk light works and both are broken. Mattresses are also very dirty. Good thing were only staying here for one night

DISGUSTING ROOMS AND HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!! I found weed and bloodstains all over the room! When I asked for another room they said they couldnt do anything for me since the rooms were all booked I then proceeded to ask for different sheets but the denied because the maid was gone already. Now I am stuck sleeping in a dirty room. when I showed the lady at the counter the weed she made us take the weed and leave her counter since she wasnt able to help . I will never come back again!!!

Not worth $60+. The bathrooms are cheap, the towels are cheap, the rooms are average at best, the pillows dont even have sheets. Just spend 10$ more at a better place. 70$ can get you FAR better than this place. Only stay if you have no other choice. Good luck

The room was horrible. The linens/sheets smelled like old gym clothes. Super sweaty & as if they hadnt been washed in months. On top of that I got bit by what my guess would be bed bugs. We all have bites with horrible rashes on them. I know this place is cheap in comparison to others but there is never a good excuse for not washing the sheets and cleaning the mattreses. Will never come back here again.

Super sweet and nice owners in the front office! Decent place if its just for a night or two. Location is great. Pretty clean. Could use a little more lighting in the rooms and a bit of a paint job but other than that its pretty quiet and walking distance to burger king, whaat! Walking distance to convenient stores and more! Safe environment for family. King size bed was very comfy! Pool is private away from the freeway which is a plus for us! Will be back!

Rented for two nights. As I was parking I noticed 2 women standing in hallway. I was barely parking turned off my car when 1 of the women was nocking on my window asking for a cigarette !!!...the room was not very clean and well the hair dryer..... picture says a thousand words......next morning a White Male was going thru a window to get excess to a room in a corner while a Woman waited by the door.....No breakfast either.....NEVER AGAIN !!!!!!!

I saw small cockroaches in the room once I got settled in, ice machine wasnt working, and room needs to be remodeled. Not worth $60. A/C barely worked. Forgot to take pictures and beds arent that great either. Cable box was messed up sometimes Id have to hit it, move it or unplug it and plug it back in.

This hotel sucks. Room has holes in the bathroom. Electrical outlets are loose. The bathroom light doesnt have a cover and can see into it. TV has interrupting interference from an unknown source. Doesnt provide continental breakfast and had ticks and small roaches. Price was not worth it plus no veteran discount were given.

This place is terrible a living nightmare, here I go 1st- hot as hell a/c not coolin n it was about 98 degrees hotttt outside , 2nd- fridge not working ,3rd -Roaches, 4th- shower water very little took me a dam good while to bathe, 5th vanity sink clogged up when I was using it, 6th no wifi lady at frt desks gave me a password that never worked, 7th no phone had to use my cell phone to call frt desk , 8th noisy kids yelling n adults arguing late at night around 1am, 9th oh n stupid card keys took forever to open room , 10th they have a gallon of milk n juice for everyone stale cereal nasty pastrys dirty dinning area that was stuiped saying they have breakfast. Learn my lesson never get a room from India personal they rent out the worst rooms out n dont even care if you complain they looked n said nothing.

you should bring your own light bulbs as the ones in the rooms must be 20 watts.That is if you want to see. And maybe ear plugs for when you use the restroom as the ceiling fan resembles a jet taking off. The sheets had stains.. And forget the breakfast but the coffee was ok.

NO! To begin with the price is too high for the accommodations. Room decor was horrible, pink sheets, maroon bed spread, blue towels, and tile floor with some cleaning agent that made it sticky. Fixtures in the bathroom were corroded, vent light/fan was lacking fan. Breakfast was less than adequate. How cereal in distribution tubes so they were stale, but pastries were per packaged so not stale. Nothing hot available at breakfast (eggs, bacon, nada). Staff was kind and that the reason for one star. Not for a family!!!

Clean rooms friendly staff . I personally think they should charge more for their rooms and update the bedding . The bedspreads were outdated . I think this was a privately owned hotel which I am sure makes it more costly to update things such as bedding than it would a large corporate chain . Maybe you could contact the hotel impossible guy and get some help from him . Owning and operating your own business is alot of hard work . I know I have done .

Where do I start lol first paid 60$ for the room..not that bad but had to be changed rooms because the room they gave me had dirty sheets and asked them for an extra pair of sheets so I could change them at least but nope young guy at front desk replies only the housekeeper can change the sheets...ok..and I tell him well yall gave me a dirty room so he moves me and the a/c is so loud cant even hear the TV..the bed has a stain on it..the complimentary soap is so old like no one has ever been in the room or like theyve had it forever but oh well I guess thats what 60$ gets you now adays was gonna stay a fews days but NO THANKS NEVER AGAIN..TOTALLY NOT KID FRIENDLY and asked for a room downstairs and the guy at the front desk replies the rooms downstairs are for locals like really??? The hotel was pretty easy to find and is on very good location. As I was traveling, the hotel is right on the exit and there are plenty of good restaurants on the walking distant. The room was pretty tidy, smelled fresh and up to date, looked like they recently remodeled. The beds were comfortable and the room had all the amenities we needed. They also have a clean pool and good continental breakfast included. Its pretty impressive to have all this service in an affordable (cheap) rate. Definitely looking forward for the next stay. If you are looking for all this service for a very good rate, i strongly recommend Plaza Inn & Suites.

You get what you pay for.... It was ok. The outside looked decent. Upon entering the room, Im sure because of the humidity, it stank (reminding me of moth balls). Once the AC was on and room cooled it wasnt as bad. The room looked clean. There arent enough towels in the room for 4 ppl, the bathroom light bulb isnt even the correct one. Its supposed to be those big cone-like ones the size of your palm,they have a regular bulb so the bathroom is dark. Typically when at a hotel, we always remove the comforter and blanket (knowledge from working at a hotel we know they wash them once a year, twice at best) and my mother found a lot of hair all over the sheets.... were assuming from the blanket and comforter. As I said you get what you pay for-hotels/motels are no different. I wouldve opted for staying at a better one but we only need it for one night. However they should walk around the building. I stepped in dog poop within the first hour of checking in.

Absolutely disgusting. Everything had stains on them. Pillows, sheets, clean towels. Worst place Ive ever encountered. 11 out of 10 would not bang.

I travel throughout Texas on a regular basis and this is one of the nicest hotels in that area. Great price, great service, and very clean rooms. I would highly recommend this hotel to travelers.

I enjoyed my stay at the plaza inn. i am allergic to smoke. all the rooms are remodeled so its there is no stick of smoking in the rooms. to add to that the room i had was tiled so smoking smell which = no smoking stick that is usually present in carpated room. I slept well and they had a small continental breakfast so im not complaining. quality rooms for the price i paid.
