Absolutely enjoyed my experience at this gem. We went on Friday afternoon and enjoyed their buffet, which included a small salad bar, chicken fried steak, fried catfish, green beans, corn, a vegetable medley, and some other greens. It was delicious and the staff was very friendly. Kid-friendliness: Waitress brought a high chair and plastic utensils over. She also put the littles drinks in a styrofoam cup. As a parent, I enjoy and appreciate all these little things.

Me & my hubby went this past Friday we wanted to try it out for the first time . Since we see it packed all the time . Honestly it was a disappointment it looked like a drunk person just cooked up some random stuff & just put it out there ! The fish could have been more crispy. Dessert was banana pudding?? We aint in nursing home . They had peach cobbler but you had to pay extra to get that, so wth is a buffet for then if you have to pay extra.Am really surprised how they manage to still be open . Would never go here again not for no $35 for 2 ppl . Should have gone to whaterburger instead right across the street.

GREATEST comfortable clean, Parking: I really go there for the BUTTER beans and ham soup, with corn bread, real Southern food, and the farm raised catfish ? Like eating out in new Orleans, great food highly recommend !

Salt lovers dream. Everything on the buffet was salty including the sausage. Italian dressing for the salad was even salty. Take away the cooks salt shaker and then this would be a great place to eat. Decent prices!! Great service. Friendly staff! Food : 3/5

Good service.. good prices. Some of the SALTIEST food I have ever had. If they take away the cooks salt shaker then they would have something really special here. (Everything was salty except the lettuce, cookies and pudding. Everything on the buffet including the sausage links)

Definitely not a fan of buffets. However, this was good. I was riding with one of my reps and he suggested it for lunch. He raved about the fried catfish and mashed potatoes and gravy. Place was absolutely packed but we were able to grab just about the only available table when we walked in. Service is immediate and Definitely needs to be complimented. Again, not my thing but for what it is....its good. The Enchiladas were also worth mentioning. Finally, probably the best thing I had was the banana pudding. That was great!!

First time here their buffet had catfish, chicken fried steak and enchiladas. Mashed potatoes, okra, rice, green beans, gravy, and beans. All homemade it was all excellent. Wow the best food in corpus christi but theyre only open monday thru friday from 11am to 2pm. Definitely recommend and Definitely will be back. Update 7 31 2023: This has been my 5th visit and tried different things on their buffet by day. This food is home cooked and awesome they have great desserts as well. You must come try the food here and I guarantee you will love it and be a regular. But theyre only open from 11am to 2pm Monday thru Friday so make some time for lunch. Definitely recommend

Fantastic local place! All you can eat, home cooked lunch, and very affordable. This restaurant does offer orders too (hamburgers, etc.). However, we opted for the buffet which had chicken fried steak, Catfish, chicken strips, sides, salads, etc. Great food, especially for the price. It was busy given all of the local plant workers were coming in. Food stayed fresh. Service was good too. Would love to have this place close to home. Great option!

Okay my wife and I drove from Rockport to try this place. I myself was not disappointed. The place may be small and the buffet may not be some huge variety like other places. But what they have is goodOl southern cooking. It is a working mans dream lunch establishment. Mac and cheese was great. The Dorito casserole was most excellent. Chicken tenders very good. Mashed taters and gravy better than most. Price per person is fair. They got four out of five stars because there was no desert table. But I should have known it was going to be good by the fact folks started getting there twenty minutes before they opened. Within fifteen minutes of opening the place was packed. It was well worth the drive from Rockport.

This place is like stepping into my Southern grandmothers kitchen. They have the best mashed potatoes I have ever had out . The menu changes around , but they always have chicken fried steak , fried catfish, and a variety of vedgetables. Its not a huge buffet but delicious . The servers do get busy , but they are nice. Not really any atmosphere, there are always plant workers there for lunch , and just a busy place , but we go for the food.

Tried this place for the first time today as per a friends recommendation. They have an all you can eat buffet which had the best tasting crunchy fresh catfish, hot off the kitchen as part of the buffet. The sweet tea was great! If you enjoy eating homemade comfort food, this is something you definitely want to try. I cant recommend just one thing because everything was great! It gets pretty packed with people, but we had no problem finding a place to sit. People are constantly coming and going, which suggests just how good their food is. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. You definitely should try this establishment. Make sure to take note of the daily menu options and hours of operation.

Great buffet lunch! We came in right at closing time (1:45) and they still let us sit and enjoy the buffet. The fried catfish is well seasoned and my husband highly recommends the fried okra. The loaded mashed potatoes were great too, and the salad bar was fresh.

We got the buffet. Catfish so fresh there is no fish sense non after taste. Moist chicken strips , flavorful green beans, home style mashed potatoes. A salad on the side. Sweet iced tea. They also had chicken fried steak ,but I didnt try. I was full. Great service.
