Highly Recommended!!! Ted Smith and his legal assistants Carol and Crystal are highly recommended. It has been a long road, the state system is so behind. 2 1/2 yrs to be exact! During this time, every phone call was answered or a call back was prompt, Without exception. When it came time for my hearing Ted Smiths expertise really made the difference. The brief for the hearing cited laws for each of my conditions that supported my stance and I believe made all the difference in me getting a favorable outcome. There is no way I could have known what or how to do any of this on my own. You cannot go wrong having Ted Smith and his legal team (Carol and Crystal) in your corner. It was a rough start but a smooth finish. Our original attorney left and was replaced by another attorney who left... The buck stopped with Ted and Coe. Coe is a force, shes diligent, organized, and very communicative. Brittany is a strong and calming presence to sit next to in court. Keitsha (I know the spelling is wrong ) has always been very pleasant and upbeat. Ted took care of business in a very professional and competent manner. UPDATED REVIEW (01MAY2024): After leaving the original review May 2023, Ms. Coe Selvaggio and Mr. Ted Smith took over our case and the difference was like night and day. They both kept an open form of communication with my husband and I and we truly appreciate the both of them! They made sure to keep us in the loop with the process and even ended up getting us a bouquet of chocolates once everything was finalized. I m changing my original review of 1 star to 5 because of Ms. Selvaggio and Mr. Smith and how they handled our case. Thank you to the both of them for everything! -3 April 2023: Originally went in to inquire about the process for my husband to adopt my son. The lawyer (Mr. Don Morehart) seemed knowledgeable about the process, so we decided to start the process and put down the upfront fee of $3500. -19 April 2023: I reached out to inquire about where we were in the process, to which I was told that they were waiting on us to send in the intake forms . We were given a questionnaire to complete, but never instructed to email it back to them. I emailed the paralegal (Ms. Catherine Bailey) back and forth multiple times this day. -24 April 2023: Emailed my husband s and my completed intake forms to the paralegal. -1 May 2023: Still had not heard from Ms. Bailey, so I emailed her again inquiring about the status of our case. Never did receive a response. -3 May 2023: Called the front desk to inquire about the status of our case. I was informed that my paralegal was in a meeting and I would receive a call back. This did not happen. -4 May 2023: Called again since I did not receive a call back the day prior. This is when I was informed that I had a new paralegal named Brittany (possibly a different spelling, not sure) and that she was finishing up the draft of the legal document that was going to be sent to my son s biological father to terminate his rights. -16 May 2023: I called the front desk inquiring, once again, about the status of everything. I was told the draft was sent to the lawyer for review and I would be receiving it soon. I asked about a time frame and one could not be provided. I voiced my concern that it had been nearly a month since we sent our completed intakes in and we still didn t have an answer. Whomever I was speaking to at the front desk (can t recall her name currently) told me that Brittany would be in touch and better communicate with us. Today is May 24, 2023, exactly a month after we sent in our intakes with absolutely no idea what the status is of our case. Our case is pretty cut and dry my son s biological father is willing to sign away his parental rights and have my husband adopt my son but for whatever reason, it seems as if this law firm is quick to take your money but not actually assist you in any way.

I was charged for things that never happened.. I paid for court appearances. I never ever went to court. If I sent an email to get a statement so I could pat. I was charged for that. Over $5000 for a divorce that never happened.. Theyll squeeze all they can out of you.. If you email or text for an update or even to discuss your statement theyll charge for that.. The paralegal made a lot of money for nothing.. Never not 1 trip to court in over almost 2 years. Rip off

I had 1500 retainer and extra 1500 in ridiculous fees. I work with Nicholas Smith. He never get any work done. He calls me to setup pointless meeting to sit in a room and ask me how I am doing just to charge me $325 a hour. Funny how my ex wife did more work then him. To find out Nicholas Smith quit the firm and was never a sign a new lawyer. Then firm never had my interest in mind. Started spreading slander cause my ex wife was upset and making up stories. I lost my house, my kids. Lost everything cause the refuse to do their job.

I used Ted Smith law firm more than two years ago. After talking to one of the female lawyers in their office I signed a contract that she was gonna represent me in court. I deposited $3,500 fees for the retainer and I agreed to pay $350 / an hour. This was during the pandemic so the process of going to court was easy. After a couple months I called my lawyer because I have some questions about my divorce, one of the person who answered the phone said that my lawyer left and she wasn t gonna represent me anymore. I asked if I can get a refund but they told me that there wasn t no money left I asked why and how come I didn t have any money left anymore. A couple weeks later I received a letter that My new representative was attorney Raymond Penneton. I didn t have no choice because I didn t have no money anymore so I continued to communicate with them. This divorce case didn t go to court because my ex and I agreed through mediation but I was billed a couple times. Finally they asked me to go to their office and sign on the final documents and I paid all my dues. I remember the receipt was very long.and a week later they billed me amounting $75 or $90 after I paid everything. As far as I was concerned I wasn t satisfied with the Ted Smith law firm service maybe he is good to represent with social security case but I would not recommend him for military divorce.

I want to first start off by saying Mr. Panneton and his team were professional and able to work with me while being out of state. Mr. Panneton was able to build a case that reversed custodial and noncustodial roles between my ex-wife and I. As an active duty military father, living out of state, this was a very long shot however, Mr. Panneton was able to win my case. This was my second time using Ted Smith Law Group, I filed my original divorce with them however, that lawyer no longer works for them. So when I was looking to get a modification for the original divorce decree, Mr. Panneton was who I worked with. The only issue I ran into was when it came to paying off my account balance. I called on Feb. 28, 2023 and was told my final balance was $2,268.72 which I paid. The very next day I received an email stating there was a glitch in their system that had counted my monthly payments twice and that I owed an additional $1,857. This after I had been making payments for 2 years.

I hired Ted Smith Law group back in October of 2022 to handle my divorce and custody case. If there were an option for zero stars, Id leave probably negative 10 stars! Ted Smith Group placed me with one of their lawyers, who when it was finally time to do a sit-down consultation, did not even bother to look at my face let alone ask me about my story. However, this greedy attorney was quick to practically beg for my money then scurry me out of his office to meet with another, obviously, more important client! I was barely there for 15 minutes when he told me that they dumped this caseload on his lap that very morning and that I was encroaching upon another appointment. I always try to give a person or business a fair shake before just writing them off completely as bad for business. So, I asked them to provide me with a different attorney. Ted Smith actually facilitated the new attorneys intake appointment. I left satisfied; however, as time went on this attorney, Mr. Don Morehart, and his good for nothing paralegal, Cat, proved themselves to be shams and incompetent people. Don fumbled at my temp orders hearing, when he failed to enter my key witness (CPS agent) into evidence and instead choosing to call her at the last minute to appear at my hearing. She got thrown out as his attorney, like any competent lawyer, got the witness barred from giving testimony at the hearing. He also had no evidence of my exs alcoholic and abusive behavior as he forgot to ask for these items during discovery. He had nothing proving he went AWOL in the Army as he failed to use the military investigators as witnesses. Resulting in my ex being awarded EVERY weekend and holiday with my two-year-old daughter. DO NOT hire this firm!! All they are interested in is nickel and diming you for every penny while making your life a living Hell. I am not one who complains too often, however, I feel it my responsibility to warn others when I feel a person is doing more harm than good.

I found Ted Smith on Google after reading all the reviews from his firm compared to others I chose his firm. I with another firm from out of state and was getting no where on my SSN Disability nothing but a big run around. When I found Ted Smith I was given Carole Mandell who walked me through the process and she took her time an did not rush me to sign with them. I took all the papers home an read thru them brought them back the next day. Again Carole took the time to meet with me an answer my questions. I cannot write a short review and simply state Mr. Ray Panneton and his paralegal Ms. Barbie King did a great job representing me. In early 2021 during the Pandemic they were always available with a live voice. They also refunded a portion of my escrow, eventhough they helped me so much with my personal limitations. As a client, I didnt expect to be updated very often. I didnt worry, they didnt place stress on me. Ms. Barbie, Mr. Rays paralegal always greeted me as a person over the phone or by email. I am medically speech impaired, but Ms. Barbie was patient, polite and I never felt she avoided speaking to me. This was not the first law firm that had worked on my case, I will not hesitate to ask for their representation again. I came through my case with the help of Mr. Ray because I couldnt get documents to him, but he sent someone to my home to get them and return them. At first, I was hesitant to try with a law firm but talking to another veteran, he told me about this firm and paying them was worth it because they get the judgment in your favor. One person I do have to give a very positive review is Ms. Carol (Igalang at magpasalamat). She took my case and got it done which I am so appreciative and Blessed for her helping me finally win my case!!! My trial did not go well. Mr. Panneton did not ask questions of the plaintiff that would have proven our case. He cross examined once about one particular claim but not the other claims. Mr. Panneton clearly did not know what questions to ask even after the plaintiff was clearly lying about everything we were suing about. I provided him with all the documents for the case and he never asked any questions about anything. He did not have questions written down for the trial pertaining to our claims. A lot of what we were suing for was not addressed during the trial. The plaintiffs lawyer asked us questions about everything we were suing for and our lawyer just sat there, without saying anything. He rested prematurely while the plaintiffs lawyer made us look like the perpetrators. In my opinion, our case was dismissed due to lack of cross examination by Mr. Panneton, his unpreparedness, and his lack of aggression. I thought Mr. Panneton was prepared until we got to court. Communication about our case could have been better. A lot of what we were billed for was paperwork correspondence and him completing paperwork on the case. The plaintiffs lawyer came to his house the day before to discuss their case, and we only did a zoom meeting under one hour and had a few minutes to talk on the day of trial which was not helpful to our case. I have so many regrets about hiring this lawyer. Mr. Panneton was not the right lawyer for this case. I would never personally hire him again.

I started my disability application a while back. In 2017 to be more precise. I was 39. 4 different kinds of arthritis engulfed my entire body. Knowing my age you know I was in for a fight. Ted Smith Law Group stuck by me every step of the way. I even got retropay added to my backpay..... all the way back to 2015... you think anyone else can help you fight for what youre owed? Not me! I am 100% pleased and would highly recommend.

The Ted Smith law group were extremely helpful when it came to dealing with my divorce. Their office location is a very comforting and welcoming environment and the staff is always professional and helpful. I had the pleasure of working with Raymond Panneton as my attorney and Cat Bailey as his paralegal. I just have to say I couldn t have asked for a better attorney. Attorney Ray was very genuine and always gave his most honest opinion which I truly appreciated. These last several months have been trying with the passing of my baby sister. Her girls, my nieces, and myself have been struggling. I was very well represented by Raymond Panneton with Ted Smith Law Group. Raymond is an excellent lawyer and I don t give that up easily. I had high expectations going into my very tough Personal Injury claim and Raymond delivered above and beyond those expectations. First of all, communication is very important to me and Raymond never missed a beat, his timing is impeccable and accurate, he was never late nor did he leave me wondering where I stood on my claim. He was very articulate and concise in answering all my questions. Also, I found that he was always assessable though he has a busy schedule. Second, I needed a lawyer that was aggressive and represented me as if he was fighting for his own family, with that in mind, Raymond was able to secure a settlement far above my expectations that helped me and my family in a very tough situation. I very rarely give reviews because I have such high expectations in professionalism and results but this is one of those rare times a Five Star review is warranted. One last word on Raymond s performance as my lawyer; the attention to detail and clarity given in written documentation is a breath of fresh air, not to mention all verbal communication was to the point and never inaccurate in content. The Ted Smith Law Group has helped me out with a number of different cases & has given me a tremendous amount of solid legal advice. Most recently, my attorney Raymond (Ray) Panneton helped me win a huge settlement in an auto claim. He was incredibly aggressive and tactical in his negotiation with the counter parties insurance company. From the onset he established a plan of attack, told me exactly what they would, how they would negotiate, and how we would respond. It was like getting to read the movie script up front and then watching it play out. He more than doubled their initial settlement offer, which is pretty unheard of. My husband and I went to the process of establishing a Living Will and POA with some understanding and a lot of questions. Our initial contact with Ms. Barbie, she was quick to send us paperwork that we needed within an hour and informed us to contact with any questions. My experience with this law firm has not been good, they charged me for things during my divorce that were not done. I am flabbergasted at how this law firm treats people and lags on their cases. It took forever for them to get my divorce finalized. My original attorney left the firm without my knowledge I only found out he was gone because I did a follow up on my case. I poured my heart out to this firm telling them so many sensitive aspects of my life in relation to my case. Not only was I hurt in my marriage but I was also hurt by this law firm. Once I no longer wanted their representation they finally gave my file to me, they did not put all of the documentation for services that they claimed was done. Nonetheless they gave it to me. Some people write reviews because they are angry and want revenge, I am writing mine because I don t want another person to have a drawn out case such as I have experienced.

I was searching for an attorney here in town and came across some that didn t appeal to me. So, a friend of mine told me about the Ted Smith Law Group. I said to myself I had to stop by. When I first stepped into their office, i had no idea what i was doing in the process for disability. They talked me through every step, ensured me they would do their part as I would have to do mine. Anytime an update about my case came in they were very quick to reach out and update me, and if I recieved something before they did I updated them and once again would let me know the next step in the process. They did their part and let me know I would have to do mine in order to get the best result. Highly recommend! The in-office meeting with the judge was very convenient so I didnt have to travel!
