There is some construction going on. However, it is still nice to see nature among within the city. The trail does have some off the map paths. Its pretty easy to get to from Parr Park, when in doubt check the GPS.

Super cool, great idea! The kids enjoyed painting their own rocks and going to place them along the trail. Our trip was not as we expected as the mosquitos were CRAZY, everywhere, and in swarms. No amounts of bug spray helped. This area is in need of a spray. There is also a lot of construction so not as nice and peaceful of a walk currently.

This rock exhibit will amaze you! Parr Park Rock Trail set a Guinness World Record for the largest display of painted rocks in the world. Tons of the rocks have some stunning designs, including cartoons, animals, motivational quotes and much more. The display also includes a COVID memorial, and many of the rocks were added to remember those who passed away during the pandemic. At the beginning of the display, there is a larger rock that tells where certain themes are located in the display. There is also a rock that certifies that the trail set a Guinness World Record. You are more than encouraged to bring a rock and leave it here. The display meanders around a trail with a surface that provides more cushion for your feet than concrete. Youll likely see some other walkers and bikers come through the display.

This is such an awesome trail. Its very short but its paved and very lovely. We ride bikes and walk the trail comfortably. Its like a local art gallery of both state side and international additions. I love coming to this trail and seeing all the new additions. Weve recently added our own rocks to the trail and plan to build onto it over the years!

So many rocks and heart and soul poured out upon the trail here. It is very very lovely and wonderful and made for a nice walk with a lovely woman. The only thing better would be to have held her hand and read little bits of history after history. It leads also to a church where some kids could play some basketball and some other small trails to keep walking along. I parked in the neighborhood beside it on the street but there are some other places you could go to meet. I recommend it highly as Ive never really seen something quite as cool as 26,000 paintings left to nature. Maybe even bring your own rock as well and say where you are from!

There is a very large creek that runs through the property. During the summer season they have a area for the kids to play in the water park the weather comes up under ground a sprays up and gets the kids wet. Lots of fun you can also bring your dog must remain on their leash. Have fun and dont forget to visit the Guinness book of world records Painted rock trail very cool!!!

This is a great paved trail filled with 24,459 painted rocks. All painted rocks are really pretty, and arranged along both sides of the trail leading to a large Covid memorial center area. We did a bike ride and spend great deal of time to see these rocks and painting. Unique and amazingly beautiful! It is highly recommended for good walking trip so that you can see them all in a steady way.

*** UPDATE *** As of 09/2021, Part Park Rock Trail is recognized by Guinness World Records as the Largest Display of Painted Pebbles. Parr Park Rock Art Trail is absolutely something you need to see to believe while in Grapevine (photos will never do this place justice). The level of skill some of the artist have put on display is astounding plus the shear number of rocks that have been donated to this project is mind-blowing (it just goes on-and-on). And whats even better is that you can contribute your own painted rocks to this massive collection. FYI, its far easier to park at the Church at the Cross parking lot and walk here (probably a 7-10 minute walk) than it is to get here from Parr Park.

The trail is very shaded its pretty during spring and fall. Summer is to hot . However the painted rock trail is very cool this where people find different shaped rocks and theyll paint them and put a clear coat lacquer on them and bring them out there and set them down as a gift to the trail theres everything from Snoopy the minions all kinds of different things out there were out there today and people made a real big rainbow with rocks its really a neat thing to see and if you take your time go out there and walk it is very nice very cool I highly suggest this trail its one of our favorites.

My friend and I traveled over 400 miles to visit the Parr Park in Grapevine! We live in NM and were part of a rock painting group. We wanted to see the collection of painted rocks on the walking trail and contribute some of ours! We were not disappointed. We saw some amazing works of art all along the trail. It was fun to see the variety and different painting skills on all sizes of rocks. Its incredible to see all the details that can be painted on a simple rock! We recommend taking and using bug spray

Parr park rock trail is an amazing and peaceful trail. I came from Az, specifically to see all the talent that goes into the rocks that are painted. I definitely believe this little place is worth the destination trip in itself. I love that this rock art trail was to give people a place to go during the height of the pandemic and now a place to enjoy talent and peace, possibly even some inspiration to paint. Please people out there enjoy the art and leave it on this amazing trail.

Parr Park is such an amazing place for this community. Actually, it has become so much more than that. It really has become a DESTINATION! I traveled from Arizona to Grapevine just to visit this rock trail. From conception to 1000s of beautiful artsy painted rocks for everyone to enjoy, Parr Park was a miracle in a time of lockdown that brought smiles to everyone who visited it. I plan to return to see how much more it has become.

Parr Park Art Trail is an amazing place to visit. I traveled all the way from Arizona to see this magnificent display of painted rocks. I was blown away with the talent and detail in these rocks . The story behind the start of this trail is heart warming. It all started during a time our nation needed some kindness and something to look forward to. It shows how one simple act of kindness can explode and touch so many different people. Definitely a place worth visiting and watching the joy it brings to visitors of all ages. I can t wait to make it back and see how it has grown and developed .

What a great place to visit! The students in PK-5 at Furneaux Elementary in the CFBISD happily contributed @450 rocks to this art exhibit today. They were all excited to learn that their artwork would be part of something so important, on full display for people to come see any time they wanted to. If you are interested in finding this specific section of the Parr Park Rock Trail, it is easily reached by parking at the Church of the Cross and just beyond the first bend after the purple signs where you enter the exhibit. We hope you enjoy our students artwork, we enjoyed creating it for you!

We love this local art installation/outdoor activity for the family! Thousands of tiny masterpieces that represent everything from classic cartoons (The Jetsons, Betty Boop, Loony Toons), Disney Parks and attractions, and video game characters to local school mascots and Broadway Playbills. Beautiful trails that are perfect for kids and families who want an easy hike, but close enough to other Grapevine Parks trails to extend to a more moderate hike. Ive never seen so many painted rocks in one place, its honestly amazing because it just keeps going and going. We see new rocks and sections each time we go. If you havent been yet, youre missing out!

As an artist and contributor of many painted rocks to this park, I am beyond grateful to be a part of such an amazing and awe inspiring project! Chris Penny has worked incredibly hard to get to where this trail is now and each story he tells how excited a certain person is just by looking at an image on a rock is beyond imaginable. During trying times, this art trail has put smiles on so many faces. I m thrilled each time I get the honor of painting another rock to be placed on the Parr Park Rock Art Trail!

Incredible trail of painted rocks. Was started during the pandemic to help spread kindness and positivity to the community. As of May 2021 over 11,000 works of art are on the trail. Rocks have been sent in from all over the world, including Australia, Canada, Europe, Asia, Russia, and most of the 50 states. The trail has been featured in numerous media outlets, magazines, and even the Washington Post. Rocks shouldn t be taken as they are for everyone to enjoy. Trail goers are free to leave painted rocks of their own. It s extremely kid friendly, just make sure to stay on the trail. As with any wooded area, there is poison ivy and an occasional snake. Would recommend parking at the Church of the Cross off of 121. It s roughly a 1/10th of a mile walk from their parking lot. From the main part of Parr Park (near the splash park) - head over the big bridge and into the woods. It s roughly a 3/4 of a mile walk from the splash park.

This is a really cool section of trail. The address listed by Google is incorrect and will take you to a residential address with no nearby access to the trail. Several people were confused and parked at the end of Heritage Avenue wondering how to access the trail when I went. Ive recommended that Google update the address to reflect the actual location. The Church at the Cross has a connecting sidewalk close to the trail head which is located exactly where the Google Marker shows it.

This place is wonderful. All the artists who took the time to paint the rocks did great. We had read an article about a family that had been personally delivering the rocks, since March 2020, right around quarantine. The article noted that there were rocks from all of the United States. You can park at Parr Park, but its a bit of a hike (on a cement trail), about 3 miles round trip. Next time, well try parking at the Church at the Cross, its right next to on the the painted trails entrances.
