I was truly disappointed. Wasn t at all what I expected based on the reviews and ratings. The service wasn t all that great, from the moment we walked into the establishment, the signage indicating see the host to be seated was as small as this font. The guy who redirected us to the host who was actually the cashier, thought embarrassing us was funny. Then our server, Jose never checked on us. So, si eres Latino; este lugar no es para nosotros por la manera que tratan. Es para aquellos no saben lo que en verdad es ser latino y lo que es en verdad la comida Mexicana! Que decepción!!

Food is pretty bad and the frozen margarita was not good at all. Used to frequent this place 20 years ago and it was awesome. Brought some visitors here that just flew into DFW and I bragged about the food. I was very mistaken. My Milanese was burnt crust and the meat inside hard and dried out. I didnt want to say anything in front of my visitors. But in out post dinner discussion found out we were all disappointed. Sorry for the bad review Esparzas, but you need to do better and check your cooks. Eating out is to expensive for this poor quality.

I ve never seen a more efficient staff! I swear we d order something or ask for something (including the check) and it was on our table in 30-seconds. It was crazy. We have a very friendly hostess and waitress as well. The food itself was good, not great. The salsa was shockingly watery and my main core was pretty decent. All in all we walked away content but again, we just weren t blown away by anything.

Ive eaten a lot of food but the veggie fajitas were one of the best things Ive ever eaten! Im not vegetarian but I did want a sensible lunch. The veggies were grilled and still crisp and served with tortillas, guac, tomatoes and cheese. I had time limiting myself to one tortilla but I did for the sake of my waistline. I was there for a team lunch. We were 9 and lunch was in full swing but they took good care of us. Parking: There seemed to be plenty but I could see how the lot could get full.

The margaritas are delicious! I always seen the place and wanted to try it. Unfortunately the food was meh and my spouse and I ended up spending $70 for 2 margaritas, a small queso, and not warm/hot( the food came out way too fast) . We will not go back but if we do, we will just stick with the margaritas and appetizers. The overall experience was not worth $70

The reviews were amazing so my family and I had dinner here tonight. Our experience was far from par having Carlos P. As a server. He charged us double the price of our margaritas, without asking us. The manager Carlos made it right, which I m thankful for. He also did not ask for the size of queso or guacamole we wanted. If you go here, double check your receipt. They tried charging us $60.00 for 3 margaritas. The food was average, but the atmosphere was great. I m grateful for Carlos, the manager, who wanted to make it right.

I don t spend a lot of time writing reviews, but I felt like my experience at Esparzas warranted it. We frequent Esparzas at least once a week sometimes more. Normally, we sit at the bar with Edgar and Abel. Today, the bar was full so we opted for a table, something we haven t done in years. Our server was Raquel. This young lady could not have been more kind and pleasnt and all with a smile. She was friendly and helpful and a pleasure to work with. From now on, we will ask for her first. She was truly a joy and a great reason to come more often.

First time eating at Esparzas. We were in a group of over 20, made a reservation ahead of time. The restaurant gave us a separate room which was just the right size. AND ... I learned after-the-fact that Esparzas isnt accustomed to private parties! Went to have lunch with a new colleague and havent been in a long while but it was as good as I remember. We both had the lunch fajitas. I had beef and my colleague had the chicken. The chips and salsa was good but I could have used a little bit more heat. The parking lot in the back is decent but it can be challenging during dinner if I recall correctly. Even at lunch we had to wait for someone to leave to get a spot in the lot. There are street parking available but you would need to walk a distance to the building. The staff are great - very attentive and friendly but not hovering so much.

We were unfortunately very disappointed with our visit to Esparzas. After reading all the wonderful reviews, I was expecting flavorful Tex Mex. We ordered queso, the chicken enchiladas and Chile relleno. The relleno was smothered in sour cream that was almost gritty. The queso tasted like the fake cheese you get in the big cans. The chicken was dry in both dishes, with very little flavor. The beans tasted like canned refried beans, and the rice had zero flavor. Overall, the dishes just lacked seasoning. Salsa was good, and the only thing we enjoyed. Service is fantastic, which is the only reason I dont give a one star review. For an establishment that has been a staple in Grapevine for so long, we were expecting much better. This might be more of a place for those with picky eaters who like plain food. If you are looking for spice and bold flavors, I recommend you go elsewhere.

I asked a friend for a recommendation of great Mexican in Grapevine, and she said that Esparza s was on her list of have to try. The restaurante was set in an older-yet-maintained neighborhood (plenty of parking), with a smaller looking building and patio masking a much larger interior. We entered and were immediately surrounded by conversation, laughs, and very friendly staff. At the table, we ordered the house margaritas (one mango) which were all delicious. Chips were hot, and the salsa hotter - a slight kick to leave your tongue tingling for that marg. I ordered brisket tacos while my friend ordered guac. The guac was made table side - something I wasn t expecting - and was obviously fresh. She got to choose her mix-ins which added a nice bit of personalization to the dish. Watching the staff expertly craft such a simple dish with care around each step was just special. The brisket tacos were exactly what I wanted from authentic Mexican cuisine in Texas. Being from Kansas City, I ve had some tacos (and bbq) but this brisket was the best I ve tasted. The beans that came with it were also phenomenal, and I found myself scarfing them down before even finishing the first taco. We laughed as we reminisced of nearly a decade of memories unshared. More margaritas led us to closing this place down, and never once did we feel rushed or unwelcome. We continued chatting in the parking lot for another half hour before saying goodbye for another unknown period of time. Though we may not see each other again for some time, Esparza s will remain a core memory for me for many years to come.

We just had a fantastic dining experience! Despite being on a business trip and having a tight schedule, we made sure to visit this gem that we discovered years ago. The food and service were just as excellent as I remembered - authentic flavors and top-notch service. A definite must-visit if youre in the area!

This is a cute Tex-Mex spot in the middle of Grapevine. Margaritas were tasty but not really impressive. Friendly staff. Food was good, quantity and quality wise. The building is very nice and the mural in the ceiling is amazing. I rate atmosphere with 3 stars cuz people were talking so loud so it was not the best atmosphere, but I associate it with the margaritas the people drank during happy hour btw the place is not pet friendly

Two orders of Chicken Milanesa for my mother and myself. The dish consists of two pieces of chicken flattened, breaded and fried. Each dish lays over peppers and onions like you would get in a fajita. Every time that we have been here or have been at the restaurant is a 9 out of 10. Parking: This location gets busy on the weekends, but they have parking behind, and on the street.

We were staying at Great Wolf Lodge but looking for a restaurant outside of the hotel to eat dinner. Theres 6 of us (4 teens) with varying taste buds and we all agreed it was some of the best Mexican food weve ever tasted. We came 45 minutes before close and stayed at least 30 minutes after and still received excellent service. The food was delivered to our table incredibly fast and yet was still made to perfection. Love the salsa!

Absolutely phenomenal experience at Esparzas! My daughter, her girlfriend, and I visited today, and it exceeded all expectations. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff ensuring our every need was met. The food? Absolutely mouthwatering! Each dish was bursting with flavor and let me tell you about the enchilada sauce - hands down the best Ive ever tasted! We ordered two of the Brisket Enchiladas and Tacos Al Carbon. Delicious! To top it all off, the girls ordered margaritas and were thoroughly impressed. Esparzas has truly mastered the art of creating a welcoming atmosphere paired with outstanding cuisine. Five stars all the way!

This place is Tex Mex at it best. It is not authentic Mexican food or fusion Mexican - they are tex lex and proud of it. So, if you are in the mood, this place will not disappoint. My favorite was the frozen margarita. Delicious and perfect. With and without flavors. The food is just a delivery to help you drink more. Which you should responsibly! Anyway. Go to this place for the frozen margaritas and enjoy life! I am pretty sure I had the Chicken Milanese style plate. I am not sure, but I know it was amazing! And I need to eat something at some point.

I was looking for a good authentic Tex-Mex experience and saw good Google reviews and was recommended by an Uber driver to Esparza s. I found it to be just okay. Everything except the Queso was pretty bland. The rice had almost no flavor. The tacos al carbon were dry and not very flavorful. If it wasn t for the sour cream and pico de gallo on the plate they wouldn t have been salvageable. The service was quick and fairly attentive. The complementary salsa was the most bland salsa I ve ever had, it tasted like crushed tomatoes straight out of the can with nothing added. Some of the chips were half-stale. Our table was incredibly wobbly, so between our two different bites it was like eating at sea.
