We stop in on a Sunday recently the service was great, Maciunziy took care of all our needs, everyone we came in contact with (employees) were all extremely friendly & smiling! The restaurant was very clean. They have the best pancakes, but look out they are hugh!! I took mine home for a sweet snack later that day! Thanks Jakes, well be back forsure!

Not sure whether management or ownership has changed, but this place has gone downhill fast. Service was TERRIBLE (Xavier) the food was not hot when it came out and was overall terrible. It wasn t busy at 8 on Saturday, so I should have guessed that something was up. Never going here again.

Went here tonight and had a petite blond girl serving us. We waited for an hour for food and she never checked on us. She also forgot to give enough water to everyone. It wasn t too busy when we went around 9:15 either but ended up getting our food at 10:15. When I finally did get a water it looked like she had just taken it from another table and given it to me because it was filled all the way and was filthy. Will not be returning to this location again. The girl who served us was also just unpleasant in general. She acted like she didn t even want to be there and took forever to get us our check.

If I could give this place a -0 I would. I m a vendor at Grapefest & went in to buy a cup of ice water. They had a sign saying it was 2.99 && was charged $4 for ice water! The staff of this place was extremely rude! I understand y all are super busy & there s a lot of people but the waitress shouldn t be yelling at the customer excuse me get out the way! Also saw the bartenders, putting tickets on top of made drinks that s completely unsanitary & the drink station was disgusting.. please do better & treat your customer better since they are the ones supporting your business. Sorry but not sorry.

Jakes Special burger was very good and fresh. Instead of ordering fries I ordered Mozzarella sticks as my side which worked out very well for me. The sweet tea is how a Texan would like it. Sweet. After coming back from South Lake Tahoe it was nice to pay a fair price for a really good meal. Kate was attentive and did a great job. Greatvtiming on greating, ordering, service and with the bill. Highly recommend

We came here because there were good reviews. We were not disappointed. The burger I had was amazing. It had beef, pork, onion rings, BBQ sauce, pickles, I dont know what else other than it was so good. We also got sweet potato fries. When I dipped them in the sauce I was surprised. It wasnt ranch it was marshmallow sauce. Id come back just for that. The staff was great.

I have come here a few times and unfortunately had a less than stellar experience. I came back this tonight and it seems as though the staff has been upgraded! Everyone was cheerful, knowledgeable and efficient. Our party of two was sat promptly on a busy Friday night. We were almost immediately greeted by our waiter James. He was by far the best part of our experience. His demeanor was pleasant. Our order came out quickly and most importantly correctly. He was attentive but not to the point of nuisance. I will definitely recommend now and will be returning! Make sure to ask for James!

Ate at Jakes due to the amazing reviews we read, but my family and I were incredibly disappointed. I order onion rings and it had zero flavor, no seasonings on the rings at all. I also ordered the classic double where my patties were luke warm and again no flavor. I didnt taste any salt or pepper at the least. Our other food was luke warm and the fries were cold. Also Im not sure if it was the manager or the owner but she greeted and asked all the other customers that were there that night, which wasnt many maybe 4-5 tables in the whole place were occupied, how the food was, but never approached my family at all. We wont be back.

I came a few minutes before 9:30. Was seated and given a menu by one of the waitresses and was told another waitress would be there to serve me. 15 minutes passes by and no one came to even offer me water, especially with it still being so hot at night. I left because I knew the place closed at 10 and assumed someone would eventually come back to tell me they in fact could not serve me. I obviously would have much preferred that upon walk in so I could find somewhere else which I am currently having to do so late at night after working. We love eating at Jakes. This location is never overly crowded, so we have never had to wait. The white queso is addicting. I got the breakfast burger, but the camera doesnt do it justice. I would get it again. I have also had the double cheese burger. It was just as good, if not better. If you order an alcoholic drink, it can take a bit to get it, which is why I rated the service 1 star lower. If you dont order your drink when you get there, you may not get it until after you have gotten your food and finished eating. The fries are good as well; we added the salt ourselves. Due to the area there is no dedicated parking, from what I can tell. However, later in the day, there are typically open parking spots right in front. Otherwise, we typically park in a parking lot for a separate business that is across the street.

I had the chicken ceasar salad. There was bits of soft, mushy, brown, rotten lettuce in the bowl, the chicken was rubbery and dried out as though it were from yesterday, and the dressing was runny. With the sunlight hitting the wall at just the right angle, every bit of unwashed food splatter, smudge, and greasy finger print was visible. My friend had a Jake burger (that was good) but their accompanying salad also had rotten bits of lettuce and one crouton that was mystery wet. Service was a mixed bag.

Service was sub-par. No one at the front door to seat us. Three employees and a man who appeared to be a manager were all chatting it up in the corner. Finally, a server came over after about 10 minutes. We ordered appetizers, which she brought out with our meals. The appetizers (cheese fries), the cheese was hard and the fries were cold. I had a hot dog, which was okay, nothing to write home about other than saying I did not want mustard on my chili, cheese, and onions. Yrs they added mustard. My Mom had requested onions on her hamburger and there were none. Because the server never came to check on us, we had to make multiple attempts to flag her down to get some onions. Finally, a completely different server came by to check on us, by then we were just ready for our check so we could leave. The atmosphere was as you would expect for a mid-class bar/ burger joint. Ate at this location today for a nice evening dinner and ended up disappointed. When we walked in no one was there to greet us and we stood up there for a good 5 minutes before we ended up just sitting ourselves. Then we finally got a waiter that kept walking past our table telling us one moment only to make us wait another 5 minutes and it wasn t even that busy! When we finally got our food after all of that the fries were cold and soggy. I will admit the chili burger was pretty good but overall our visit was definitely not up to par. I had the Kickin Chicken Fried Bacon Burger, it was delicious, perfectly seasoned and cooked. My friend had the Chicken Cobb salad, she said it was very tasty. The service was wonderful, being a restaurant manager myself, Im a harsh critic, but our server Jessica was great, she checked in on us at appropriate times and wasnt pushy. My partner and I recently had lunch here on a Saturday afternoon with my parents who were in town visiting. The experience was wonderful from the moment we walked in the door to the moment our server offered us to go refills before we left. There s a hostess stand, but no one manning it. Sat ourselves after standing at the door for 5 minutes. After sitting at a booth for 10 minutes I decided to find a server and let them know customers were present. Food came fast, but was average at best. Cool atmosphere with lots of TV and a bar. Would try other places before coming back.

Food was average at best. The Jake burger was more bread & lettuce the burger was so thin it was lost in the rest. Husband had the hickory (? I think that was name BBQ burger) his was a double and said it was good. Two others I In group did not like their food, green chili pepper quesadilla (cheese not melted and no flavor) and the ham and cheese (way over cooked) sandwich. Kids pancakes okay. Would never return or suggest anyone eat here though.

So little attention was put into making this burger, and it was just disappointing. Pickles chips cost $7.99 for a tiny portion thats dripping with grease and came with the most watery ranch Ive ever had.

5+ stars! Food was amazing, best burgers we ever had! Staff was super friendly, shout out to Samantha who took care of our table and also JT who was the host at the entrance. Both are amazing, please make sure you keep them, they made us so welcomed and asked about everything.

Visiting from out of state, and hands down this restaurant discriminates against anyone with a young baby. They not only refuse any stroller of any kind but they REFUSED to seat my family because we had the baby with us! Management wouldn t even face us just had server deny us! Will be reporting to the better business bureau!

The best part of our meal was watching their host multi task like I ve never seen anyone do before. He greeted everyone, bussed all the tables, seated everyone, and did it with a great attitude. I m not sure if they were short handed tonight, but if his boss is reading this he or she really needs to think about giving the host name RJ a raise. Burgers and fries were great too!

Was going to eat here with my family but multiple signs on the doors said NO STROLLERS. Why have a kids menu then? No strollers in a walkable downtown? Are you serious? We had to eat elsewhere but I won t ever return to a Jake s again anyways.

Onion rings here are some of the best I ve had! Not the best burger experience I ve had. Let me preface by saying I came with a large work group late on Tuesday afternoon. Service was great. Burger was somewhat of a disappointment. I ordered The Works without mayo, add mushrooms. Though the bun was tasty, it was a bit chewy. The burger was missing the ketchup and mustard listed on the menu item, and the mushrooms came out on the side. Feel like there are better burgers out there.

Frozen bland Burger patties loaded with prepackaged sauces and mediocre ingredients to hide how lifeless and unappetizing they are. The buns are the best part of the burger! Sides are a la carte and equally unimpressive. Save your money and try the lunchroom at the local high school (or fast food). Vegetarian options: Black bean and beyond patties available. Dietary restrictions: Glen free buns and salad options. Kid-friendliness: Older kids will be fine but theres no room for strollers or high chairs.

I always say that it pays to be Kind and great service will always make good food taste GREAT! Simply put, that was my experience today! Chips and queso alongside a double bacon cheeseburger with a fried egg on top, how could I go wrong! (I should ve ordered those tater tots) It s just what I needed! Thank you Maddie for your time, service and for being a great spirit in the industry! P.S .. Will be back. Take care meanwhile.
