They were playing really old Chinese music that I grew up with so I knew this place was promising before our food arrived. The atmosphere is a very traditional Chinese restaurant. We ordered Tofu Family Style (vegetarian) and China Town (chicken, beef, bbq pork, shrimp, vegetables). Both were delicious. One great thing is they give you plenty of tofu in the tofu dish and plenty of meat in the meat dish, and also generous amount of vegetables. We also had spring rolls for appetizer. These are small fried crispy rolls just the way I like it, instead of the big fried egg rolls. Overall they have solid good dishes with a Cantonese slant and we will definitely return.

This was our first time and it was really good! Lunch portions were nice and came with soup and egg roll. I ordered a side a kimchee which did not disappoint. Service was great, food was very tasty, and price was on point. Highly recommend!!

I have been eating here for 20 years. The food is consistently good. I get a wide variety of dishes, except seafood, and they are all very good. I ve read some bad reviews here, but if there is a problem, they will make it right. Once my soup was too salty and I told them about it and they didn t change me for the soup. I highly recommended this place.

Well. I ordered chicken and broccoli and I m not sure what in the world this is. This is unedible and disgusting it s steamed? No seasoning or sauce? Instead it s sitting in chicken juice? Then I got fried rice it was old and way too salty. Left a bad taste in my mouth.. don t come here!

The best Chinese food weve had in the Dallas area, without compare. Our family of four each had a delightful experience here in every regard, from the moment we walked in the door. Extremely prompt service, faster than any restaurant in DFW. Food quality is exceptionally fresh with tender flavorful shrimp, chicken, beef and vegetable dishes. A calming ambience rounded this out to make for a wonderful dining experience for all. Definitely on our list of bests in this area.

Restaurant is completely empty and its obvious why. When you walk in it smells like a mobile home owned by a cat lady. Ordered the lunch special and wonton were over cooked. My Rangoons were ice cold in the middle just got my entree I got the sesame shrimp the fried rice is soooooooo dry and shrimp is not cooked long enough its way too doughy definitely would not recommend eating here.

My wife and I ordered Egg Drop Soup & Wonton Soup, Egg Rolls and Shrimp in Lobster Sauce with fried rice from Pearl Chinese Restaurant today. Everything was amazing. The meals were delicious and well portioned (too much for us to finish in one sitting). The egg roles wonderfully crispy. Best Fried Rice weve had in a long time. The service is was excellent. Weve been going to Pearl for many years and always enjoy it but wanted to let everyone know that their take out or delivered food is fantastic as well. Definately Five Stars.

I moved to this area 2 years ago and found this place. I have eaten here religiously every pay day and order the same thing every time. The food is always great! Not sure what has happened as this seems to be a newer problem as seen from other reviews .. but the service has gone completely down hill and for some reason when trying to place an order they are incredibly rude. I won t be giving them my business anymore. I m tired of being treated less than by these businesses that rely on our money to stay afloat. This my wifes favorite Chinese restaurant. Its not flashy but the food is great and always served hot and promptly. Staff is always in a happy mood and pleasantly eager to be of assistance. We be the house special soup. My favorite is the pepper steak and their lunch menu comes with an egg roll, rice bowl and your choice of soup. My wifes new favorite is the shrimp in lobster sauce. Dinner portions are much more bigger, so come hungry, share or be prepared to take some home. The lettuce wrap appetizer is much more than anticipated and the egg rolls are yummy. 06.10.23 Closed Mondays Kid-friendliness: Ive never seen kids younger than ten in here. Wheelchair accessibility: There is only one handicap parking in front of the door.

The staff here are very nice and very attentive. Our daughters drink would be half full, and they would refill it without us asking, and our 9-month-old was getting a little fussy and our server brought over a fortune cookie sealed to distract him so we could enjoy the wonderful food. The food was delicious, so full of flavor and just the right amount of spiciness. The spring rolls were nice and crispy. We shouldve gotten more they were so good. I ordered tje Kung Poa Chicken, and it had nice chunky veggies, lots of peanuts, and I asked for less spice, and it was delicious. Our daughter got Orange Chicken, which came with steamed broccoli and I have never seen her eat all her food so fast lol. Overall its amazing, they are amazing, highly recommend and we will definitely be back!!

Neighborhood Chinese restaurant. I order delivery from Pearl at least once a month. This is one of those small town restaurants that has been there as long as you can remember. They consistently get my order correct. The food is good. The people are nice. They have their own staff that deliver the food, not one of the app delivery services.

Nice little local Chinese restaurant.. Ive been here a number of times, the food is excellent, however however the interior of the restaurant could do with an update. Ive had a number of chicken and beef dishes there or, I especially like the Mongolian beef and generals chicken. The prices are quite reasonable and the service is generally quite good and fast. If you can get by without the ambience of a fancy place, then give this place a try, you wont be disappointed with the food. Update, 5-3-22. Everything is about the same with this location. Same staff, comma who are very professional and attentive is an attentive. Theyve added some new chicken dishes which are all excellent but, I prefer the garlic chicken. I still highly recommend

I hate giving bad reviews. However I want to steer people clear of this place. I will give credit where credit is due. The staff was friendly and the food came out hot. But unfortunately that was all that was good about this place. The War Won Ton soup was the worst we have ever had. Boiled chicken with the smallest shrimp ever. Literally like popcorn shrimp. Next the wontons were nothing but the wrapper. Only the smallest piece of meat could be found after you tore it apart. The rice was horrible and the BBQ pork tasted days old. And to top it off we got bit by mosquitoes under the table during our meal. Safe to say we will not be returning.

I have been coming to this restaurant for 11 plus years. I was the only person in the joint. I got scallops and shrimp and was enjoying the food until I saw something in my food, I pulled out a 3 inch hair. Called the waiter over and handed it to him between my fingers explaining the problem. He acted like he didnt have it, I recognized him from past experience for years past and always tipped nicely. Ok, dont call me a liar, because I eat out everyday and I will never come here again. Good business and communication with regular clients is key to succeed. No wonder they were empty at 6:00 on a Friday.

Went today. First time and was sooooo disappointed. Waiter acted like he didn t want to be there. The food was marginal. My egg roll literally tasted like....a dirty sock....best way to describe it. Awful. My mom had the Egg Foo Yung and she ate pieces of the vegetables from the middle and left the rest. It wasn t even the right color. Pearl is amazing, you should simply take my word for it. You dont know me so I will elaborate. The Crab Rangoon is the second best Ive had (the first place was this little place outside of Denver. I will never reveal the name because I dont want them to become famous and then I will loose my secret take out spot. Chinese takeout is my jam and you could consider Pearl my album I have loved it since I have moved here. My go toos there are the Chicken Fried Rice with Pineapple added Beef Lo-mein, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and Egg Drop Soup. That added with the Crab Rangoon I can feed an army, or my family can enjoy the food day after day. My family often thinks I got it from Pei-wei or PF Changs because the food tastes so good, until who ever is buying sees the bill and we average around $30-40 for that load of food. You can not go wrong with the delivery either. You will be quoted some time of 30 min, maybe longer. One order we made from phone call to delivery was fourteen min. 8 May Update I have come back and gone from 4-5 stars, the quality somehow through this hardship has improved. The food always arrives hot, it is fast, it consistently amazing and has improved, even with everything going on.

My family loves this place! We order take out usually. Egg drop soup, combination fried rice and lo mein. Plenty of food that taste great. Weve been customers for years and never had a bad experience.

I dont know what these naysayers are talking about, this place is absolutely fabulous. From the time you walk through the door you are greeted. The service is always fast and the food always hot and delicious. I frequent this restaurant and have NEVER had any issues with the food or service. Even the bathroom is extra clean! I recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a good meal.

We always pick up Chinese food for New Years Eve and Pearl is our favorite restaurant to go to. Service in the dining room is always excellent and the food cooked perfectly with fresh ingredients. Take out orders are large and always accurate which is a blessing when multiple people add or subtract something to an entree. Love this restaurant, staff, and management!

There is mold in the ceiling. The restaurant smells like mildew (probably from the carpets). The food was disgusting and almost inedible. We went on a Friday evening and there was only one other customer there so I dont imagine this place will be opened much longer.

My father and I ate here for lunch today. He had orange chicken and, I had beef in garlic sauce, both dishes were excellent and had a lot of flavor. The meals come with soup (wonton, egg drop, or hot and sour), an egg roll, and fried rice. The portions are large. The meal was delicious, the soup was great but, the fried rice was a bit plain. I have read reviews where people say the service isnt good, I didnt find that to be the case. The server was very no nonsense and didnt smile but the service was timely, if not friendly. I recommend it.

Disappointing. I had heard great things about Pearl, but sadly in was left with a bad taste in my mouth. I ordered the lo mein with shrimp. It had tiny salad shrimp and tasted like it was a frozen box meal. Portion was large and if it had not appeared to be a meal from Walmarts frozen food aisle the price would be reasonable. The restaurant is clean (including the bathrooms) and has a pleasant atmosphere. The staff polite and neat. Plenty of parking.

OMG...this is the worst food experience Ive had in a long time!! I went in and placed and waited for my order. I asked a lady who was also there waiting if the food was good as this was my first visit. She said yes...so I figured it was worth a try. I ordered General Tsos chicken with fried rice and broccoli. This is one of my favorites, so I felt comfortable with ordering it. The chicken was a dark brown color in the inside, the sauce was a spicy oil and not the thicker sauce normally associated with Generals chicken. Matter of fact, I didnt realize that it was an oil and the bag leaked onto the seat in my car on the ride home. The egg roll was also a dull brown color inside, so not sure what that was. Couldnt stomach it, now hangry. The staff was not friendly at all, so they wont have to worry about me or my familys business.

Visiting Texas and received as a recommendation. This is the worst customer service and food was not great. I ordered pork fried rice received chicken fried rice and when I called to ask for the correct order I was told I didnt know the difference between the two. Really?!? I have been on this Earth for over 40 years and apparently I have nrver tasted chicken to know the difference. On top of that I was told that if it was delivered and I was wrong I would be charged extra? WOW lucky for them I guess they dont have to worry about customer service. So if you go pick up your food and dont get it delivered you may be lucky enough to get the correct order. If not steer clear from this place you order at your own risk. As I said food wasnt really good so o cant even say at least food was good. It was not good at all.

Very delicious Chinese food! First time ordering from them and I am very impressed. Ordered the egg drop soup, beef and broccoli with fried rice, and egg rolls! Yummy! Delivery was on time and food was hot and packaged well. Will defiantly be ordering from here again! I love amores next door now I can go to both.
