We recently placed a catering order with Bartley s BBQ for our church outing last Saturday, serving a group of around 50 people. The food was a hit! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it, and we received many positive comments. From our initial inquiry about the menu to making adjustments to the order, the staff at Bartley s BBQ was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Smoked meat aroma upon arrival is a great sign of good BBQ. We chose Bartleys based on the 4.5 star review and the menu options. The mere fact that my 9y picky eater ate all of his turkey and cooked-to-order fries is a testament to how good the food is. The ribs were excellent, as well as the greens and rolls. Other family members enjoyed the brisket, chicken, and mac and cheese with no complaints. The stars are well-earned and well-deserved. Service was good and quite fast given the time of day (around 4pm on a Saturday), and the staff was very gracious and welcoming. Definitely stop in and grab a plate if youre looking to satisfy a craving for some good Texas bbq

The ribs are fantastic. I closed my eyes with the first bite. Friendly people behind the service counter, lots of tasty sides, and the place feels exactly how a no-frills barbecue place should feel. Vegetarian options: I would not recommend to vegetarians. Many of the vegetable sides have meat in them. Not all of them, but it would be a challenge to make a filing and balanced plate for a vegetarian. Dietary restrictions: I avoid gluten (not celiac, just avoiding inflammation), and I had no issues finding tasty things to eat here. Plenty of sides do not have gluten, but dont expect to find a gluten-free dessert.

This is a great Ma and Pa shop vibe BBQ spot. It s one of the more cost efficient spots in the area. I have never been disappointed with anything here and it s classic Texas bbq. The jalapeño sausage, pulled pork, Mac and cheese and jalapeño cornbread are just a few of my favorites.

Came here for lunch while visiting Grapevine from out of state. Wanted a traditional meat and sides bbq meal that wouldnt break the bank. This place 100% met that. My son and I each got the two meat meal for $13 each. So many things I wanted to try. Went with ribs and brisket. My son the ham and brisket. All were great. Would recommend this place to anyone.

A family-owned gem that s been around for decades!! The food is always so delicious and fresh and the service is amazing! The inside of the restaurant isn t anything particularly special, but it s clean and sufficient for a family sit-down meal. We ve been going here since I was a small kiddo. This was only my second time here. It was just as amazing the 2nd time as the 1st. The food is all amazing. The meats are cooked and smoked to perfection. The sides are almost too numerous to mention, and every one of them Ive tried has been delicious. There are three side sauces available; mild, spicy, and sweet. All 3 taste great. I combined the spicy and sweet together for the ribs that literally fall off the bone. The staff are dedicated, always smiling, and work at making your visit as pleasant as possible.

Just moved to Grapevine and was excited to try Bartleys based on the location and high reviews. Unfortunately, I was severely underwhelmed after trying them out. As someone who has tried about 32 (and counting) different BBQ places in Texas so far, Bartleys probably wouldnt make the top 30. I got a 3 meat plate: sliced brisket, sliced jalapeño chedder sausage, and pork ribs with mac and cheese and pinto beans. -Brisket: Mostly dry and main flavor profile was smoked meat; not much flavor in the way of any seasoning. Required BBQ sauce -Jalapeño cheddar sausage: Probably the best thing I got. Decent flavor and nice heat from the peppers. -Ribs: A little dry. Had some decent flavor, but nothing great. Required sauce. -Mac and cheese: average at best -Pinto beans: Decent I tend to find that the best BBQ (regardless of Texas, North Carolina, KC, Memphis, etc) is the kind that doesnt require the sauce; the sauce is merely a bonus option. I didnt feel that was the case here for Bartleys. The sauce was absolutely necessary. All that said (as nicely as possible), I do have to praise the service. Everyone was friendly and helpful! Additionally, the cost for what you get is very good. If I were to get the same 3 meat plate just about any other place here in Texas, I would probably have paid almost double. Summary: While your wallet might be happy with the end cost, you might want to consider other BBQ places in the area for more flavor. I would say this place represents old, small-town Texas BBQ (pre-2000s) and is left in the dust by the newer places from the recent BBQ Boom over the last 8-10 years.

Top notch employees!! Greeted with a smile and very friendly service. Showed up with my kids and a mess from swimming down the road at great wolf lodge. The food was delicious!!! Went with a group of 9 for dinner one night after a work conference. The selections was plentiful and the service was friendly and prompt. The man who prepared our plates answered all of our questions regarding house favorites and recommendations. Most in our group had sliced brisket, jalapeño cheddar sausages, pulled pork and macaroni. Others also had bbq beans, jalapeño cheddar cornbread and corn. Consensus from the group was that the sliced brisket was very good, the pork was ok, the macaroni was not very good and bland. Also the jalapeño sausages were ok and the bbq beans were very good. Also the smoked bologna was very good. The cornbread was just ok and the corn was nothing special. Several people in our group stated that the temperate if their food was not very warm and that they might have liked all the food better if everything would have been warmer. We did come in close to closing and while the business was not busy, maybe since they were close to closing, things were starting to shut down and that had something to do with the food temperature. Everyone did comment that the workers/manager/owner were all very friendly and maybe in a future trip to town, we would try the place again. There was no wait the night we went in and that was another plus as Hard 8 had a 1-2 hour wait on that same night.

I was welcomed in by the staff and was provided excellent service. The brisket was cooked and sliced perfectly. The pecan cobbler sealed the deal for me along with the cookies. Higher prices this week, which is a fact of life. Dont like the new credit card processing fee on top of the higher prices. Just bake the fee into your higher prices. And to top it off, new register with a default of 20% tip when paying. All three combined made for an unpleasant visit. Brisket was good.

This is the real deal, not some gas station knock off a real GEM of a BBQ spot! It s what I dream of as someone coming down from WI to TX on vacation. You walk in and the place smells like an actual smoke house. There is an offering of all the old time meats and sides you d expect. The guys there were so nice and went out of their way to make sure we had a fantastic experience. Family friendly and the sauce is some of the best I ve ever had. 11/10 would recommend! Gotten take out from here several times. The barbeque is always good -- especially the sandwich plate with chicken. The problem is that the cashier is clearly unhappy. This last time, she literally yelled at the line guy for getting things out of order as re-arranged my and my co-workers orders (out of order). Best ribs and baked potato! I eat there once a week. Potato is gigantic with plenty of cheese, butter and bacon bits. Ribs are tender and juicy. Prices are reasonable. Service is prompt and friendly. This was by far the most disgusting establishment I have ever been in. I cannot believe the health department hasn t shut this place down. Roach infested and dirty. The food was awful. When you see this BBQ restaurant in a strip mall near downtown Grapevine, you dont expect food this tasty -- from brisket to bologna (pictured with this review). We were quite pleased with Bartleys BBQ when they catered our anniversary party. In fact our guests loved it. During a decade or so -- yes that long! -- weve driven to Grapevine to enjoy their very tasty dishes, including one of my favorites -- potato salad. The prices are reasonable, the portions generous. The staff is very friendly, making my wife and me feel like members of their family.

I ordered a small portion of Chicken, Mac N Cheese, Baked Beans and Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage. They also gave me a Sweet Roll. I was able finish my chicken with the Sweet and Spicy Sauces. The girls that served my food were friendly and helpful. I felt a bit hot inside the restaurant. I noticed more people started walk in after us which let me know its building cliente and doing well with the food and service they give. Keep it up!

My favorite bbq in the area. Meat is perfect not to mushy not to firm but just right. This hickory bbq has bin perfected over decades and the sides are amazing. I recommend the ribs and the pulled pork. The pecan cobler and baked goods are made fresh and a perfect complement to the meal.

I discovered Bartleys many years ago and this place is by far one of my favorite BBQ spots in DFW. The assortment of meats (ribs, brisket, smoked chicken, Cajun turkey, pulled pork, several sausage options, and even smoked bologna) and fresh sides they offer are the best. The mac n cheese, baked beans, greens, and rolls are all must haves. Although they dont offer all you can eat BBQ on Fridays anymore, you can still get all you can eat catfish on Fridays. Bartleys is definitely the only stop for BBQ if youre in the Grapevine area. If youre not in the area, its still worth the drive for some good BBQ. Pricing and portion sizes are very fair!

Ribs were great and the sides were delicious but the brisket was super dry and very very smoky. I d go back for the ribs and baked beans but no need to get the brisket at all
